Just wonder if it is possible to play worlds? I dont have a pro player level 3+ and I don't think my dci rating would make the cut, what is the cut for worlds? Is there any other way to qualify? How many players get invitation from placing at gp/pt's? Thanks

Take a look at the document "premier invitation policy 2009"
For worlds:
Invitation Criteria
Each World Championship invitation list comprises the following:
The current World Champion.
The Top 8 finishers from the previous World Championship.
The 2008 Pro Tour Player of the Year.
For countries that hold an invitation-only National Championship, the members of each national team, including that team’s designated alternate, if any (see "National Team Composition" below).
For countries that hold an open National Championship, the winner of that National Championship (see "Open Nationals Invitations to the World Championship" below).
Players with Pro Tour Players Club level 3 or higher. Level 3 players may only attend one Pro Tour and/or World Championship of their choice in a season.
The Top 50 DCI Composite–ranked players from the APAC region.
The Top 50 DCI Composite–ranked players from the Europe region.
The Top 50 DCI Composite–ranked players from the Latin America region.
The Top 50 DCI Composite–ranked players from the North America region.
The Top 50 DCI Total–ranked players from the APAC region.
The Top 50 DCI Total–ranked players from the Europe region.
The Top 50 DCI Total–ranked players from the Latin America region.
The Top 50 DCI Total–ranked players from the North America region.
If you're not a level 3 pro player and your DCI is not enough, my guess is that you need to win in your nationals/be part of your national team or be named pro Tour Player of the Year.
Your best bet - being from Norway and all - would be to make top 4 of your nationals, based on the lists that performed well at the 2008 nationals and the tales of one of my friends who witnessed the play firsthand all weekend - it shouldnt be incomprehensible hard.
yeah, in fact realistic that is the ONLY way to do it thanks

Okay, as a Norwegian who have played in several nationals (including top 8s), I know that the difficulty isn't too high. Norway was once a very significant nation when it came to Magic (the European Championship was actually joked "Norway invitationals"), but most of the pros have retired or don't play regularly, so it isn't incredibly difficult to obtain a top 4 spot. It still isn't easy, and you will never get there if you aren't a pretty good tournament player, but it is less difficult than your average nationals.

Grinders are before Nationals, not Worlds.
