Best way to print cards

  • #1
I'm trying to proxy a bunch of cards for some EDH and testing (my playgroup proxies a lot). Does anyone have a suggestion for the best way to print out a bunch of cards, like a template that is correctly sized?

In the past, I copied images from the web into MS Word and printed, and then altered the size if the first print run wasn't correctly sized. This will take far too long so I was wondering if there was a convenient template or something that I can use, or maybe a website where I can just type in all the cards I need to print and it formats the pages correctly.

    Forcefield.

Click on any tagged card outside of the Rules Forum and there is a Proxy link. Just drag it into an image editor and print! They are sized correctly and pretty decent images too.

Indeed, I use this too. I suggest copying the image into a word document, and setting the document to landscape orientation, that way you get 8 per page rather than 6 if you print directly from the website.

Love being able to proxy for EDH, it's helped me a lot in figuring out and getting real versions of many cards I need, or otherwise figuring out that my card choices suck and I should be ashamed of myself! I even finally unproxied my EDH deck.

I find the easiest way is to use the card link proxy generator. Click on the Forcefield above (for example) and look below the image for the +1 +2 +3 +4. Click how many you need. Then you can go back, type your next card, then do the +X, then repeat. Then when you "view" you get all your proxies on one print. Print once. No resizing. No multiple prints. No image programs. Cut out. Slip into sleeves. Done.
