Yes that is normal. They did not add the hologram until m15, so any cards printed before then will not have it. Those cards are from Innistrad, a set printed before m15, which is why they have no holo
A little beside the point, but gold cards usually refers to gold bordered cards aka multi-colored cards. The cards in your picture are simply referred to as 'Rare' as that is the rarity the gold set symbol indicates.
