Following up after gRR!! isn't that fun
Amazing stuff gRR!!
Anyway!
I finally got a hold of one of these beauties!
Lets see if you can guess what it is! That's the only camera i have currently.
Wow, that's quite a potato you have there. Maybe if you spent that money on a nicer phone instead of on foil Mox Opals ;P
For real though, sweet pickup. I've wanted one of those since they were first spoiled, but cube has to take priority y'know?
What do you guys think of getting really premium cards signed? I've got a few really high end foils that I'm sort of on the fence about whether I want them signed or not, despite normally being a really big artist signature guy. Specifically I'm thinking of my foil Liliana of the Veil, judge Mana Crypt (especially cause Matt Stewart's signature is kinda bleh), in the future when I get my hands on a judge Force of Will (again with the Matt Stewart, guys) and my foil Dack Fayden.
Hoho, yes it's quite the potato, it's my backup phone since my primary phone is broken.
Didn't had the money to get one but someone reached out and wanted some Merfolks that i had, i'd rather trade and put a little money in between the deal just to save some money for rougher times.
My oppinions about signs:
I would'nt sign the most expensive cards, i mean there's a niche market for it but often times its just treated as damaging the card. Sign the lesser expensive ones, do not sign the premium schtuff!
I recently got a signed Mana Crypt in almost perfect condition, but most stores etc. label signed cards as damaged/HP ones. But it looks good with the sign.
Well, GP Dallas was a successful excursion. It cost me a Bazaar of Baghdad, 3 Snaps, 3 Lilis, a set of wastelands, and more unmentionable things, but here's the outcome (high res shot enclosed). #lifegoalacheived
Chris has signed the toploader, not the card itself FYI.

Legacy: TES
EDH: Grand Arbiter $tax, Freyalise Stompy, Mimeoplasm Death From the Grave
Heh, let's see, there was basically a finished legacy MUD deck, with a set of City of Traitors, Metalworkers, and Opals, an entire Esper Dragons standard deck, a good chunk of things from a Modern R/U delver deck, various legacy odds and ends, some non-blue foil khans fetches, a whole lot of $10-$20 cards from standard and modern, 2 Crucible of Worlds, a 3 Tops......just a ton of stuff. The wastelands, Bazaar, and snaps/lilis were the most painful things, I still have a nearly foiled out TES deck for Legacy, and I just don't care that much about Standard right now. Modern is a nice format and all, but every time I'd think about getting pieces for a new deck, I ended up getting legacy staples and things instead because that's where my heart lies with the game.
The Lotus is a beautiful piece, the front is nearly perfect, except for what appears to be a very small crease that's only visible on the front, and only when tilted at the light just right, like it was from a light fingernail press or something. You can't even see it in the photo no matter how hard you zoom. The backside has one very small spot of whitening on one spot of one border and is otherwise as clean as the front. I would put it at EX+. I originally had doubted I would be able to pick up such a nice looking Lotus, but when I saw it at a vendor with a tag of only $3200 and realized how clean it was, I had to go for it, realizing I might never get an opportunity to own a Lotus this nice ever again at the rate it's been rising.
Oh, that's a really nice Top though Warrior; I love the winter alters when done right and yours sure looks well done!
Take a broom, you replace the handle and later you replace the brush, and you do that over and over again, do you still have the same broom? Well the same theory applies to this deck. At one point this was the first deck I built back in 05. Back then my goal was to use llanowar elves and fyndhorn elves to accelerate into that foil Thorn Elemental that came in the 7th edition starter deck. Later I used Wirewood Channelers to make massive Consume Spirits. Around Lorwyn I went with Elvish Champion/Imperious Perfect/Gaea's Anthem/Wilt-leaf liege. I've streamlined this deck quite a bit and it's a ton of fun to play.
English only, foil promo where possible. Modern border where possible.
Now to get the rest of the deck signed.

Hello everyone, this is my pet deck for Legacy, which is an Enchantress. I've played with it for so long and still have so much fun playing it. I don't really have any foils as I am just not a huge fan of those, and not really into any foreign cards either, and I don't like my stuff signed. But I'm really proud of it and I play it with pride.
And this is my playmat, I don't know if anyone will recognize or know the value of this thing.
Most people don't even know its valuable.

I'm also always looking for friendly players in League of Legends IGN Dread Return, doesn't have to be competitive, just be nice and friendly.
[S3 - Diamond, S4 - Diamond, S5 - Diamond, Current Season - Diamond] Primary role Support, Secondary MID Lane, Alternate Jungle.
Necropotence circa 1996. Still need to make a sideboard for it. I could have either made the deck with grimey played revised cards and thrown them in an Ice Age starter deck so it looked period and then played the deck without sleeves(which is what I did) or tracked down beautiful beta and antiquities copies of everything and played the deck in sleeves which I did not do.
Next to work on turbo stasis.

Personally, I'd go with judge foils in order to keep the deck uniform in its modern border. The prices are about the same so it comes down to preference, and my preference is a deck that matches as much as possible.
I haaaate when really expensive pimp cards aren't foil (I'm looking at you, book Jace). Again, for the purpose of uniformity, I would probably pass by Gurus for full art basics.

I'll also chime in on the foil/GURU lands. It's a personal preference and I found I prefer GURU's. While it might sound that the non-foil nature would detract from the coolness of the deck, they are much easier to search with fetches and the gold leaf stamp looks really cool, making them special enough to keep the deck feeling cohesive. But I also love playing with Traditional chinese Portal alternate art lands. Most of them are pretty stunning and I rarely find people knowing where those are actually from. (and I don't play with the rare arts, just the common ones, as I prefer to keep mine minty. )
I haven't had a chance to take any cool pictures, but I'm getting closer to having MM15 foiled out to match the MMa and Conspiracy sets I did earlier. If they just reprint Tarmogoyf two more times in MMxx sets, maybe I'll have a playset of foils.
There's four of draft sets of TSP-block, some extra russian and Spanish TSP, Portal 1 and 2 boosters (One with 4,5 euro price tag), the Dark, some Legends, Italian FWB and german FBB packs, english Revised, Boxes of 4th, Coldsnap, Alliances, 2 Future Sight boxes and just out of picture four draft sets of IPA-block in asian languages. Not pictured are Ravnica-block (original) boxes (english and russian), Alara all-foil draft set, Both Modern Master boxes (5 MMa, 2 MM15), Innistrad boxes (5), Sealed Portal 1 starter box (with 1 booster in each pack), Lot of starter decks and few other that I'm forgetting now.
On loose booster side I have uploaded few other nice ones last year, including Arabian Nights and german limited edition starter. I don't really collect these, as I'm buying mostly draft sets, but I have been saving some old judge comp packets (Urza's packs, Weatherlight) and purchased few interesting boosters and starters over the years.
And as we were talking about GURUs:
I have since sold some away, but decided to keep enough for any 60 card manabase, including mono red with all basic lands.
After I get enough of furniture and cards back to their proper places I'll snap a few more pictures, as I did found some hidden treasures (and some just interesting ones too, which I knew I had but hadn't dug out in a while). As a teaser, there are old fat pack bulk boxes with fishy eBay auction type labels (Alpha, beta, Legends, Aq/Dk,) but in this case they are correctly labeled. I even had two fat pack boxes with random nm Legends cards, when I only thought I had one... And yes, I bought all-alpha bulk around nine years back, enough that I could build an all-alpha slight-deck for my little brothers bachelor party, which ended beating some pretty competitive newer decks. (Well, I cheated a bit, Chaos Orb was just Unlimited.) Turns out that both Orcish Artillery and Oriflamme are incredibly good when you get the 'alpha discount' on their casting cost and Gauntlet of Might is pretty sweet curve topper in a decently built slight deck.
Not the most pimp thing ever, but pretty special to me.
Top row: Conspiracy foil, 10th foil, Invasion foil
Middle: Invasion, 10th (my first rare), Conspiracy
Bottom: 10th game day promo, Chinese Invasion, 10th game day promo
The Reya in the center was my first rare ever, so I decided to acquire all of the printings in foil and non-foil. Finally picked up the most expensive, the Invasion foil, about a month ago, and after a LOT of people accidentally sent me promos (six times!) I finally got a 10th Edition pack foil on Puca.

Sadly this is the first box like this that they made to my knowledge. I would have liked something a little older. As for the Ernhamgeddon, you need more manarocks, as any opponent who knows your decklist will target the Elves, whenever they are weak to Geddon. Usually Ernhamgeddon preyed on the weaker decks and Outpost-decks, and later on also did well against pros-bloom, due to up to seven Disenchants and Emerald Charms. If you added Mirage-block in to the mix, the deck gained a lot of useful tools.
Also the deck is weak to black pump knights, so few Serrated Arrows should be somewhere in the 75 cards, or even Aelopile, which was used before Arrows. As a tip to players it's often correct to only have one Forest out if ever possible and save your Strip Mines. This will force your opponent not to attack with a creature Ernham has given Forestwalk and allows you to keep the Forest in play for 'free'.
Other decks, which should merit inclusion in addition to Kjeldoran Outpost/millstone-control is the RG Orcish Lumberjacks Ernham Djinn/Juggernaut/burn. As for metagame decks, Glacial Crevasses-Millstone -decks (the original turbofog) were really strong against creature decks and pretty fun to play.
