I'm trying to make a list of amazing Wizards in MTG so i can possible work on a Commander deck focused on Wizards. I usually go the route of dropping huge spells as fast as i can, but i'm getting bored with that, and my friends are getting annoyed at that so i'm looking to go mono-blue control for away. I know theirs a Wizard that cost 6, and has TAP: Draw three cards, but i can't remember the name of him.
The card you are thinking of is Arcanis, the Omnipotent. However, if you're looking to build a wizard tribal edh deck, your best bet on a general is Azami, Lady of Scrolls. She's basically a one-card combo with the rest of the deck.

If you run Azami or Arcanis, Mind Over Matter can let you draw your entire deck. Substitute Temple Bell for either of the wizards, and force your opponents to draw up their entire deck, too.

Anyways, thanks, appreciate all ideas.

Some other great wizards are:
Patron Wizard - Ridiculously good.
Stonybrook Banneret - Makes your stuff cheaper, always a plus.
Glen Elendra Archmage - Negate on a stick. Twice.
Sower of Temptation - Mind control that draws once a turn off Azami? Yes please.
Also, Diviner's Wand can create some awesome combo-kills by general damage and/or simple overrun from big/big wizards.
Here's a list of all the blue wizards in existence.
Some more highlights of the list are:
Graceful Adept
Hapless Researcher
Shapesharer (Technically a wizard, with a kickass ability as well)
Filigree Sages - Combos for infinite mana with Doubling Cube
Jace's Archivist - Windfall for the win! Always useful.
Laboratory Maniac - Lets you draw your deck and win even without a kill condition like infinite mana.
Magus of the Jar - Memory Jar. On a creature.
Martyr of Frost - Just another counterspell on a dude.
Sage of Epityr - Card selection is very good, especially in singleton.
Magus of the Future - Essentially an extra card in the deck, and combos with Cloud Key/Helm of Awakening and Sensei's Divining Top for infinite draw.
Snapcaster Mage - I cannot stress enough how good this card is. Recasting a spell is so ridiculously good, even if it's just a counterspell.
Trinket Mage - Fetches Sol Ring/Mana Vault/Top/Voltaic Key/Moxen
Vedalken Aethermage - Fetches a wizard for 3 mana. Also, it's useful if you fight slivers.
Vendilion Clique - Hand control in a color that isn't known for its targetted discard.
Willbender - Swerve as a morph.

Yeah but he is asking for good wizard cards. If you just put wizards into the type search http://magiccards.info/query?q=t%3A%22wizard%22&v=card&s=cname there are 456 cards to sift through, the majority of which I'm sure are crap.
That said, Venser Shaper Savant is a good wizard. And Ertai, Wizard Adept, while fragile is quite good, repeatable countering seems good. Ertai the Corrupted seems alright as well.
voidmage prodigy
shadowmage infiltrator
and dont forget riptide laboratory
..and of course charmeleon colossus
these are amazing in every format except edh:
dark confidant
spellstutter sprite
If you're dipping into white, don't forget Summon the School can give you extra wizards to tap to the already-mentioned Patron Wizard.
Amazing list of cards' this is going to help alot. Thanks.

1. Vendilion Clique.
2. Snapcaster Mage.
3. Mutavault.
4. Dark Confidant.
Maybe not as good but a bit more precice way of stretching the Supreme Inquisitor is Riptide Chronologist.
Vedalken Æthermage could be a good way to search.
Echo Mage could be a bomb depending on your local group.
Raven Guild Master is a personal favorite.
I think I may have to try a Wizard EDH now too, this is starting to look fun.
