I'm planning on buying a commander deck, but still I can't quite find the best one. (I'm talking about the sealed Wizard of the Coast commander decks they released a while ago).
I would appreciate if you say which (in your opinion or in general) is best and why. Thanks.
What kind of play are you looking for?
The Devour for Power (Mimoplasm) deck is probably the most powerful deck right out of the box.
Counterpunch (Ghave) is also good if you're planning on tweaking, since it has a nice suite of utility cards.
Mirror Mastery (Riku) has the best premise, but many of the cards are subpar. If you want to power up the deck you'll have to make a lot of changes.
Heavenly Inferno has some great fatties and a very straightforward plan. But it is so linear that it can get boring after a while.
Political Puppets (Zedruu) ... stay away from unless you're a masochist.
Mirror mastery:
IMO, best deck out of the box. Riku is capable of shenanigans, and simple to learn. Animar in a creature deck is nigh unbeatable
Counterpunch:
Ghave can become degenerate really easily. Graveyard tricks take hate though, so be weary. Karador is average
Political puppets:
Ruhan fails. Zedruu dies in single player, however in multiplayer, he can become degenerate if he sticks. Put as many venser's journal like cards in here as possible. Proabbly the hardest deck to get any good with.
Devour for power:
Mimeoplasm is fun, though as with counterpunch, graveyard tricks take hate.
Damia is expensive, and takes hate, but if she sticks, the card advantage is amazing!
Heavenly inferno:
Tariel is bad. Kaalia is good, but only if you pimp the deck somewhat.
I guess OP wants it to be 'keyworded' like "dies" was. What word would you replace ETB with though?
When Aegis Angel is born?
When Huntmaster of the Fells arrives?
When Kitchen Sphinx lands?
When Faerie Imposter busts in?
When Dread Cacodemon pops in?
When Malfegor shows up?
It absolutely depends on what type of deck you like to play. I believe Devour for Power is the best as-is, and The Mimeoplasm is probably the most powerful general in a vacuum, but all of them have potential. Personally, I can't wait to build a Zedru deck.
Technically mimeoplasm is worst in a vacuum
However, all the generals save kaalia and damia have the potential to be degenerate. Kaalia and damia just ahve powerful effects to begin with.

I bought the Heavenly inferno deck on MTGO and after pimping it out by mostly taking out the red cards and replacing them with the likes of O-Ring, Unmake, Sword to plowshares, Iona, Grave Titan, Doom blade, GffT and especially baneslayer angel, I do believe its the best and most straightforward.
Again you do need to "pimp it out" but its probably the most powerful after all is said and done.
Kalia is just boss tbh.
Edit: Most of your creatures will be flying which is a pain to take care of so youre constantly dealing damage and its just an all around fast deck, which is probably why its most powerful.
