I was wondering where I could buy some +1/+1 counters and -1/-1 counters? I was able to get some actual mtg counters from ebay but they only had 1 of those.
The only place I can think of that had official +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters were some of the older Magic comic books. But since those came out about 15 years ago, I'd look at Ebay. If not there, maybe search internet stores like Troll and Toad or StarCity. They may have them under gaming accessories or something.
I'm pretty sure they used to distribute cardboard sheets with cuttable counters on them. if you look around the intertubes you're bound to run into them

They had a couple of sheets of counters inserted in an early issue of The Duelist. It had a bunch of +1/+1, -1/-1, +1/-1, and so on along with lots of Saproling and Homarid counters to use with Fallen Empires cards.
You're really best off just using dice. You can use different colored ones for +1, -1, etc.

Are those Magic comics actually worth anything?
I just remembered a local shop has a few, still sealed with various cardboard counters. Thought about getting them, if only for the poison counters, to use during Scars block events.
A lot people at my LGS including me use Chessex 6 sided dice. They have a good variety of styles. The packs of 36 are the best bet. http://www.chessex.com/
Another solution is glass beads and they can be bought in just about any color. I don't like pointing people away from an LGS but craft places like Michal's will often times have bulk rate on them since they are sold for filling glass vases and you need a lot of them for that.

I know a place that sells 100 counters for only a dollar!

The bank.
These are illegal for sanctioned play*, because Wizards is afraid someone might look at a table the wrong way and assume there is illegal gambling going on.
* Maybe not all sanctioned play, but I do remember watching a player on a SCG Open feature match being forced to remove coins from his Jace and the announcers giving this reason.

Colored dice can be bought very cheaply.

I bought these back when Pentavus was first in Standard, at Origins in Columbus. They're pretty sick:
