I ordered the Island and Forest and they came in the other day. I've yet to unroll them, though.
I'd like to get them framed. I've found that 23.39" x 33.11" is an awkward size to find a frame for. It's slightly too big for 23 x 33 and, of course, anything bigger is too big. I don't trust myself to cut it down slightly to fit 23 x 33, so custom framing seems to be the only option...
If anybody has a link to relatively inexpensive frames that could fit these without alteration, I'd appreciate it!
I have used americanframe for a few things around the house. My mother actually recommended them to me after she had a few frames made by them. If you have a joann fabric by your house, they also do framing.
I still think mine look better, even if they are smaller. They're all signed too, but the art is signed in pencil and the cards are signed in black sharpie. John has this thing about disliking signing in silver sharpie.
Smaller? These come in different size options or are you talking about smaller framed?
The images I have are from John directly, and are his larger prints off his website. When I considered getting this done, he started personally selling the A1 prints him self for about the same price I paid for the ones I intended to buy. I was under the impression that they where canvas but it appears now that they weren't.
At the time, I decided not to buy them due to their size. I can't hang images that large in my home (tiny apartment).
I personally feel they are way too expensive for what they are. I like other magic art much more, and I really dislike the unhinged lands. Unglued were awesome.
For those interested in the frame they do not have it listed on their website but it's a Studio Decor 24 in x 36 in frame with an 18 in x 24 in matting. I just took out the matting that came with it and replace it with the matting from Amazon. There is a picture of a bridge across water during a sunset in the frame. You can call the store and give the employee the description and he should be able to find it.
They were $30 a piece, but I was able to get them during the "50% off all frames" sale and I was able to use an additional "20% off your entire purchase" coupon which I printed on their website. Micheals always has some kind of sale going on with their frames; usually a buy one get one sale, but I would wait for the 50% sale otherwise you'll end up with an extra frame. Also just be warned the edges of the frame tend to scratch easily. A few of the frames were already scratched on the shelves and I did have to go to two locations to get all 5 of my frames.
Also don't forget to buy some framing tape. Without tape your going to have to unroll and flatten the pictures before you add them to your frame. Don't use standard tape because the acid will fade the back on the lithograph.
As far as the picture quality I'm very satisfied. At first they do look like posters, but when you compare to a standard poster the quality is very apparent. The paper is a nice thick paper which resits fading far better than any cheap poster paper. So if your interested in these lithographs, buy with confidence. They look fantastic on any wall!
I would really like to get my hands on a set of these lithographs especially the forest and mountain. I love the black bordering in the frame, it really sets them off nicely.
I actually bought some prints off his website and had them professionally framed back in the earlier parts of this year and this what they turned out like:
(excuse crappy pics, my camera is very old and reflections are hard to deal with...)
The only thing I regret is that John did his signature in pencil which while it doesn't really matter (I got these done purely for aesthetics on my wall) it would have been nice to have it done in a permanent marker. The forest was actually 5th one I got as a bonus and tbh it looks the best compared to the others.
I just got a few of these, including Zendikar, signed from Avon. I'm looking to get the frames from Michael's like a few of you have mentioned. Question: is the matting required to be purchased as well, because the dimensions of the print wont cover 24x36? Could anyone explain how that part of it works please?

I've finally got all my set of 5 framed and matted and they look fantastic. I was able to find an excellent cheap $13 (after coupon) frame at Michael's which looks exactly like the frames in this photo. For the matting I used the link from misterorange: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049O4WIE/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=A2COXGHER2MRD
Note: the matting has a slight white bevel.
