Gearhulks aren't legendary.
Powerful creatures like Huntmaster of the Fells are stronger because they're not legendary.
EDH is the only setting where legendary is desireable.
I am still waiting on more EDH support for Kobolds as well as Ninjas - legendary and just better support in general. I would love to build tribal EDH decks for both those.
A 5 color Myr commander would be cool too.
Also, one I have been wanting for a while now is a zombie commander in UBRG colors...my current zombie tribal really needs Deadapult for giggles
This is really unlikely simply because of what being a Thrull means. It would take some sort of contrived unlikely-hero story situation to make a Thrull important enough to be legendary...
Lately it feels like Wizards just isn't even interested in supporting Folk of An-Havva tribal at this point
Jokes aside this is kind of a more interesting topic at this point in the year - the two biggest asks of the thread (werewolves and spiders) got their wish granted but frankly kind of poorly at both ends - Ishkanah, Grafwidow is a solid Standard cast but Delirium has very little to do with Spider tribal and her 6B ability may as well just not be on the card - and then Ulrich of the Krallenhorde is just bad. Sour grapes I guess!
To address OP, it's obviously time for a legendary Spirit that interacts directly with the creature type (and isn't one of the Kamigawan silly legends)

Yes, I would greatly love having a legendary spirit that doesn't cost mana like uncle Urza came back from the dead and decided to start up the official planeswalker mana tax.

1. (Ravnica Allegiance): You can't keep a good esper control deck down... Or Wilderness Reclamation... or Gates...
2. (War of the Spark): Guys, I know what we need! We need a cycle of really idiotic flavor text victory cards! Jace's Triumph...
3. (War of the Spark): Lets make the format with control have even more control!
While they are not "creature" types I would like to see more "class" type support. Sure we've seen a bit of pilot support in Kaladesh, and maybe more in the next set, and we got Warrior love in Khans of Tarkir block, but I would like to see more of the legends focus on class type rather than creature type.
After that I would enjoy if Skeleton saw some more love with legendaries, and more love in general, with only Skeleton Ship and Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon. Seems like zombies are always getting the attention over skeletons. Only two showed up in SoI block in total, that's rather sad for something about horror, but something tells me it is because of WoTC stepping away from regeneration and cutting out of the game, for the most part. Ironically Skeletons are getting boned in this situation.

If we are talking about worthy generals, they don't need to belong to the tribe - they simply need synergy with that tribe. For instance, Caller of the Claw could be a good general in a bear deck, or Skyshroud Poacher could lead an elf deck (obviously I mean if they were legendary). A legendary thrull master would suffice just fine, I'm sure. Likewise I'd be perfectly happy with some sort of elephant rider.

Why is it only a blessing in commander? As a casual player i love to play some nice Legenday creatures as they are often really powerful and can end the game pretty quick like the Garhulks from Kaladesh
I think he means that any legendary card you use outside of commander would be just as good (or better) were it not legendary. Obviously he wasn't considering the "vorthos" perspective though.

Ulrich was underwhelming but we still have Tovolar and Skaharra.
I'd love to see both of them get cards, because the characters are really interesting. I just hope they don't make the same mistake they made with Ulrich if that ever happens.
During Theros block, I was really hoping for a five color legendary enchantment creature. They came soooo close with Chromanticore. Honestly, it should have been a legend with all those abilities it has. It would be great to play with all the gods with an actual enchantment creature general, rather than just any of the other five color legends.

You technically can build tribal ninjas now, you would just have 4 or 5 actual ninjas across the entire deck, since the two legendary ninjas are both mono-colored. The real problem isn't the commander, it's that there's only 10 ninjas in total.

Yeah, a UB commander would be nice, but more Ninjas in general would be even better for sure.
Cats. Sure, they have 10 legendaries, but all of the good cats and support that you need for a decent cat EDH deck are in White, Green, and maybe Red. All of the cat legendaries are mono colored. I would love a GW or Naya cat legend.
Also, Treefolk. And an actual werewolf legend.

a better BRG insect, and
a better RG hydra.
Also a five color angel.

On the flip side, now that we have our Dwarven legendary of Depala, we need more dwarves, specifically white ones!

I could see a legendary elephant or "mammoth" if we had a prehistoric kind of world.
it should be a beeble that makes beebles and then throws them at things with a zing and giggle.
