Can't stand the guys that have to put their stamp of "allowance" of everything... even land drops.
Land drops are a bit excessive, but depending on what you're actually running into, this is more often than not a means of passing priority. "yup" "ok" "sure" "you got it" and the like when someone casts a spell or activates an ability or takes any other action that their opponent can respond to are often ways of saying "I don't have any responses, it resolves."
If they're doing it to land drops too, or they're doing something more extreme, then I'm not sure what to say. Just mention that they couldn't do anything about you playing the land anyway, if you want to poke at them a bit.
The kind who wants to rage-scoop the second you topdeck some answer that wrecks their carefully-crafted board position/dominating combo they put together.
How unfortunate you seem to only enjoy playing games where you're winning by a mile..how old did you say you were again?
I know a player, who's also a judge, who's arrogant and cheats. People barely call him out on cheating 'cause he throws a hissy fit along with "correcting" his play. I remember he was trying to do something illegal, I think it was this one time he used +1 on Jace then after a few tapping-untapping of lands, tried to brainstorm with Jace. A friend of mine called it out and he went something along the lines of:"Are you that desperate to win? Fine, you can have the win. It's just FNM." Continues to complain about it the rest of the night.
I have a friend who doesn't bother putting money into his deck and just makes it out of cards he already has. And then complains about losing.
Then again, most of my Vampire deck is cards I've gotten from people or from sealed and a few .25 commons and it wins against his mono green ramp deck. Yet, he still complains.

Haha we have this guy too, but it's no big deal, it's more funny for us, because we tease him for it.
He hates losing, even casual games, and he's the type that will throw his deck when he loses etc, but he's actually a really nice/cool guy and we just giggle whenever he does it.
His attitude is like, everything that others play that might win the game is overpowered, except when he plays his skullclamp, survival of the fittest and bitterblossom against standard decks.
Now whenever we play anything we go like "ooh no, you played an island, oh god, that's too good, it should be banned, it will combo with too many cards" just to tease him. He gets the picture now:P
There are a few things that really tick me off about an opponent, here is a list:
Not understanding your atmosphere: The kitchen table isn't the place to come with a Tier 1 pro deck copy and destroy people all night, unless you specifically know others have/are willing to use a Tier 1 deck. If people wanted to play like that, they would be at FNM for a tourney. Notice how people stopped playing against you? That's because it isn't fun. Kitchen table is casual.
Interrupting games to make trade offers: Seriously, we are playing a game. Do you really need to interrupt us consistently to make a bunch of bs offers the person is likely not going to accept anyways?
The rager: Any opponent that gets far too into a loss/win on a casual game. I have had players throw their deck at 10 year old kids in a casual environment.
Casual play on modo: Playing tournament quality decks in the casual just for fun room. Go to the tournament room to play that ****, especially pauper.
Yeah, a lot of people lack some social intelligence, and the ability to read people/groups. Some guy wants to play his sneak attack, emrakul turn 2 deck in our casual group and we simply say that if he wants to join us he will choose another deck.
Most situations can be solved simply with communication though.
Just explain what you expect. If someone runs off during games, call them out on it. Same if people play unfun decks.
If you explain why they won't be allowed to play with you unless they stop making stupid decks, they will get the picture eventually.
Or something I've been thinking about doing.
Just proxy up some crazy overpowered win turn 0,5 deck and bring it out whenever they bring out their stupid deck. I'm sure they'll learn quick;)
1.) People who smell. Going to pre/release is almost a guarantee that someone will smell. Hell, going to a LGS even when no event is going on someone usually smells. About half the time I stop in with someone that doesn't play any card/board games, that's what they mention as soon as we leave. Although, it could be just Baltimore has smelly people.
2.) People who hand shuffle. I understand the principle behind it. But, for some reason, people who hand shuffle take mind numbingly long turns. They stare...hand shuffle....stare....hand shuffle...tap land...untap land....hand shuffle...
3.) People who always forget to tell everyone that their turn has ended. If, "Oh yeah, go, I've been done." wasn't such a common answer I would probably never ask if they're finished.
Although, on that note, I have a habit of getting grumpy after losing a nearly complete idle game via mana lock/mana screw. I try to curtail it, but sometimes I don't notice until it's already too late and I reflect on the night. I feeling of never actually have the opportunity to play or have a chance grinds at me sometimes.
T H I S! It happens almost every time I play magic. I will be sitting there assuming that they have a play or are thinking about one for a minute or two not saying anything cause I hate when people bother me to end my turn when I have plays. Then I will ask if they are done their turn after the long awkward silence and they are like "oh...yea...I thought you knew". Its even worse when people tap out in formats where there are no commonly played 0 casting cards and ASSUME that you KNOW they ended there turn without saying it. Its like I don't know if you don't have some sneaky triggers or free cards to cast or something. Just let me know that you are ending your turn bro, seriously!
Also people who forget to pause at the combat step when they have seen me play things that tap creatures multiple times and that I have the mana open to cast it. To avoid confusion, if I see people playing that stuff, I will always pause and ask "declare attackers?" if they have the ability to cast something to tap em down. They just turn everything sideways, I end up saying I tap this dude during declare attackers then they have to un-turn some other dudes sideways and re-think combat etc. If you would have waited, we would have only had to do this once.
I saw some other people complain about people "ok-ing" cards that they play but I do this because it helps maintain a clear gamestate. If I have any kind of responses, I would rather ok triggers, ETB, spells resolving etc. then have someone just play something and have to go back and explain what I do before a trigger etc happens/resolves. It just saves time and a lot of potential confusion. Trying to explain to someone what you do before something actually resolves can be really confusing for both parties because one party is under the assumption that it already resolved and the other party is forced to explain an interaction before whatever crazy trigger train they were about to go on.
Having said that, you should not be "ok-ing" anything in casual games as its just too much. Also you cannot "ok" land drops because you cant actually respond to a land drop lol.

Yep, I have been trained to say "You done?" more often than not. I know it's irritating sometimes when people are "thinking" but about 88.2% of the time I get a "yep."
I have a friend in my playgroup that drives me up the wall. He's probably one of my best friends, but out of the six or so of us, he's the one who just can't seem to relax. He flips out if he isn't winning and he is a sore winner. I mean, he is just the worst to have win against. He is also flippant about your cards. He will get excited and amped up about a purchase or draw he made, tell you about it, but if you do the same back? He dismisses the card as either garbage or uninteresting.
The worst trait about him though? His staunch refusal to play games to the completion when he is losing. If he is winning, he will play all the way to the end, but if he even gets a whiff of a loss, he immediately concedes and wants to start over. I get that in some situations you are hopelessly going to lose, but part of the fun for me is seeing the crazy things that people pull off in their decks, and I have no problem losing, and am certainly not going to concede. That ruins the fun.

I avoid this all together and frequently ask opponents if they are finished if there is any idle time. Cordially of course.
I can't even count how many times people said "Yeah" and let me untap, but forgot to attack or play a spell.
There's a guy at my FNM who seems to think lifegain is good everywhere all the time, no matter the card. Without fail every round of every tournament I can walk by his game and see him at 21+ life, at the beginning of the round. He's almost always single-handedly the reason the rounds go to time everytime, he'll still play Angel's Mercy in the extra turns as well, to include the 5th turn.
I'm usually one of the fastest players at my shop, with my rounds ending in about 15 min. I played against him once, and was lucky to finish in 50. He looked at the clock after we were done, he was so happy to see some time he could spend between rounds.
I know FNM is casual, but don't just draft bad, always, without learning from several tournament results.
Not a type of player per se, but what is with using "saygo" to end a turn? You're saying "go," the "say" is redundant. What's wrong with a nice "Your turn"? I don't think people even consider what they're saying most of the time. It's just a catchphrase they've picked up and repeated, nearly independant of its component words. Also, for some reason, "prize support" bugs me. Not the concept, the phrase. People just use it in place of "prizes." Basically, any case of spitting out a rote phrase in place of a less stupid one bothers me immensely.
Also, more on-topic, players who complain or insult you any time you gain life. I can understand irritation at full-on stallgain, but if I gain ten or fewer points with a white deck as a buffer and you feel the need to be snide, you're officially a *****.
I've actually never heard anyone say "saygo." That is a bit odd!
I always announce everything I'm doing to "encourage" others to do the same thing (as far as end of turn stuff)... doesn't always work, but at least I'm being interactive to some respect.
I am a competitive person. No, I don't think every game is like playing on a pro tour or something of that nature. I do know, some people think I am some sort of 'elitist' when I play at times because I do enjoy a good match and if I feel the person is highly skilled I get enjoyment out of trying to outplay them.
I do understand there is a time and a place for everything, but I just wanted to stand up for some of the 'hate' against these kinds of players. If they are anything like me, it is a sign of respect that they present such focus and determination.

Which is nowhere near as aggravating as... when they bury their Birds/Elves/etc in their lands separate from their other creatures.
This. Especially in formats where edict effects are prevalent. They put their Bird in the graveyard after having leaned over it for like 5 minutes. One time this happened to me and I felt so much like calling a judge, but he hadn't broken any rules besides having a horrendous board layout. It was my own fault for not noticing the creature.
I got a new one, or at least a reiteration of one I mentioned earlier: the guy who can't shut the hell up about what he has in his hand and how, or how not, it's going to "make our lives miserable". This ties into any player who is arrogant while playing.
Listen champ, we know you have the game on lock now. We've known it the entire time since you dropped Bruna with Diplomatic Immunity. Make you move, kill us, off and lets go to game two... but, no, you have to make a big stink about what you're about to play (again), then play Sovereigns of Lost Alara, and then going on about how it's pro. (While it is a solid play... I already know it's a solid play... stop reminding us.)
Do whatever... just shut the crap up.
Conversely, I love playing with talkative people who are enjoyable. Too little talking is boring.
My biggest annoyance is players that say, "I would have won, if only I could have _____." Fill in the blank with anything you like. Doesn't matter because you still lost.
This happened to me at a prerelease. Opponent said "I would have won, if only I could have gotten through." I was being attacked every turn, but I was pumping out tokens to chump block, had 4 Fogs and a Safe Passage, and then I got to pop Garruk's ultimate for 6 6/6 Wurms. So they could have won, if only I hadn't played all the cards I played.

This is what gets to me. People who try to do this On purpose. I'm a fairly trusting and forgetful Person at times, so I can honestly say this trick has worked on me more times than I would care to admit. I don't care if they're better than me or they've discovered some loophole in the rules to extort, but tricking someone into forgetting part of their turn is just underhanded and rude.
That, and you know what they say. If Wizards started shipping $100 bills in boosters tomorrow, people would scream and cry and whine that they were folded the wrong way.
My biggest annoyance is players that say, "I would have won, if only I could have _____." Fill in the blank with anything you like. Doesn't matter because you still lost.
With this one: Honestly, it depends - if they take on an attitude, then yes, but if they merely are speculating for fun, who cares if they still lost, it is still fun to see what could have happened. The attitude is more determianant than the mere act of speculating *in of itself* ever will be.
The first type are the players who get mad when you're playing the best deck, like it's horrible for having a certain type of taste in decks.
Secondly, the type who acts tough the whole match and when you start to beat their ass they get quiet and start to try and cheat. I had a guy get mad cause he was losing, really nice to me at first. He started to not keep track of his life and was like you need to remind me- No, I don't, you you there was trample damage, stop trying to cheat your way out of the match just because you can't win.
And finally, the worst type of person is the one who ask if you're "done yet". Clearly I'm not done if I've not passed the turn back or even attacked, shut up and have some respect.
