I know a lot of people are disappointed that Wizards failed to print either a legendary spider or legendary werewolf. What are everyone's favorite types that they've been waiting for a Legend to show up? What do you think Wizards might print in the coming sets?
I think that if we're going to Egypt, it would be cool to get a legendary crocodile. And I'm sure they're aware that we expect mummies.
Some legends might be silly: Ouphie, Construct, Illusion Cromat
I think they did a good job so far with how they implement Legendary super types. I cannot think of any type that hasn't received its dutiful legend. You can complain on legendary werewolves, but remember you got a planeswalker instead. How is this not better than a creature?!
I would love for more legendary zombies. The one corpse to rule them all type.

I hate this argument. Arlinn Kord is a planeswalker, sure, but it doesn't have any mechanical relevance that is unique to werewolves, nor can it be a Commander outside of house rules. It's like when people say that Mogis, God of Slaughter is a good minotaur commander just because he's pictured as one. 'Tis not the case.
As to the larger discussion, werewolves, minotaurs, and spiders are lacking a commander. I'd also really like a Boros knight.

Where are you getting this? If this game goes to Egypt without resolving anything in the storyline, I'm out...
There is speculation that the next block is egyptian themed in the rumor mill on this forum (haven't read the actual thread, don't know how valid it is). The next set is still Eldritch Moon, which will take place on innistrad, and continue the current story. The story also seems to be more continuous these days, so I wouldn't be surprised i some story threads span into the next block. They will not just up and leave without resolving anything in the urrent storyline.

Not everyone plays commander, and other than that format there is no mechanical need for a legendary creature. While Arlinn doesn't use the same transform triggers as other werewolves, that makes sense, since there's really no point for a planeswalker to flip on your opponents turn (except for teferi emblem). Also minotaurs are not lacking a commander, zedruu is a great commander for many of the minotaurs in the game, and probably better than a black red commander, since some of the coolest minotuars, like etherium-horn sorcerer, are blue.
I think that asking for a legendary creature to represent a type is different from asking for a commander for some tribe, and while I understand that commander is a fun format, I also think that you don't need a legendary creature of a certain type to be your commander to make a fun tribal deck, even though that does help.

Legendary creatures are only a blessing to commander. Outside of that "legendary" is a drawback on a card. So if someone is asking what legends you want they are invariably asking what legends you want for commander.

I think you'll need to qualify what "lacking" means for minotaurs. Zedruu the Greathearted and Tahngarth, Talruum Hero are both legendary minotaurs. Now, if your "lacking" meant lacking tribal support, you'd be right on both counts, along with many other creature types with non-lord legends. Do you not like Zedruu for being a group-hug commander that clashes with the usual minotaur play style? Is Tahngarth being mono-red enough to act like he doesn't count?
UR Artificer, atm you have to use Mishra which is weird in commander (but has some interesting interactions).. I mean there are a bunch in other colour combos so it doesn't quite count.
Horror would be an interesting creature type to have as a legend particularly with its sudden importance in Thing in the ice... *searches* oh there are a bunch of horror ledgendaries but they are all from when legend was a creature type but none can play thing in the ice.

Can I play Kragma Warcaller in Zedruu or Tahngarth? If it's not obvious (I thought it was), I'm talking about commanders that are actually mechanically relevant to their tribes. Yes, Zedruu and Tahngarth are minotaurs; I'm aware. That alone is not good enough.

Obligatory Mistform Ultimus reference. Everyone can now be satisfied...or not.
Ever since the Khans block I've wanted a Legendary Rakshasha. Maybe some additional playable Rakshashas would be nice too.
Also, a Legendary Djinn is long overdue in my humble opinion.

Ah, so there are qualifiers involved, as I thought. Chances are, there will be a legendary werewolf in Eldrich Moon, and, given the design of the tribe as a whole, it will probably not be that good in EDH. While it would be presumptuous to say that it would be mono-colored or end up with a useless ability like poor Dragonlord Kolaghan, we're talking about an aggro-based creature type in a format that isn't friendly toward aggressive strategies.

To be fair, I discussed those qualifiers in the post you quoted originally. You excised them.
Even if the legendary werewolf ends up being mediocre, I'd still run it so I can try to cram as many cool wolves in there as a I can. Of course, I can do that now with any old RG legendary creature, but it would be so much more satisfying with a proper werewolf commander. I know that's a very subjective POV and may not make sense to everyone.

I would like a legendary illusion personally.
Why is it only a blessing in commander? As a casual player i love to play some nice Legenday creatures as they are often really powerful and can end the game pretty quick like the Garhulks from Kaladesh
