I know that the Eldrazi were inspired partially by the Cthulhu mythos, but that includes the whole host of various Lovecraftian entities beyond the scope and comprehension of human existence. I'm particularly interested in which card(s) have the most Cthulhu-like feel to them, he of the nightmare corpse-city of R'lyeh, where dead Cthulhu waits dreaming.
"A monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind."
He has been described as a mix between a giant human, an octopus, and a dragon, and is depicted as being hundreds of meters tall, with human-looking arms and legs and a pair of rudimentary wings on its back.
Based off that description, I'd say Hypnox is closest in description to Cthulhu. Visually it looks very similar to how Cthulhu is described and its effect makes some "go mad from the revelation" (exiling their hand)
Emrakul is more like Azathoth and Yog Sothoth.

Yeah I'm personally inclined to Say Hypnox I mean it's a nightmare horror that <snip> your mind (Exiles opponents hand) Oh and it Flies so it probably has wings even if they are not visually clear in the artwork.
Wouldn't Nemesis of Reason be a fit, art-wise at least? Sadly he's not particulary big nor legendary, but...

My Commander decks:
Chandra, Torch of Defiance - Oops! All Chandras.
Prime Speaker Zegana - Draw for Power.
Pir & Toothy - Counterpalooza.
Arcades, the Strategist - Another Brick in the Wall.
Zacama, Primal Calamity - Calamity of Double Mana.
Edgar Markov - Vampires Don't Die.
Child of Alara - Dreamcrusher.
I like the art of Nemesis of Reason, but I think it's a sad thing that it's not as big or legendary.
Drelnoch looks like he just walked out from the Mountains of Madness.
I'm on the fence about colorless versus black and/or blue. While a being being basic human understanding may transcend the color pie, I also think that that the cosmic indifference that Cthulhu represents has a black side, indifferent to concepts of morality found in other colors.

Wrexial hits the mark the best both visually and ability wise imo.
How is Wrexials ability at all Cthulhu like? He steals a spell you've already cast. Seems to me that Cthulhu would have no need or interest in copying on you your spells/powers since he's so far beyond you. Honestly seems about as far from Cthulhu ability wise as any card is.

Chasm Skulker is supposed to be inspired by Cthulhu.
I opened one at a M15 pre-release and decided to buy a Cthulhu doll from the game store as a token for the Squids. I think it brought me good luck. Nightmares ever since though ...

Candidates:
Lorthos, the Tidemaker
Pros: Legendary, as Cthulhu would be one of a kind. Giant octopus.
Cons: Doesn't have the same connotation of madness and dread. Just an octopus.
Wrexial, the Risen Deep
Pros: Just look at the guy.
Cons: 5/8 seems kinda small.
Dark Depths
Pros: Legendary. Huge 20/20. Sense of Merit Lage slumbering, waiting.
Cons: ?
Other nominations?

I will always firmly stand by the belief that Magic is a game first and a collectable second.
pros: Legendary, has tentacles, drives opponents to madness

So yeah, Wrexial would be the most unofficially-official answer.

And *sleeping* under the ice and all. Just saying.
It's her or maybe Emrakul.
And before them I would've said Hypnox or Cosmic Horror, yes.
Unspeakable also gets a nod, certainly..
I can see Wrexial but he's just too humanoid for my tastses. I need...bizarre.
