I`ve sworn by Dragon Shield Matte sleeves for quite a while now. The problem is that my current green ones aren`t 100% opaque, which forces me to use checklist cards for DFCs. I know it`s supposed to be the correct way to do it, but I`m getting tired of accidentally showing my opponent my Delvers when counting my sideboard and such, so I want to start playing them in the sleeves and taking them out to flip them instead. What colors of Dragon Shield Mattes allow me to do that? I know the black ones are OK, but everyone`s got those, so I`d like to avoid them if possible.

When I hit my 3000 post mark, I'm gone for good.

My cube uses the Dragon Shield Matte Blues. Completely opaque for DFCs, though I will say I did struggle occasionally with double sleeving them.
If you try double sleeves on dragon shields, don't force them, just try a different sleeve. Occasionally the tolerances between the particular DS sleeve and the particular perfect fit are just too tight. I had maybe 4 instances of it while double sleeving my 450 cube, and spent waaaaaaaaaay too long fighting with the first one.
Darker colors are your best bet. I have had problems with pink, orange, yellow, white, and light blue colors. Thought not every batch. Ask at your LGS and they probably have a few random sleeves lying around for you to test.
I just purchased a box and could see right through to the card. Completely useless for DFCs.
I've been looking around to see if anyone had done a review on the different colors to give them a pass/fail rating if you could see through them. Nothing yet though.
Golds, Silvers, the metallic blues that I forgot the names of, Copper, and obviously the black sleeves are all alright
For anyone who might be having a tough time double sleeving with Dragon Shields I learned a neat trick a few years ago - put your card in the perfect fit, and then put it in the Shield with another, non-sleeved card and the added friction will prevent the perfect fit from wiggling away. Then you just slip out the unsleeved extra card and carry on
