Have you ever read a card and thought "How in the heck is this not a *insert creature type here*??" Most of us have.
What are some examples of creatures' types you have seen that you would change if you could? And I don't just mean you would change Tarmogoyf to a Merfolk so it would slot into your favourite deck or something like that. Make it for flavour reasons.
For me, well ever since Time Spiral block when I first saw Boldwyr Intimidator it made me wonder why Norin the Wary was a human warrior and not a human coward.
Xira Arien is the big one for me. I know she looks like an insect, but her flavor text clearly states that she is in a costume. I know it ultimately doesn't matter, but this one bugs me every time I play her as I think she should just be a Human Wizard.

I'm sorry that the insect type "bugs" you so.
I can't think of any specific examples but I know they've had a number of cases where they really mixed up the Shaman vs Wizard thing.
The Rogue creature type didn't exist until Llorwyn block.
As for Norin, both him and Intimidator came out in the same block/year so there could have been some forethought about the creature types maybe.
The point is, we're giving errata to the types so it doesn't matter when they existed or not.

She changes her costume every hour though. Shouldn't she be a Shapeshifter?
Because "going rogue" doesn't make you of the "rogue" class. He's just not hip with the other elementals anymore. He's not going around picking locks with his vines.
I think it's weird that Mirri the Cursed is a Vampire Cat while most vampires are not Vampire Human. Similarly, Human Spirit makes a lot of sense, but is always labeled as "spirit." Why do you stop being a human when you become a zombie, but Entrails Feaster doesn't stop being a cat? Inconsistent.

Well played
Regarding the "Shaman vs Wizard": I too have not seen any specific examples, but I know others have brought up certain cases where it seemed inconsistent.

I don't know. I guess I could see the argument. Maybe she isn't truly changing costumes as much as changing herself so Shapeshifter could fit.
I do know I have seen other cards that didn't seem to have right creature type, but I can't think of them right now. I will say that my favorite card in terms of its creature types is Nameless Race. I thought it was interesting they did this after the creature type update that occurred.
There tons of walls I would change to be zombie in addition. And I dislike how much love Skeletons get.
I respectfully disagree, wizards practice magic without much add of alchemy. Personally I think it should have been an artificer, since that is closer to alchemy then wizard or shaman for me.

Also agree with thermo-alchemist not being a wizard. Wizards cast spells and such and practice magic. Alchemy is brewing potions and stuff, another thing entirely and something a shaman would do in a fantasy setting.

The Naga creature type in general. I feel they should just have been snakes. Which would be nice as it would let theme work with snake tribe. Also the Orochi are bipedal, don't have tales and they got to stay snakes. Seshiro the AnointedSidisi, Brood Tyrant

This. I mean, I guess technically she could be an humanoid Insect who changes costumes, but that seems far-fetched.
I'm the complete opposite of all these people asking for Nagas to just be snakes.
Bird-people should be Aven, cat-people should be Leonin, rhino-people should be Rhox, elephant people should be Loxodon, snake-people should be Naga, etc.
Why? For both flavor and consistency. Viashino don't have the Lizard type, Merfolk aren't Fish, and Humans don't have tribal synergy with Apes. The sapient species probably shouldn't be lynped in with the non-sapient species for both practical and flavor reasons.
Also, Zombies of human corpses should be Human Zombies. Every other zombie from another species gets labeled with it's living type, human corpses should too. So should vampires.

I agree though as stated before the Kamigawa block with its snake people tribes being called snakes and fox humanoids just being foxes it threw a big wrench in the works of that convention.

Selling some cards I don't want.

My vote goes toward Ornithopter not having a creature type at all.
So, secondary types for undead could do with more consistency.
For the same reason, Tree Monkey and Zodiac Monkey need to be Monkeys now.
And Monkey Cage needs to make Monkey tokens.

Check Gatherer, it appears your wish has come true! Ravenous Baboons also got the monkey treatment.
Still nothing for Monkey Cage >:-(

Every Biology major who read this just had an astigmatism.
