For it to be worth it, you would need to pull 2 Tarmogoyfs and a BOB.
Other than that you can pull some of the swords. Fire and ice, light and shadow.
Most of the mythics tend to be about twenty dollars, so you should come out with a decent amount of value in your cards, but unless you think you can use a lot of it, i wouldn't bother.

Whats the big deal about black lotus you ask? Well you see, there is no big deal about it. It IS the big deal.
I wouldn't buy a box just for cracking, but if you can draft it also, go ahead.
In my opinion the draft format is one of the more fun ones in a while, with enough archetypes to keep it interesting and still be pretty balanced. But if you are looking to get chase cards, just buy the singles. It's pretty rare to crack enough in one box to get all your money back.
But it can happen. This was one sealed pool. Foil Goyf and Lightning Helix, regular Bop and Kiki-Jiki and few decent rares.
Sorry for the crappy pic, but I was somewhat exited.
A group of mine usually hold a monthly Chaos Draft and one of the guys keeps talking about each of us going in about $60 to buy a box of MM just so we can draft it. I would much rather do that than just buy it to open and hope to pull something good.
When Modern Masters was released, my playgroup held 8-man drafts. Our agreement was that if we pulled a 'premium card' - 'Goyf, Bob (or something of similar value), we would sell the card and split the profit within the group to minimize the expenses as a whole. If anyone wanted the premium card to his/herself then he/she can purchase it at a lower cost than what we would normally ask for it. We'd play 3 rounds then pool all the Mythics, Rares and Uncommons. First place gets first pick and so-on then we'd follow a snake-format in the picks (1st-8th, then 8th-1st) to ensure that everyone would get (or at least try) to get their money's worth. We'd use Wizard's Event Reporter to make pairings and to make sure that the standings are accurate. The players keep all the Commons they picked.
We were only able to do this twice though (we got a 'Goyf and a foil SoFaI in one box and a Clique and lots of pretty good rares in the other) because of supply issues but it was very well worth it.
Modern Masters was sooo fun to open (and draft) and if money is not really a concern and there are MM Boxes available in your area, go right ahead!
"Worth it" is kind of a relative term. What are you going to do with it? What do you want from it?
From a pure investment standpoint I suspect there are stronger/safer buys right now. I mean you only get 24 packs and there are a lot of non-Goyf mythics in the set, making it easy to whiff. You don't get him or a premium foil mythic and you likely lose on the deal.

anyways as far as modern masters box goes its what 350 or so now
and goyf is like 190 i think so if you pull one goyf the box will almost definately pay for itself
