GP Austin is this weekend and I plan to play it (sealed). Never been at a formal event outside of FNM's. Just want to make sure I don't break any obvious rules.
Can I bring my own land or do they not allow you to bring in any cards to the tables?
Can I look at my phone which has some notes on it when putting the deck together?
Do we have to create a deck list ourselves or is that done already for us?
I assume for game 1 of all the matches we need to use the same starting deck, but for game 2/3 we can sideboard as many of our cards as we want.
1. Basic land is provided by the Tournament Organizer. You can however bring your own if you wish
2. Judges generally dislike any use of electronics so Id avoid it if possible
3. Yes, you may side in as many cards as you want games 2 and 3
Your opponent is obsessive-compulsive, and cannot resist cleaning up the messy room. The room is so large and messy that by the time they're done, they're exhausted and are now down by 2 life. Then you pay 5 mana to mess the room up again.

Basic lands should be provided by the TO though it wouldn't hurt to bring extras

Nope you are not allowed to refere to any notes that you have made before the deck registration period starts. Like wise during a game you are not allowed to refer to any notes created before that match started and if you are using paper you must show that the paper is blank before the match starts

Depending on how the TO has set the tournament up you will get a pre registered cardpool or a set of unopened boosters that you will have to open and register the contents of. If it is the latter it is likely that you will hand the pool in and get a random pool out so if you open a Garruk relentless you probably won't get it back.
In either case you will have to construct a deck from the cards you have been given. You can add in any basic land you wish which as above should be provided.

Thanks!
Correct your sealed deck must be returned to its registered condition at the start of each match. For matches 2 and 3 you may freely sideboard between your registered main deck and any cards left in your pool.
As you can probably tell the answers SpikeMcSpikerson has given are not serious and if you follow most of them out you will likely accumulate game/match losses or even get your self disqualified with some of them.
AS you are stepping out into the wider world I suggest you take a look at the MTG Tournament rules found here and if you think anything is a little off, unsure of something call a judge over. It is what they are there for and if your opponent is being honest and above board they shouldn't have any issues as a time extension should be given if the query takes a long time to process.
