I apologize if I've posted this in the wrong forum. I'm trying to find somewhere to purchase (or, I suppose, trade for) a signed Norritt (from Ice Age). Over the past five or so years, I've sent multiple cards to the artist (via snail mail) to be signed, but he's never returned any of them.
So, any ideas on where I might purchase or trade for this card? Thanks.
Your best bet if he's currently doing artwork for MTG he may be making an appearance at a large tournament.
When you send him a card have you talked to him about it? Many artists have their own website with email contact to get in touch with them. I'd think about making sure he's ok with doing it before I just mailed cards to an artist. Also are you including a stamped self addressed envelope for him to use to send it back to you?
Try sending one more along with a self addressed and stamped envelope, that would take all difficulty out of mailing it back to you since the artist wouldnt need to get a stamp and find your address and copy it all down because you already did the hard part.
I've mailed several cards to Mike Raabe and he's always sent them back signed (no Norritts though :-/). He does travel throughout the year, so emailing him before you send more cards would be advisable.
One thing about the self-addressed stamped envelope: don't just leave it blank for them to fill out and affix the stamp. You want to make it easy on the artist, not remind him he's doing you a favor with no compensation.
I've always contacted him first (via e-mail and/or his Facebook page), and I've always sent a letter and a SASE (I'm a writer, so I know the importance of a self-addressed stamped envelope).
The trouble is, at this point, I've lost a number of cards and a bit of money on postage trying to get a card signed. I'm not sure that I want to gamble again. I just want to buy a signed card and be done with it. I've searched eBay and other online locations for months, and I've never seen a signed Norritt for sale.

I hate to be the guy who says it, but why do you want a signature from a guy who ignored his fan in such a way? After no contact, I'm assuming there, and none of them come back, I'd curse the man for bad PR.
If you look up "Norritt" on www.magiccardmarket.eu and set the "Signed" field to "Yes" and hit "Filter", it shows that there are 2 signed norritts currently for sale. They're both from an Italian seller named Palmetta. He's selling a signed english one for 3 euros, and also a signed Italian one for 3 euros. The site doesn't let you order from the US, so you'll either have to find a way to contact the seller to ask if he'll sell them to you, or you can find someone here from Europe to order it for you and then mail it to you after they get it (in exchange for also paying all the ship & handle fees, etc).
As for why I'd want a signed card from an artist who ostensibly ignores me, I just really like the art. It's also one of my favorite cards. I know it'll never be a power card, but it's the type of card that just begs to be exploited and broken.
I'm so close to just sending him another card. Of course, that's the classic definition of insanity: doing something over and over and expecting a different result.

@Krimson Viper: It's not about the artist. It's about the card.
