And yes, no incantatrix for you. Or anyone. That class makes puppies cry. Mostly because they are the former Big Bads who have been Baleful Polymorphed into said puppies. By you. Because you're an incantatrix.

I suppose it's true. Though the logistics implied in a human/Great Wyrm Prismatic Dragon pairing makes me shudder.
...Something tells me that even should all arcane casters in the world unite, that the Grease spell would NOT be sufficient.
All I know is that between midnight tonight and coming in this morning, we sold a ridiculous number of boxes. We're up to $109.99 a box now.

In Spain I pre-ordered a pair of English Booster box, at 85€ each, that, at change, would be 125$ approx. but if you build on a local store it cost 110-120€ or 160-175$ approx.
At least your prices are not so higher than ours.

is anyone else not really excited about the majority of the rares in this set? Barring fetchlands and lotus cobra (and ancient treasures), nothing seems particularly amazing. It looks like as ben said allies are just a bad version of slivers, and a majority of the other rares seem like solid 1.5$.
granted, I'm not going to stop playing because boxes are expensive, it just seems like the set isn't living up to the hype.
I agree totally with Sharpshooter. And I'm not all into the cobra. Zendikar is overrated. Too many of the spells cost way too much, but I'm sure this is where the cobra helps.
Out of curiosity if they don't add the 'treasure' cards to subsequent printings, is there a way to identify the print run on the product? I just looked at few boxes from a couple years ago and I didn't see anything indicating print date. I could see there being 1st Print Run Zendikar: $5.99/booster now in stock! promotions or even needless lottery scams involving too good to be true prices on product 'guaranteed to improbably contain a treasure card!'.
I assume that from a business perspective WotC intends to at least finish off the set with the treasure cards, but who knows really. Could you imagine the overhead caused by accusations of fraud though? There'd definitely be a number of e-mails from angry nerdragers with statements like: MY TWENTY-NINE INTERNET FRIENDS AND I BOUGHT A COLLECTIVE TOTAL OF 84 BOXES OF ZENDIKAR RECENTLY WHICH WERE GUARANTEED TO BE 1ST RUN AND NO ONE OBTAINED A RARE TREASURE CARD WHEN WE HAD A HIGH STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF FINDING ONE ACCORDING TO A FORUM POST, PLEASE INVESTIGATE THE FOLLOWING EIGHT STORES FOR FRAUD!

WoTC never announced anything, I haven't seen any retailers promoting this, so I don't see how anything can be thrown negatively in that way.
Tonight we will get details.

I was talking hypothetically. I don't recall when print run has mattered in the past, I doubt it will now but we'll see. Still, there's no guarantee people would even be stopped by a direct confirmation that it didn't matter, rumors are hard to kill. The treasures are rare enough as is and some folks will do anything to exploit ignorant consumers for pennies.

t: Shoot target opponent with a cannon shell. Play this ability only any time your opponent whines.
From my own personal observations, I have seen more people who were stiffed on their preorders from E-bay vendors on Zendikar than any other set release I can ever remember - on boxes, on singles, and on sets. Aside from what's going on with thecardkid/captaincollect, what's the scene like out there?
I bought a case from captaincollect, and like everyone else never got it, so I eventually canceled it. I also bought 2 cases from dacardworld, which both arrived on release day, so that was nice. But after captaincollect's issues, I ordered 1 booster box and some fat packs from a more reliable/more expensive source, and those all arrived fine. Since I got what I needed from the 2 cases (and tons more), I may just resell the fat packs.
Anyway, my experience has been that other than captaincollect, everything else ordered arrived quickly and without issue.

I had a preordered box of Zendikar come through another website (MagicInferno). The price was about $105 shipped and it got to my place the Monday after the release. I'm rather pleased with their service, and I'm glad I chose this route rather than eBay (where, undoubtedly, having gone to one of the other groups would have cost me time and the now-jacked prices of a box).
where is everyone buying these $85 boxes from?!
i have found none sub $120 -_-
I think most of these $85 boxes you're referring to are pre-orders, which have long since past. Most B&M stores are at least $110, if not more right now.

I can vouch/confirm/attest to MagicInferno. I consistently order singles through them (free shipping at the qualified cut point is nice) and I preordered a case of ZEN back when Day of Judgment was revealed at ~$73/box - the case rate price at the time. While they didn't ship my case on release day (as they had apparently for Memnarch) they did ship on Monday and I should receive today according to the UPS tracking.
They are fast, relatively cheap, and have helped make good on the one error on their part.
Yes, if you missed what I just said, I preordered before the distributors raised prices and they honored the price I ordered at - no returned money, no hassle, and no significant delays. Not every online retailer is terrible.
Yes. A thousand times yes. They lured me in with Ivory Tower and Zuran Orb, and I kept telling myself "I can quit whenever I want...just look at that untapped disk". That was ten years ago man.....
I ordered 10 boxes ($800 after shipping) from thelegendarylotus. They arrived quickly (at the post office in Texas on Monday after being sent Friday afternoon) and they even threw in a t-shirt. I will be continuing to use their store for future box purchases.
Lmao. All my boxes I pre-ordered from eBay arrived in my po box monday-tuesday. BUT, my ONE box from Gameoutfitter has yet to be shipped. They said 4 days ago that it would ship out in 1-2 days. The arrival of it is pretty crucial to finishing my T2 decks.

I'm still waiting for M10 from gameoutfitters that I ordered in July!
