I am looking for powerhouse card's that use counters. I would rather the card did something based on how many counter's were on it, rather than 'once this card has 5...'. The type of counter doesn't matter. You don't need to add the other planeswalkers, I already know about them.
I wanted to stay away from your typical +1/+1 counters since I already run a deck using the Baren and +1 counters. I wanted something a little more fun, or un-fun. For example you could drop the Scepter, add one counter, and then take infinite turns. Or you could drop Sorin and control the rest of your op's turns, or jace the MS and remove their deck in 1 shot keeping Jace alive to do it again next turn when they only have 1 or 0 cards in hand. Obviously a hexmage would romp this deck, so once I have an idea on what card's I want to run I will have to put in some anti-hex. I am using 1 Cloud COver right now.
That's everything I can find that can really abuse counters. Long story short, I *highly* reccomend Gilder Bairn. He can be absolutely ridiculous with the right support.

Back in my day, Wrath of God didn't kill Black Knight and that's the way we liked it. We also had to pay mana for our 1/1s. Kids and your Memnites. Get off my lawn!
If you're making a deck full of creatures with +1/+1 counters, Cytoplast Root-Kin is pretty good. Plaxcaster Frogling might also be worth a look depending on what colors you're in.
Currently I am using:
Sorin Markov
Magistrate's Scepter
Spike Feeder
Spike Weaver
The only net decking I do involves the Home Depot
Gilder Bairn
Overgrowth
Earthcreaft

Chalice of the Void uses counters, although its usefulness largely depends on how competitive the meta is.

I think Garruk is the best walker for a doubling season deck. Is that what this is for?
Come to the blue side, we have cookies!
Squirrel Nest is also a fun combo if you ever get around to it.
Altar of Shadows. Once you get enough counters on this guy, it's a creature kill a turn. Combine with Staff of Domination or Voltaic Key for extra fun.
The old-school Mana Batteries (Black Mana Battery, etc.) could be useful.
Black Market - More mana!
Braid of Fire - Still more mana! But upkeep only.
Everflowing Chalice - More mana!
What to do with all that mana? Doubling Cube! What to do with that mana? I dunno. Fireball or something.
Arctic Nishoba - Gain 2 life for each counter on it when it dies.
Banshee's Blade - Huge creatures!
Umezawa's Jitte - You know how the Jitte wins games? Imagine a Jitte that never runs out of counters, thanks to doubling season/Gilder Bairn
Etched Oracle Huge creature, draws lots of cards.
Heliophile Huge creature. Opponent tries to destroy it? It Flings itself at their face!
Orochi Hatchery. SNAKES! Why'd it have to be snakes?
Sigil of Distinction - Huge creature!
Pious Kitsune with Eight-and-a-half-tails means lots and lots of life every turn.
Rakdos Riteknife. Sac a few creatures, then make your opponent sac lots more permanents.
Soul Echo can keep you from losing for a long time, long as you keep doubling the counters with Gilder Bairn.

Fun times in EDH coupled with Necropotence.
