I didn't have any fetches, but my mythics were Liliana, Linvala, Craterhoof and Griselbrand, and I did also get Blood Moon, Goblin Guide and Damnation (aka all the non-fetch-rares worth over a pack) as well as Deaths Shadow, Abrupt Decay and Stony Silence, and a few smaller rares that I had use for (Most notably a Cyclonic Rift for EDH). So while my box wasn't amazing it was definitely good enough for my tastes.

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I'm over the moon right now. Easily the best box I've ever opened. Although I'm kinda scared too, this seems like too much good luck at once (although to be fair, I kept playing slots and gave back most of what I won).
At least it makes up for my godawful Aether Revolt haul.
Our booster box draft had Goyf, Cavern of Souls, Griselbrand, Foil Marsh Flats, Foil Zur the Enchanter, 4 fetchs (missed Verdant Catacombs), Damnation, Blood Moon, and some of the mid value rares like Cage, Stony Silence, Venser, and so on. 2 Paths, 2 Inquisitions, 1 Might of Old Krosa, and 1 Serum Visions in uncommon slot. Not bad overall.
3 fetches (Mesa, Catacombs, and Flats) were the main notables. Only one Path, 2 IoK (1 foil). My mythics were Entreat, Olivia, and Temporal Mastery. Foil rare was Primal Command.

Complete garbage. 3 fetches and not a single other card over $4 including the foils. The hell with Wizards. I'm done with this game.
Tired of every box and fat pack being a total waste of money. $189 plus shipping for $75 worth of cards. What a big middle finger to their customers.

If you add up the cost of the $1-3 dollar rares and the below notables I probably got most of my money's worth. But definitely not buying a second box like I originally intended.

Uh... don't most customers know that buying any 'randomized' product is akin to buying lottery tickets? Some boxes will be above the average Expected Value, most will be below, and when you buy one you do so knowing that to be the case? If every box was above the EV... that wouldn't be the EV. They aren't actually printing money. They aren't creating wealth, giving everyone stuff worth more than they paid for it.
I think quitting the game over a bad booster box is a bit of an overreaction mate. I mean, that's like being pissed off when you put $200 into a slot machine and it only spits out $100. Everyone knows that packs are a gamble, and you probably won't get a return equal or greater than your input. You knew what you were signing up for when you ordered it. My box wasn't much better, but I'll take what I can get. A little more trade fodder for the binder. If you're just in it for the trade value just buy singles next time?

I can understand how you feel. It sucks to not get close to your value when you make a purchase. I used to play a lot of Limited. So it's not exactly "opening a box" per se, but for the most part, the packs I opened had very few money rares. In fact, I played Limited for many years before opening a Mythic. Players used to tell me that they were 1 Mythic per 6-8 packs and I just did NOT believe them, to be quite honest. But to be fair, my first Mythic opened up was Jace, the Mind Sculptor when it was $40.
I've learned that you never expect any value if you open packs. At least that's the way I saw it. In Limited, I could make up for opening $0 worth of cards by getting first place and then getting store credit or sell the packs I get. But nowadays, the prizes are not quite as much, so I rarely play Limited, despite the fact that it is actually very fun. It's sad when terrible pack opening has steered me clear of a format that always was my 2nd favorite format. And never ever buy boxes. It's just not worth it (this is coming from someone who has opened 6 boxes of Revised, 3 boxes of Tempest, 3 boxes of Urza's Saga, and 1 box of Nemesis in his life, including a god box of Revised and Nemesis). Just don't do it. I'd rather buy someone's single card that I need for 20% over TCG low.
*And I realize that I'm a huge downer to this thread. If you enjoy opening that triple the value box after opening 10 other boxes that don't have value, then so be it. Some people just enjoy opening boxes and can put aside the poor performances for the ones that put a smile on their faces. Then there are some people that seem to open better than the average person.

Of course I know that. But it's every damn box. They don't need to make me rich. Just have value in them. Negative $110 isn't even close to value. Random always means complete garbage with Wizards product. I'm sick of it. In a masterpiece set don't fill it with $2 mythical and charge $10 a pack. Shame on me for having any hope I guess. No more. Same garbage every Masters set. I'll take my money to a hobby that provides something for my money other than a box full of nothing.

I feel like you need a reality check.
This is a form of entertainment - a game, which is produced for profit by the company making it. Pretty standard issue. Tell me, how much money do you get back after paying for a round of golf? How much do you get back when you buy a new console or PC game? How much hard cash are you making back when you go to the movies?
Listen, I'm not normally one to defend this game. But, if you're willing to buy a box of cards with full awareness of the randomization, then it's on you. Wizards isn't misrepresenting this game - they don't even set the secondary market price in the first place. So, your "negative $110" isn't even determined by Wizards!
You need to come to the realization that this is a form of entertainment - not an investment. However, it just SO happens that the community and vendors of the product have set it up so uniquely that you can actually get everything you want for the EXACT dollar amount that you're willing to pay. You want exactly $189 plus shipping worth of cards? You can buy the singles you want that add up to $189 plus shipping! You have that option! YAY!
2 minutes after I got to the store to pick up my box, another customer came in for hers. Boy, am I glad I came first (although, no telling what she got, might have been a foil tarmogoyf!). After I opened my first 7 packs, I had (rough in pack rip order):

It's not a bad box, it's 50 bad boxes.
It's a game that intends us to get cards from packs that will never yield the cards we need.
It's a culmination of almost 20 years and seeing the last 10 years with no randomized product worth a crap.
It's by far the worst CCG for opening packs and it's gone on too long. Don't make the Masters Series a slap in the face. Customers don't like being treated like garbage.

But if you had lucked out and opened Jhyrryl's box contents as posted above, you'd stay?
You don't see the fallacy there?
Even if what you say is accurate and fair... why did you buy a box assuredly knowing the odds? Why would you having gotten lucky the one time rather than unlucky again change WotC's business model and your willingness to subscribe to it?
You had a chance to exercise your option before every single box purchase. And you kept opting for the lottery ticket.
Tarmogoyf
Scalding Tarn
Cavern of Souls
Goblin Guide
foil crap rare (I don't even remember what it was....Desecration Demon?)
bunch of junk rares (including TWO Extractor Demon)
1 Inquisition of Kozilek
2 Path to Exile
Comes out to about $160 if I buylist absolutely everything and take a bump for store credit. Not bad, seeing as I only paid like $190 to roll the dice on the box. I have another one coming this week, but I'm going to keep it sealed for a little while I think.
This box didn't have anything crazy but I came into it expecting to open 24 junk rares like most of the people at our store opened with MM15 - including one of those "misprint" boxes where each column had the exact same rare, all three of them being 50 cent rares.
All told I got 4 fetches (the only one I didn't get was Misty Rainforest) as well as Basilisk Collar and Goblin Guide. Zero paths or Inquisitions (though I have my playset, they'd only be to flip) though I did get 2 Serum Visions, 2 molten rain and a foil Spell Pierce.

Of course, that meant I couldn't pick up my box pre-order until today.
First five packs, meh (Although I'd always kinda wanted to build a Zur, the Enchanter EDH deck.
Next pack, the rare is Olivia Voldaren. And behind that....
FOIL TARMOGOYF
I called my mom after that. Just had to tell someone. She has no idea what a Tarmogoyf is.
Five packs later- Misty Rainforest. Seven packs after that- Arid Mesa
Two packs later Blood Moon and the VERY NEXT PACK throws in a Damnation
Final pack? LILIANA OF THE VEIL
Also got like five Paths and three Visions.
