Was feeling kind of nostalgic recently (I got into MTG as a young kid back in 1994 when I was like 8 years old, and played casually till about 1999 and then quit until starting back up again about a year ago).
Anyway, way back then, I bought some of those special edition World Championship decks that came in the all-black packaging and had gold-borders on each card instead of the normal black or white borders.
I think I got the Svend Geertson deck, and the Paul McCabe deck and the Brian Seldon deck (I pretty much just bought them at random of whatever colors/style of deck I happened to think was cool at the time, being a little kid, so I probly didn't get the coolest of the championship decks available at the time, but oh wells).
Anyway, so I was looking through my old cards tonight and was kind of smiling and reminiscing looking at this old Paul McCabe deck sandwiched randomly in one of my cardboard mtg boxes that I had forgotten all about, and I got all nostalgic and went on wiki to look up some of the other decklists of the MTG World Championship series decks from back in that era, and I got to looking at the Jakub Slemr deck (the one that was primarily black with a couple other colors splashed in that was like a Murder + aggro knights deck type of deck (he won the World Championship with it in 1997). Spent a while looking at the decklist imagining to myself how it would operate and figured out its general concept fairly quickly and was pretty impressed with it. Simple, but very cool/efficient in how it enables you to murder so much of your opponent's stuff so easily and two-birds-with-one-stone-ishly etc and just aggro the crap out of them.
Anyway, I was thinking it would be awesome if I could find some old tourney reports from the 1997 worlds (or 1996 or 1998 if nobody can find the reports for 1997) if maybe anyone actually recorded or wrote down how Slemr's matches went, especially the final matches of the Worlds that year.
I looked for a while to see if I could find anything on it, but haven't really found much of what I'm looking for yet. Was wondering if maybe any of you know some articles or game reports from back then that I could look at?

Thanks
upper right corner has several reports on world's 97 (links work, but I did not read them myself).
