Standard rotates too soon from my point of view, you just build a deck, and its last 3-6-12 months
Invest on Standard dont deserve it, you never play enought a deck and its rotate
You play 1 o 2 times per week, and you spend more money on the deck that time you play it
Standard must last 3 YEARS, 3 Seasons and we have Ravnica + Theros + New Block
Modern its cool but you cant play your standard cards on it ... its a fool magic

Standard cards are certainly legal in modern. You can choose to play your standard cards in it if you want to.
If you go to FNM and play with people, you get tons of play. If you also do the drafts, you can get a decent amount of cards for your card pool, build a good deck, and be ok.
We have a standard that lasts 3 years... that's called extended. You get the 4 most recent sets.
Also, you get a point across a lot easier if you proof read and be sure you pay attention to the way you say things.
Unless it was done on purpose in which case i will be turning 720 degrees and walking away from the thread.

Whats the big deal about black lotus you ask? Well you see, there is no big deal about it. It IS the big deal.
I always look forward to the rotation, it's interesting to see how the format changes.
I trade online a lot, so it never takes me too long to get a deck. I also try to gear my deck toward the newest block so that I don't lose too much due to the rotation. And then, after the rotation, I slowly transition to the next block and its mechanics.
Standard is all about rhythm. Unless you are playing competitively, I'd advise taking it slowly. Trade as much as possible instead of spending a bunch of money on singles, this way, you won't feel ripped off after the rotation.
My guess is that English isn't the op first language so give the a bit of slack. While I do agree that sometimes it seems standard seems rushed, I think it's fine as is. The only thing I really dislike is when a block rotates and you're left with the previous blocks 3 plus a core set plus one from the newest block. The 3 months between the newest core set and new block is IMHO the funnest and most exciting time to standard since you Have 2 whole blocks plus 2 core sets to play with. Unfortunately that time passes far too quickly.
I can't imagine Standard with M14/Ravnica and Theros only for 3 years, sorry, but no, the change with rotation is something to look forward to - leading to new deck ideas and stuff springing about.
Just don't play standard. I kinda have stopped playing standard for the most part. Low power level and a rotating format, and the fact that most the cards tank after rotation, I would rather have some stability.
An idea that myself and my friends have had (probably not original but hey) is that instead of a whole block rotating, only one set rotates every 3 months.
Honestly, I think it's too long. I can't wait for Theros to rotate soon enough, but I'd love to keep Return to Ravnica.
I'm more eager for RTR to rotate if only because it will be a bigger shakeup. Although, there aren't any card in RTR I'll be particularly happy to see go away, unlike for Theros.

This would be exciting, but probably a little too intense for most (1 rotation per year is already too intense for a lot.)
I actually asked MaRo about why they don't do the rotation one set at a time, and his response was that they thought about it, but the blocks were designed to play together, so rotating one set at at a time wouldn't be in their best interests.
edited to say that by blocks playing together, I meant that Zendikar, Worldwake, and Rise were meant to play together, not that Zendikar block and Scars block were meant to play together.

This would be abysmal.
It would be harder to design cards for, it would be absurdly confusing for people who dont play at their LGS every week to keep track of, and it would force everyone to completely redesign their decks even more often than Standard already forces them to do.

That is how things were 20 years ago, before block design was a thing. It was a miserable experience for many, many people because the lack of depth in the card pool & said shallowness leading to Black Summer, several months where the Type II (Standard) format consisted solely of Necropotence decks & decks designed to beat Necropotence. 4th Edition/Fallen Empires/Ice Age was not a fun or diverse format at all.

Hey all... I'm retired, not dead. Check out what I'm doing these days (and beg me to come back if you want):
For me, I would both not object to them letting STandard sit a little longer, but I'd also be happy if they just kept the CORE set in for 2 years instead of just 1. Every other year do a major print of something like Conspiracy or Modern Masters to keep us busy in the summer, but leave the core in for 2 years, increase the reprints in it, reduce the jank.
Standard gets stale enough as it is, although I am sympathetic to the expense of rotating cards.
Every July-August, I have The Great Standard Sale. You recoup most of your money that way, and if you know what you're doing, you'll keep the cards that will see play in other formats, allowing you to actually make a decent amount of cash in the long run.
