I always thought that those overpriced full art Unhinged lands were a foolish thing to have. They were expensive and looked... plain. But then, while drafting, my friend let me use his land which were Unhinged. I signed and put them in my deck. However, in the first game I was amazed at how awesome they looked. The art which was boring at first looked almost haunting, yet beautiful. I looked up the author Jon Avon and saw his other work and jumped with excitement. In conclusion... I looked up all stores in my town and found a owner sitting on a bunch of these land who sold them to me at 5 each. $120 later I have my decks pimped out.
What lands do you guys prefer to use? In my other decks I'm using Jon Avon basic foils from Urza and below. They look awesome.
I thought the same way, but ended up paying more than I could have gotten them for before, from $3-6 for every Unhinged land that I have. My favorite lands to play are the Guru lands, but since I have so few, it's hard to play them in decks and match. Other lands that I love are some APAC and EURO lands. Many of them are just beautiful.
Some of the cheaper lands that I like (which is odd because I hated them with a passion when I played them in 1995) are the Snow-Covered Lands. It's nice having basic lands with another "type" that are not going to be adversely affected. They're nice to play during winter season too, although California hardly has a "winter" that many others know and love.

The unhinged and unglued cards do look amazing. I really like the APAC promo lands (especially the swamp out of the APAC blue pack), however most of the ones I have are still in sealed packs and at $70 each I am terrified to open them. When comes to lands from normal sets I have always like the look of the Time Spiral basics, I just wish I could get the art in the old border.

In play: Jund Death Shadow, Grixis Control, Eldrazi Stompy, Ponza
In the yard: RUG Delver, Kiki-Chord, Grixis Twin, Mardu Control, Smallpox, Jeskai Control, Jeskai Delver, Assault Loam, Elves, Deathcloud, Eggs, Storm
I would like to play with the Unglued lands or the Judge promos, but their price is absurd for some lands. I play with Zen instead. If full arts didn't exist though, I'd be all over the Urza Saga ones. That classic art is just amazing. I really wish WotC would scale back the computer art.
I've been collecting promo lands since the first ones came out last millenium, so I have plenty to choose from.
My favourite ones are Unglued lands, as I like the level of detail and they were the first full art lands out there. After that it usually depends how many of each land I need. I have 20+ of certain APAC arts, certain Euro lands, all GURU's, Arabian Night's Mountain, Portal 1 and 2 lands, Unglued, Unhinged and Zendikar and some beta arts. 10+ of certain alternate Portal 1 chinese lands, rest of the APAC and Euro lands, several Arena lands, some of the MPS lands and some others (alpha, beta release Plains). I generally avoid playing foil lands, unless I have lot's of foils in the rest of the decks too, so I haven't put that much effort into foils, but have few choices there too for decks using 2-12 of the same land. I have two 3-row binders full of lands.
Before I got enough promo lands to play with, I was using Mirage lands, as the arts are just stunning, and beta, as I liked the ambiance (and they were a dollar each in mint condition).
I use Zendikar, got them at $2 each in trade, use Unhinged, but I usually use Alpha lands instead as they're cheap yet very beautiful. Can't use black border lands, newer they are, the less I can use them.
STATISTICS.
All of these "Let's eliminate bad cards" crusades are simply ignorant. And when they start to devolve into "WotC is conspiring to give us crappy cards," they just become embarrassing. MATH is conspiring to give you crappy cards.
Yeah, my two babies use only unhinged and unglued lands and they get a lot of attention. Thankfully, I didn't drop tons of money on them, I just happened to buy a lot of the un packs haha.
For some reason, I really like the look of the old border on land cards. But Unglued lands just seem sort of garish to me with the funky looking mana symbols, so I stick to basics from Masques-Onslaught where possible.
I use full-art Zendikar basics. John Avon art, except for the mountains where I use Véronique Meignaud because the arch mountain is awesome.
When fetchlands were reprinted in Standard, I picked up foil copies of the Forest, Plains, and Mountain so I can fetch them.
For my mono-black Modern or Commander decks, I have foil Odyssey and Invasion swamps which I received as a wedding present many years ago. The foil in old border looks really cool, and they have great memories.
I can't say I'm pleased to see you and must warn you I may have to do something about it.

I have Unglued lands in my legacy deck and enjoy those as the three basics in that. For everything else, I primarily use John Avon's Kamigawa lands or particular ones from the Ravnica sets.

One of these day I have to get myself organizized.
I play with Unglued basics. I pretty much bought GP Toronto out of them a few years back and have played with them ever since.
Before that I was playing with Revised or Unlimited basics. Back in ZEN/SOM Standard I played Valakut so I was searching for lands constantly and white bordered lands made it easy.

I love the land art from the Alara block, its some of my favorite, my decks will usually run the lands from them. of course if I could afford to drop $5 per land, I would love to run the lands from the Un sets. I have a lot of zendikar lands that I really enjoy as well.
Another set that I really appreciate the art from is Rise of the Eldrazi, it looks very unworldy, like the Eldrazk, funny how that works. And when you put them in a row they form a panorama, which is pretty neat.
Guru forest for lands. Foil Zendikar basics for modern decks, foil unhinged for legacy decks other than lands.

Who me?
I like playing with ALL the lands.
In terms of basics though, alpha/beta, old frame foils, or guru.
I like using Fourth Edition lands. They're nice and white-bordered and the 1994 copyright date is kinda cool.
But seriously, I do like Unhinged lands (I have a thing for the more realistic style they have, plus they've got the best full-art frame so far), but I wouldn't pay current market prices for them. It's just getting too excessive for what they are. Plus I like having all my lands match in set if not in art. So for decks where I can't use Unhinged lands (in my case, things involving more than ten Swamps or three Forests), I tend to use Zendikar. Sometimes I'll get creative and pick random old-frame lands. Mono Black Devotion in the old Standard used Tempest Swamps, for instance. I just like the written-out "T: Add B to your mana pool." templating rather than the confusing-for-newbies giant mana symbol (that's why so many new players think Elvish Mystic is "T: Rampant Growth").
You know you're a deeply enfranchised Magic player when even basic lands are serious business.
The lands I enjoy playing with the most are my APAC Promo basics (Japan). Most people don't realize that my Islands are promos, but the graveyard Swamp always gets a second look.

I'm not big into full art stuff.
Selling some cards I don't want.
