I have never opened a god pack, all-foil pack, miscut, blank card, or any other oddity, barring two commons in a Mercadian Masques pack that had an odd silver oval on them.
That's it- two commons since '99.

These days, some wizards are finding they have a little too much deck left at the end of their $$$.

Me neither. Oddest thing that's ever happened to me was getting two MBS packs as a prize in a draft, and both of them containing a foil Red Sun's Zenith.
Commander Precons are just good value. They however aren't randomized and thus they have a pretty easily determinable effect on the value of the cards, and its not like each card in the decks is a legacy staple or something.
And Wizards is planning to print C13 to meet demand (eventually...), so they ought to drive down prices for anything in the list (eventually...)
I was just noting that I think this is the closest thing we'll ever see to WOTC intentionally creating God Packs.
Modern Masters is much closer to being a God Pack, since it's an actual pack, has a guaranteed foil, and was more valuable at release than any other pack at release.
I helped a shop open an urza block (can't remember which, too far in the past) box from a crate in the UK where the rare slot was an uncommon, and the uncommon slots were rares. The second box in the crate turned out the same.
At that point, in a massive act of awesomeness, they held back all the other boxes from that crate for drafting. Only two and about 1/2 more were flipped, but they made for the most amazing (and well attended!) drafts ever.
Only one I ever opened was a pack of Fallen Empires that contained just six cards but all six were U1 (or what WotC now considers rare for FE). Hit the big money that day; my $0.50 investment paid back a whopping $2 or so.
never seen or heard of a god pack. closest thing ive had was once, on a whim, i checked out those 6pack boosters they started doing. The set was Zendikar. I found two fetchlands, scalding tarn and misty rainforest! I dont remember what else was in it, some jank, but still, it was enough to make me try another one later.

Someone mentioned earlier that occasional GodPacks would ruin draft - I'm not sure how. You only get to keep one card and pass the rest along. How would this 'ruin' draft?
Even in Sealed - there could be a very simple rule to avoid unfair advantage.
'If you open a GodPack, you are required to immediately alert Tournament Officials who will provide you with a replacement [you get to keep the GodPack]'
This actually happened to me at a prerelease where I got two of the same common [one of the White flying cat riders]. I immediately called the Judge over [lest I be accused of cheating]. The Judges talked amongst themselves for a few minutes and let it go.
Sports card manufacturers have been known to purposely produce "hot packs" of rare cards to entice more purchases and "gambling" to get one. The ploy worked great when there was a highly sought after Autograph, short print card or rookie card in the set. The manufacturers happily advertised it, though.
I dont know if WOTC would do such a thing, but if that were to occur, it would be VERY unfair in a draft. I would think that anything like this happening in Magic is an accident and they purposely keep some collation in their distribution.
BTW, my daughter pulled a foil 8th edition *** and a regular *** in a single pack. I called that one a "hot pack".

WotC wouldn't do it for just that reason. They design the rarity distribution for draft and sealed. Putting in something that just gives it the middle finger would make it almost impossible to balance.
And if we're all throwing out our hot pack stories, I recall an incident in WWK draft where a guy picks up his pack for 2nd pick and he's staring at a Jace TMS. He turns to the guy and just goes "What the HELL did you get?". The other guy grins and shows us all a foil TMS. That was a hot pack.
I had a similar experience for Modern Masters. I picked up my pack for my second pick and it had a Tarmogoyf in it, so I looked to the person to my right and asked him what he took over it, and he showed me the foil Tarmogoyf he had already sleeved up. I'm glad I asked, because otherwise I would have tried to cut hard into green and probably failed.

There is no 'token/foil' slot. If you get a foil, it takes one of the commons' spots, not the token spot.
If you actually got a foil in the token/tip card slot, however, that would be a printing error worthy of this thread.
Instead of the deck I got 99x True Name Nemesis and 1x Alpha Black Lotus.
you kidz got PWNED.:nod::nod::nod:
