We have actually. As long as we don't claim Magic: The Gathering to be our creation or sell the video... we have free use. It the same for every other video ever. Its the same with Corridor Digital and their videos about video games.
Why do all of these decks have 25-26 lands? Seems excessive, especially in the case of red aggro decks. Since you can stack the decks for dramatic purposes anyway, wouldn't it be more interesting to put in more spells and not have every single deck feel so midrange-y?
Also it would be interesting if you could post a list of the characters and signature cards.
We looked into it and found that with 25 lands... the decks were pretty even. It also prevented a lot of stupid land shenanigans and emphasized smart plays instead of the best card wins.

Tezzeret: And now I cast Time Walk! With the extra turn this card grants, I shall send you back to the aether! And with you tapped out, there is nothing you can do about it!
Chandra: He has a Time Walk in his deck!?!?!?
Garruk: What's a Time Walk?
Chandra: It is one of the legendary Power 9, a card so powerful they had to be sealed away by the Reservant List, a magical contract that would lock their power away from all but the most powerful of Planeswalkers.
Jace: Not so fast Tezzeret! By exiling one blue card from my hand and paying 1 life, I cast Force of Will to counter your Time Walk!
Tezzeret: But that's impossible! Bolas said nothing can stop the Power 9! Bwaaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!
I would have to be on drugs to make that show engaging in any way, but I would definitely watch it, because it would be the worst thing ever. But in a good way.
-----
You need to have a character who isn't a bad guy, but isn't one of the good guys, and he doesn't talk much. He's the guy the main character looks up to, the better then everyone else character, the one who caught them all and was the very best like no one ever was.
His deck needs to have:
Force of will
Brainstorm
Ponder
Preordain
Snapcaster Mage
Morphling
Shadowmage Infiltraitor
Upheavel
Psychatog
Think Twice
Ancestral Recall (or visions, recall is better though)
Duress
Inquisition of Kozilek
Chainer's Edict
Diabolical Edict
Sinkhole
Delver of Secrets
Dark Confidant
Smallpox
Pox
Hymn to Tourach
Vendilion clique
Innocent Blood
Thoughtseize
Extirpate
Nether spirit
Tombstalker
Grave titan
Bitterblossom
Counterspell
Mana leak
Syncopate
Dark Ritual
Doom Blade
Go For The Throat
Jace, The Mindsculptor is his signature card
Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
Darkslick Shores
Polluted delta
Underground sea
Watery grave
Creeping tar pit
Dolor Aquaduct
Shimering Grotto
Underground River
River of Tears
Sunken Ruins
Bosiju, who shelters all
7 swamp
5 island
It's a combo deck: hold til 9 mana, upheaval>psychatog, GG's thx barn. He has to say that, too. GG's Thx Barn.
tibalt deck would be nice...
i'll just wain march 15th to try the rakdos deck to see if tibalt is BR
this is just a reccomendation, but i would make them EDH decks and have the signature cards be the general.
still good idea to make them 60 singleton
i feel it would be a good idea if they didn't just face planeswalkers, but signature characters like lim-dûl, obezidat, niv mizzet, ob nixilis.
also make them have 2 headed giant games, i used to watch anime on my free time, and i particularly liked the tag team duels for yugioh.
have like(for example) niv mizzet and rakdos(because they both want to wreck everything), vs isperia and razzia(both want order). that could be something.
these are just examples, but they can also be used for planeswalkers, like nissa and sorin(because they decide to team up to save their home plane), vs ulamog(black) and emrakul(green)(both fellow eldrazi).
you can even have four planeswalkers face each other in tag team, jace and tezz vs bolas and an ally of bolas.
have the main character lose some battles, it can make it entertaining(and challenging) for the main character to go back up.

We tried the whole edh general thing, but it ended up creating whole decks revolving around that one card rather than the deck itself.
The planeswalker cards were meant to seperate the important characters from just plain old magic players. Having a planeswalker didn't mean you could lose, but meant you had a card that made you special. We made planeswalker cards the rarest of the rare cards and almost impossible to get.
All the planeswalkers have their characters and believe me... its insane the amount of background these guys have beyond just their planeswalkers personality in the lore.
In terms of your two headed giant idea... we actually have one episode in planning that will utilize this as a teaching method for the main character.
All the formats have been kept in mind and we do plan on trying to put in each one... including commander, vanguard, two-headed giant, horde, and archenemy.
Tezzeret: And now I cast Time Walk! With the extra turn this card grants, I shall send you back to the aether! And with you tapped out, there is nothing you can do about it!

One of the decks should be dragon-themed with the signature card being Kokusho. Maybe it could be Nicol Bolas's deck? He would make a great main villain, especialy if his character was developed more than Wizards of the coast has done. If you do these things, I shall be your TV show's number one fan and watch it every day!
I'm beginning to question whether or not you have some kind of existential link to those two cards...I'm going to get a Kokusho of mine and cut a corner to see if you come back with a missing arm.
I'll take a try at the green zoo Garruk type deck. You can tweak it a bit if you like. I just picked out a bunch of cards I like that played well together.
Main Interactions:
Garruk Wildspeaker or Sword of Feast and Famine + Winter Orb
Garruk and Heart of Yavimaya (or the other nonbasic lands)
Rogue Elephant + Harvest Wurm
Wild Mongrel + Basking Rootwall or Arrogant Wurm
Landwalk Dudes + the Swords

We like this deck, but we feel that some cards are unecessary... we might keep the sword of feast of feminine and Gaea's cradle for flavor, but cards like winter orb and gaea's anthem will be changed. The combos are there, but you added cards like thragtusk and strangleroot geist which don't exist in the show yet. I would give the deck another look at and remember... not all good green cards are rare.
As for thrun being garruk's signature card... we decided recently that Kamahl, Fist of Krosa would be his card. Sorry.
Edit: Oh right, ****ing Innistrad. Really lame restriction considering we're already in Return to Ravnica and by the time your show gets the green light to start airing a first season we're going to be heading into a Standard where Innistrad is cycling out in the first place. So having Innistrad be some big important event is going to look really silly.
I guess you can take out Gravecrawler, Highborn Ghoul, Butcher Ghoul & Demonic Taskmaster for Undead Warchief, Scathe Zombies, Walking Corpse and Warpath Ghoul?
Haunted Fengraf for one more Swamp.
Victim of Night, Moan of the Unhallowed & Army of the Damned for...Go For The Throat, Duress & Distress.
Mikaus The Unhallowed for...Lim-Dul The Necromancer

Is the show going to have getting mana screwed? Awesome episode to watch... someone drawing no lands for 8 turns.
It's a show, the cards that are drawn are written for dramatic effect... having a solid deck list instead of a changing deck will make it stale.
yugi did have a decklist and it went on sale when the pegasus saga finished, so did Joey's, Kaiba's, and Pegasus's.
lol it would be so funny to watch that happen, but it doesn't always attract attention though. imagine one getting mana screwed, and the other one mana flooded
the characters change their decklists after a saga to make it more interesting(yugi changes his decklist after the pegasus saga and makes it a more tempo type of deck, instead of his more aggro type deck). it can be via a loss(yugioh GX, when Jaden(judai in japanese) loses to aster and his deck changes to a neos deck, from tempo to control)
when the character changes sides, the deck changes(again, GX cuz it's a good example, Jaden is possessed by the supreme king, so his deck changes temporarily to an evil hero deck, which is more aggro style deck, johan(idk his name in english), who is possessed by Yubel, has a minor change, his crystal beasts turn into advanced crystal beasts, and he has an aditional decklist of dark control/ direct damage). of course, not all decklists change(bakura's deck is still a twilight deck after i don't know how many episodes).
and if you're trying out some sort of power 9 thing(a bit like zeXal, where they have to get all the number cards to get back Astral's memory), try also having super powerful creatures like Emrakul. have like Emrakul sealed, like in the storyline, because he's a power 9 that could destroy the world. but once he gets out, you have to defeat him. have Sorin and Nissa tag team against Ulamog and Emrakul, and once they defeat both, Emrakul and Ulamog turn into a card, as a sign that they have been captured/ acknowledged that they have been surpassed.
Oh please tell me you'll have a throwaway character who heavily uses the Zendikar trap cards!
Since you're already ragging on Yugi-oh, it's to perfect to have him always yell "you've activated my trap card!" whenever he plays one of them at trap cost.

Why do I like posting in lists:
1. It allows me to express multiple thoughts without a need to write an essay or make multiple posts. 2. I tend to have multiple thoughts at the same time. 3. Having the right first opinion is sometimes more glorious than having a grammatically correct second opinion. 4. It allows you as a reader to pick out the most erroneous point and counter-comment, allowing you the chance to express an opinion and look like a sensible person when I sound like a dummy.
