I'm debating which of these binders I want to use. I own the ultra Peo premium binder and I also own a monster binder. The monster binder was left in a hot car one day, so I'm not sure if the pages and whatever are still good. It's one of the newer solid color ones, so maybe it will be fine. But I'm wondering what everyone's Opinon is on the two and maybe what's better to use?
From what I hear they are identical, and the reason why is because Monster Binders were imported and didn't have a US patent. Could be wrong, but when the Ultra Pros came out the local shop I was in the day they got them seemed to think this was the case.
They are identical as far as I and others can tell. Plus, from what Ive found, the ultra-pro ones are cheaper cost wise(probably depends on what some places charge though.)
The Monster binders are just a little bit better quality, cards are less likely to slip around in the slots and the felt is a little more plush, but it's not $10 better. I'd vote Ultra Pro.

Hmm, but I technically already own the monster binder. I was just afraid that leaving it in the hot car for a few hour totally messed it up or not?
I have a monster binder, and for the first month it was awesome but about 2-3 months in my bagpack (with only a couple deckboxes) and its falling apart. Its cover and some pages are starting to tear and peel, so its not worth your money. I am just glad I only used store credit to buy it. Try the leather covered ultra pro. A couple of my buddies have it and like it much more then these dumb monster binders.
Well, the black monster binder I had was in a hot car for about a hour or so, so I'm not sure if the pages kinda melted or whatever. Is that long enough to really effect it?
Wait, wait, is this whole question based on whether or not your monster binder suffered heat damage in the car? There's really only one way to tell: go look at the binder. It's plastic (well, technically it's some kind of plastocenoflobberyjobby), it probably stands up pretty well to the heat levels typically associated with car interiors. I wouldn't go out and buy a whole new binder (especially an expensive one) unless the thing were literally disintegrating.

No, no, the question is what it is. I was asking which was better because I was curious. I just brought up the heat thing because I was curious about that also.
I bought one of each recently to compare. Had the issue where the Monster got a little hot in the car also. It got a little sticky but its ok. Not sure if the two I have are different but the Ultra Pro Premium I have is nothing like the Monster. The pages don't stick together. I use sleeves on the cards in the Ultra Pro and it works great. I tried sleeves in the Monster and they get stuck to the plastic so I don't sleeve the cards in it. I'll be sticking to the padded Ultra Pro Prem for sure especially since its cheaper.
After reviewing the two products and going into incredible amounts of research, I finally looked at the 2 products that are hugely popular to collectors and TCG players. After looking thru the prices, the quality and material of the binders, I found the Ultra Pro Premium binder Is the choice to pick for any collector or TCG player. The Ultra Pro Premium binder offers so much to anyone who travels to leagues, or just people who enjoy collecting cards. The ultra pro premium binder has a strap that can be help around the front and back of the binder to keep the cards from falling, and just being a good way to hold the binder in place. Speaking of holding cards in place the Ultra pro premium binder has a grip on the back of the pocket to put your cards in, This offers a great way from avoiding your cards from falling out of place, and keep it in great order and very neat. Monster offers the same thing but after looking at the binder I noticed when putting in a card with a sleeve already placed on the card its hard for the card to fit in the pocket, making it a bad way for keeping your cards in PERFECT condition. Something the Ultra pro and monster binder offers Is rather then putting your cards at the top of pocket, the cards can be slide to the side of the pocket, making it impossible for your cards to slip out. Something bad I noticed about the Monster binders Is that the way the pages in the binder are placed, the pages tend to create a bump in the middle or the side of the page, that can create a bit of damage to your cards causing the card to making a bit of a bend on the 2 sides of the cards, depending on where the page is being pushed up. Ultra pro does not do that. I also looked into it and monster binders are buy far more expensive! And the Ultra Pro binder has more to offer. If your a collector, a TCG player, I most recommend this binder for anyone who wants to look after there cards, and wants to have a good time showcasing it to your freinds and family. Also when looking at both binders they are both PVC free so know worries there.
What you are referring to is the glass transition of the plastic in question. Assuming that the material is polyethylene, a common plastic material, you know that the glass transition is 75C. Therefore, assuming a 38C day, which is 100F, it gets to 54C, which is 130F. You are nowhere close to the glass transition, and the binder should be fine. Even if it wasn't, you could just replace the plastic sleeves that store the cards for $5.
