Everybody who knows me or takes a look at my signature and avatar shouldn't be surprised that Liliana is the number 1 for me.
But after her it's actually Nissa. Which is surprising considering that I wasn't a fan of her at the beginning. But as time moved on, I actually came to like her and the color Green in general.
I can sympathize with the idea that Elves should should take a bigger role in the world since I was always a fan of Elves in general. Lord of the Rings certainly helped with that.
The two Im definitely not excited about are Chandra and Jace.
Chandra just never managed to ignite a spark in me(pun alert) and I kinda dislike everything about Jace. From his looks to his personality and attitude. He just reminds me so much of Justin Bieber and that is definitely not a good thing.
I picked Chandra, because we still haven't gotten a truly great red PW. Latest chandra and Koth were both pretty good, but I'm really hoping wizard's figures out how to make a powerhouse red walker that still feels fair. Cube would really, really like one, as the current best red walker is splashing for ajani vengant.

I feel somewhat biased as I already know and like Liliana's card, while the rest are speculation at this point.
Chandra is the one I'm most excited to see, because I really hope this is the time red gets the Planeswalker it deserves. ( Please don't give Tibalt Junior: red can afford to be OP sometimes ).
Nissa is the one I expect to be most useful. Her original card was a bad elf tribal thing, but her new card focused on land manipulation, a really exciting theme for me as a player ( tons-o-fun in my Titania EDH ).
Gideon is my least favorite white-aligned Planeswalker. His card would have to be pretty awesome for me to want to EDH-ify it. Despite white being my fave color, I keep on not wanting to play the cards it's given!
I kind of wish Jace would go away, just fall into a timerift somewhere. Come back, Tamiyo, we love you!
Quick question, where is Gideon actually from? His art says Theros but Boros... Personally i think Chandra will be cool followed by Gideon. The rest im not as fussed about.

I believe he's from Akros in Theros. The boros coloured city.
i'd be happy to see a useful chandra, but i'm most excited about nissa. world waker nissa was so great and a power house in the right deck.
nissa will be awesome (hopefully)
chandra will probably be terrible, just like all of her other incarnations.
giddion will most likely have his signiture indestructable creature ability and nothing else
lilliana is probably going to see lots of play due to her really flexable mana and the way black's curve works.
jace...eh, just give me back the first jace and i'll be happy.
Chandra. I'm looking for a Commander to build a goodstuff mono red deck around. I find the existing red Commanders to be weak, uninteresting, or incentivize me to build a deck in a certain direction that I'm not interested in (artifacts for Daretti, Scrap Savant; creature tokens for Purphoros, God of the Forge)

Chandra and Gideon. I need a strong 4-mana planeswalker to replace Elspeth in my Boros Control deck and hopefully one of them will be 4 mana and be able to act as a win-con.
I really hate the dfc mechanic so I don´t expect much from these "half-walkers". Because of this, I am not particularly exicted to see them - especially since I fear that every one of them will start as a mediocre creature which needs even more work to turn into a planeswalker. ~ So in most games you don´t even get to play with the planeswalker side.
But I would love to be wrong about this, an agressive 1-2 mana drop for "Chandra the creature" with an easy way to flip (e.g. dealing damage with red) would be amazing :D. At the moment I don´t expect much play value from these cards.
Ummm, the only one spoiled so far is pretty damn good for a 3-drop.

Fair enough, seems like a stupid question now haha. If that's the case, and slightly off topic, how and why did he end up on Zendikar?

Yeah and bonus points for being able to be put into play with Collected Company.
Instant-speed planeswalker coming.
I personally am hoping for all the flip walkers to be 3 cmc, and put them all at the new Lili powerlevel. While I'm not a blue or green mage, I'm getting tired of seeing blue and green cards cost way to much mana to see constructed play.
I would love to see a playable Chandra. While I love Liliana, they aren't reprinting Veil, so I can't really get excited about a new Lili, as she won't be better.

Dude, have you seen the new Liliana http://www.mtgsalvation.com/spoilers/149-magic-origins? She's dope! I realize that countering creatures before they enter the battlefield is about the easiest thing you can do in Magic, but once she does enter the battlefield, there are multiple ways to turn her into a planeswalker easily enough. She's the closest we'll get to a reprinting (at the moment) of Liliana of the Veil, a card that was WAY undervalued at the time of it's initial release, but then went on to cost upwards of $80+ (on the cheaper end). Although I don't think it has been officially stated in the rules yet, I believe that her "flipping" from a creature into a planeswalker WILL NOT use the stack, much the same way morphing a creature with the Morph Mechanic does not use the stack. And she passes the "planeswalker test" because she immediately "protects herself" by putting out a 2/2 Zombie to block for her. All for 3 mana!!!
All that being said, I really, REALLY want a full playset of her. Liliana wasn't initially my favorite planeswalker, but over time she's definitely grown on me. And she consistently has good/useful planeswalker cards made of her. Chandra on the other hand... I love me some Chandra. But for years, I could never get her planeswalker cards to work for me all that great. It wasn't til about a year or two ago, when I really started to evaluate cards and what they could do, that I realized how bad her planeswalker cards have been. Her latest incarnation, Chandra, Pyromaster is, IMO, her first competitively playable card. Here's hoping Wizards can improve on her even more and finally make her a contender and highly sought-after card!
1. Liliana. Already built a Tiny Leaders deck with her at the helm. Testing is going well, transforming her is absurdly easy in black.
2. Chandra. I own every Chandra card, including Manga Chandra and SDCC Pyromaster. I even have her Pop Doll. I just hope they make her as powerful as Liliana.

"I hope to have such a death... lying in triumph atop the broken bodies of those who slew me..."
You don't call "dying to removal" if the removal is more expensive in resources than the creature. If you have to spend BG (Abrupt Decay), or W + basic land (PtE) to remove a 1G, that is not "dying to removal". Strictly speaking Goyf dies to removal, but actually your removal is dying to Goyf.

Her "Flipping" is worded with "Whenever" which means a trigger, which means the stack. So... you can kill her in response to the trigger
I can't seem to find a planeswalker I like. They're all too cheesy for my tastes, especially the flagship ones. Set specific ones tend to be much more interesting, but for all the attention they draw to themselves with their large "personalized" art, mythic rarity and token storylines... they're simply boring characters.
I would not mind seeing some of the old favorite Legendary Creature characters that aren't burdened with lore turned into planeswalkers, like Arcanis the Omnipotent... especially if they had great art like said card. And different art from the annoying photo realism they push on almost every PW. Why not have Richard Kane Ferguson, Nils Hamm or Rebecca Guay do a planeswalker? And I'd like to see some interesting and interactive mechanics on them.
Agreed wholeheartedly. Magic's story in general isn't doing much for me these days. I miss old characters like the Weatherlight crew; they had a lot more personality.

Well I can definitely understand how all the Chandra fans are feeling.
I think she is the planeswalker with the worst track record currently. Chandra Nalaar? Meh Chandra Ablaze? Such sweet art but sadly on such a bad card. Chandra, the Firebrand? Still not there. Chandra, Pyromaster? Finally a playable Chandra. That being said she is decent but not "OMG so good. Chase mythic. Buy and play four of them".
Well, like some others have said in this thread, I'm pretty much going with Liliana by default. While my preference may definitely change as more walkers get spoiled, that doesn't change the fact that I'm excited to use the new Liliana in an EDH or tiny leaders deck (heck, she's already a pretty fitting replacement for my casual Kuon, ogre ascendant deck).
