This is kind of a weird question, but I have a few vintage, expensive as hell unopened boosters in my collection. How would you guys go about protecting them?
I thought about shadow frames, but to be honest, I don't really want to hang them on a wall or even display them. Just keep them in an extremely secure enclosure. I was thinking something like this:
Hmmm...vacuum sealing... I dunno, that seems like kind of a shoddy way to go about it. I could consider it if I had a large collection of unopened boosters, but I have just a few.
That's what I'm using currently! I bought the smallest one I could find at Harbor Freight, but it still seems a little bit overkill. I mean, it does its job at protecting them, no doubt. I said it wasn't for display, but maybe it might be lol? See, I don't wanna frame mine and hang them on a wall, but I do have a shelf with all the From The Vault sets displayed nicely, and I think it would look really nice there, you know? Not a frame, but not a box either lol. That's why I posted the image of the screwdown at the top - it's the closest I could find to what I'm looking for, but again, I don't know if it's big enough to fit 10 cards in it.
Get them graded and the company thats grading them will put them in a secure box!

I am trying to get better at making decks. I have had trouble creating more competitive decks as I only really build with the cards I have. I dont have that many value cards, in function or expense. I (almost) never play at FNM type events so its not like im playing against $2k decks. If I do usally play at one, Its a draft or limited game. Any advice on building decks is greatly supported! DMs are appreciated.
Thank you!
To put it more simply, it's like saying, "I can prove Jesus is real and loves you. See? Here's my Hispanic friend Jesus. He's had a crush on you for a long time. Tell em' Jesus."
Here's a joke! Whats the internal temperature of a Taun-Taun?
I mean...look at that *****. :/ Are there any other services that...well, do a better job?
Ok, honestly, I have no idea. I only knew that packs can be graded, and following the trend, they would be encapsulated. Is the folding that detrimental or is it personal taste?

Beckett is the only other one I know of. I've been told more than once that PSA is "friendly" to those who have touched up their cards such as nicked cards or trimming whereas Beckett is far more strict. If I recall correctly there is only one 10.0 graded Black Lotus done by Beckett.
Personally, I think the treatment of said pack by PSA, especially after a grading is a good example of why PSA graded cards should be called into question. The grading is for the pack, as a whole. Folding the pack would be akin to folding the card.
As for the plastic. Acrylic is acrylic. Visit a brick and mortor store like Taps Plastic and talk with them. Maybe they can help with a custom case.
As a sport card collector primarily, here's a couple notes:
1. Beckett doesn't grade packs. PSA is the only reputable TPG company that will grade packs and that's only because of their contract with BBCE and Steve Hart. If you want a pack graded it is PSA and PSA only.

But would something like that be even able to fit a 10-card booster?

Oh snap! That's actually perfect! How much does that typically cost, though?
EDIT: PSA has a pretty solid grading price...except, I REALLY UTTERLY detest how they encapsulate them.

2. Use these: They will fit your packs just fine.
Did you forget to add something?

TAP has this on their website.

I have no idea as to the dimensions of a vintage pack but it seems big enough.
Edit: Nevermind, it's only 1/8" thick space inside.
