This is somewhat inspired by the gay thread, but I think this one is a bit easier to determine. The most female players I have ever seen at my store was three. The recent pre-release (which had the largest turnout in years) had over seventy males and one female. I mainly ask because the very few games that I have played a female have been great fun. They seem to effortlessly manage being competitive and having fun and are usually more social.
I am kind of amazed at [...] the fact that somebody on this thread called Mind's Eye, Mirari's Wake, Decree of Pain, Desertion, AND Scroll Rack, all before they were officially spoiled. I will edit this post VERY shortly with the username of this user who deserves at least all of the cookies. Probably more cookies than that.
I am one of the females at my LGS. There are a few others who come here and there, so we are a rare breed, but we do exist. I try to make it fun when I play, because what's the point in playing if it isn't going to be fun?

I've met 2females in my magic career. One as deck building opposite me at the Shadowmoor pre-release when I was 9, the other I played against very recently at an FNM draft.
At school, out of the almost 60 people at the Innistrad release, two were women. One is there regularly, and apparently kicks ass on a pretty consistent basis.
The other I've never seen there before. She seemed kind of timid and shy. I played her in the first in the first round. The first game, I lost pretty quickly due to mana screw. While shuffling up for the second game, jokingly, I said something along the lines of, "ha, I'd say good first game, but that was a little one-sided, I guess. Anyway, hopefully this one will be a little more close." Afterwards, she started apologizing profusely to me. The whole time, I'm thinking, uh, it's fine. No big deal. It's just a game. It's whatever. I don't know, it was a little weird.

I have a buddy who shows up occasionally at my LGS who has a prettttty hot redhead gf, shes a bit nerdy/goofy but thats what makes her attractive. I played against her a few times at FNMs and felt particularly bad crushing her with a t3 Demon of Death's Gate while she was playing a R/G burn homebrew.
I gave her the sly eye.

I like to protect frightened things perhaps. I assembled them in the fortress of beefitude for safety.
We have 4 regular female players at the LGS. But, the strangest thing is the two young women that are really attracted to geeks and nerds who hang out at events, not to play the game, but to play some lonely fan boys. Being over 30, it is interesting to watch them flirt with nerds who obviously have little experience in this realm... unlike the girls themselves, who have turned seducing shy nerds into an art! I say play, because it seems like the guys get their hearts broken a lot, seeing the girls picking up on a new guy just a few days later.
At the LGS I go to there are about 12-18 girls that show up regularly. We had 14 females at the INN prerelease at midnight. Most are sig others of some guy there but there are about 6 that come with no one else.
Actually yes, we have quite a few VERY good females that play in the Twin Cities. In fact at prerelease I was playing at the "top 16" table (out of 75) and noticed that 5 of them were female. One did very well at a SCG invitational a couple of years ago even.
At the Innistrad pre-release there were 5 girls. One was my wife, one was a buddy's girlfriend and another was the wife of one of the guys who always top 8s everything. There was also some single girl and what I think might have been a girl.
I also have another buddy whose fiancee plays. So the events we come to we help the proportion a little.
I honestly have never seen a nice looking girl playing ccgs. I wouldn't call the monsters that occasionally appear at the card shops females
Uhhhh.... have you seen most of the guys that play?? (Or smelled them? From ten feet away? When you desperately tried not to???)
Anyways, I just play with a few friends at each other's houses, and I order cards online so I'm hardly ever at a LGS, and never to play. I don't even know where there is one around where I live now anyways. Before I moved though, I stopped in a LGS once to look at what singles they had and some smelly manbeard can up to me and started chatting me up about how he is actually a thousand years old arch-wizard whose family has been hunted by The Church for centuries. He told me (among many other things) about how his neighbor was mean to him, and so he put a curse on his neighbor who ended up losing his job and having his wife cheat because of the curse. Weeeeeeeeeeeeirdo!
So while I don't doubt that there are unattractive (perish the thought!) or weird girls playing magic at your LGS, that is certainly a two-way street buddy.

Where I am not disagreeing that in some bigger events there are some players that need to take issue to hygene, I guess I am lucky because the LGS I play at is pretty decnt about smells. Maybe its because we have a motherly figure behind the desk that will tell you, you stink if you do. Its kind of embarassing.

I can attest to that @_@ half the regulars at our shop have a terrible odor about them...and being a small shop, EVERYONE has to smell it.

There's a very attractive girl who plays at my LGS. Last event, she came in first. Two male jackasses behind me laughed as one of them said "I can't believe we were beaten by a girl!" I hope they enjoy being single.
I've met plenty of girls playing Magic, but I haven't met any who were both single and attractive. There are plenty who come with male counterparts, and there are plenty of single ones, but by and large I'm not interested in the latter and I can't be interested in the former.

Absolutely, I've run into more than a few of them who play awesome casual decks, tournament, or just come to hang out. From all ends of the attractiveness spectrum. Just like the guys who play there.

There is a 12 year old girl who plays every game we run (besides D&D but I'm pretty sure that is because of our age restriction lol)
Then a couple of girls who come once in a while.
And a few who I see at PTQs who I don't know if they are tag alongs or not.
I knew a girl like that at the LGS back home
