Ultra Pro did indeed shrink the size of their "regular size" sleeves for games with cards the size of Magic cards. They claim that it is so you no longer need to double sleeve to protect them, but in reality it is to cut their costs of making the sleeves (less plastic means less oil needed to produce said plastic).
Okay, but as I said, I'm using KMC sleeves, not Ultra Pros.
I sleeve mine so that the opening of the Perfect Fit is at the bottom of the card. It does make it a little more difficult to push the air out, but once you get the air out, it tends to not puff up after that. The only reason I say this is because I do know a few people who sleeve the Perfect Fit the opposite way so that the opening is at the top of the card, which would let air in alot more easily. I don't quite see the point in sleeving that way, but whatever.
I too swear by the Perfect Fits except for my EDH decks. I can one-handed palm a basketball, but a double-sleeved EDH deck is way too bulky to try and shuffle and use. All my 60 card decks are double sleeved though. The airy-ness and bulky-ness will get better with time and, as our local judge said so precisely, "Damn things are like Pringles. Once you pop, you just can't stop."
How do accomplish doing that? I bought some recently, but I can only manage to go in there so far before the perfect fit sleeve loses grip of the card and refuses to go further down into the sleeve.

You are using a perfect fit with another KMC sleeve for the outside? I commented about Ultra Pro sleeves because everyone I know does perfect fit for the inside with Ultra Pro on the outside. Though not anymore because the perfect fit sleeved cards almost don't fit into them now.

Well, I'm trying to anyway. I don't use Ultra Pro sleeves because I find they're more fragile.

Try Dragonshields maybe? I hated them before, but they seem to be different (and better in my opinion) now. And I think you can double sleeve them if you are careful.
There's a tecnique to doing it, and once you get the hang of it, it's fairly easy. Slide the card in as far as it will go, when it stops, slide your index finger in between the sleeve and the perfect fit card and put your thumb on the outside of the outer sleeve, and work the card the rest of the way in. The deck does turn out really thick at first, but after playing with it and occasional compressing (put it in a tigt fittting deck box), it stops being problematic fairly quickly and you too shall swear by them.

If the sleeve isn't going in all the way its getting caught on the outer sleeve. The easiest way to typically solve this is to brace the card with a flat surface like a table then try to slide the normal sleeve over the card. It should keep the kmc sleeve from sliding off.
I swear by these btw, it prevents foils from scuffing and keeps dirt off your cards. DS isn't worth it for everything but if you have that legacy deck or edh deck that easily commands 4 digits then I highly recommend it.
EASIEST way to double sleeve ever. Grab a useless land card. Take your KMC'ed perfect fit card and lay it on top of the land. Grab both, and slide it easily into the sleeve you want it to be in, then pull the land out. Having the land back reduces the plastic friction and the card will just slide like a normal MTG card.

This sounds insanely awesome. I would always have to "break in" my new KMC regular sleeves before the Perfect Fits would go in. Thanks!
Wait up,... Did you just say TRIPLE-sleeved?! Now that's something I've never seen or even heard of. Seems slightly excessive in my opinion (unless perhaps for power cards). What brand of sleeves is larger than perfect fits but still fits inside regular sleeves?...or are you using oversized vanguard sleeves? And what would be the advantage of a third layer if double-sleeving already leaves the cards with little to no wiggle room and prevents dirt from getting inside? I can only imagine that your decks are at least twice the height of decks with only a single layer of sleeves, no?
If Im not mistaken, KMC actually makes the outer "third" sleeve. A japanese guy who used to play at our store had his EDH deck triple-sleeved. The outer sleeves were these anime-themed, super sturdy and thick plastic. They looked nice, but the added translucent layer actually kinda made the face of the card tough to see clearly. Not to mention that when we were playing EHD his deck stacked up to be about 1 foot tall!
So, Double Sleeves is okay in tournament play? I own some KMC Perfect Fits, but I never used them because some people at my local store were under the impression that it somehow isn't cool to double sleeve in sanctioned play.

You just need to DS the entire deck. It's perfectly fine.
I can recommend ya the KMC ones, they're almost perfect in every way. Here in CH they're more expensive as Ultra Pro ones. But the Ultra Pro sleeves have some difference in lenght and every 10.th I try to sleeve cut's the edge... Cheaper for that reason maybe

KMC > Ultra Pro
I agree here, as I prefer the KMCs. However, at double the cost of Ultrapros, the choice is up to you OP. A lot of my friends at the LGS use ultra pros and they are perfectly fine. I still go with KMC's cause I think they are more elegant, but both are good.
They are quite strong, but it seems like a lot of dirt would get in them. Clear sleeves aren't tournament legal too.
The only reason you wouldn't be allowed to use clear sleeves is if you're running DFCs without checklist cards. If you're using checklists or you don't have any DFCs, there's no problem with clear sleeves.
Of course, there's the possibility that some of your cards might be marked, but the same problem exists for an unsleeved deck, or marked sleeves in a deck with opaque sleeves, so that's not really an argument.
So long as every card is double sleeved, its absolutely fine (the possible exception being a battle of wits deck, which may end up too tall to stay up).
Okay, but as I said, I'm using KMC sleeves, not Ultra Pros.

This is exactly the same problem I have.
