What would the Future Sight symbol for Planeswalker look like?

  • #1
Pretty simply, if future sight had included a planeswalker, or they are printed in the future with the Future shifted frame, what would the planeswalker symbol have looked like if you had your way?
  • #2
How about a spark? That would make sense due to the whole "planeswalker spark" thing. It could be just some kind of jagged star-shaped thing like an irregular asterisk or something.

I'd like it to be a doorway. Not sure why, but that does it for me. They do walk the planes with that ease, afterall

Perhaps some sort of abstract square-ish thing? I don't know why, actually that sounds pretty stupid lol. I do like the "planeswalker spark" idea presented by extremeicon, that would be fitting, although most people probably wouldn't get it.

How about a middle finger sticking up, because that's pretty much what they've done to us with Planeswalkers? Stupid

extremeicon - that'd be pretty similar to Instants, wouldn't it?

How about a circle to represent a plane?

Yeah, that kicks a... is awesome. Nice find!
Could this mean they'll be bringing back the new FS border?!

    Well I certainly hope so.

Nice work bradlyjx. Maybe we wont get future sight frames, they weren't super popular after all, but WotC might be looking at someway of incorporating the symbols onto more normal looking cards if they've actually gone to the effort of making a planeswalker one.

Granted, such a poll might not be representative for the whole of the Magic community (after all what's 32,000 votes out of approx. 7 million?), but I'd call 34.4% pretty popular.

Oh, and I really like that symbol. We'll see it on a card eventually, if not from Wizards themselves then from me Wink

nice find.. I wouldn't be dissappointed if they brought back the frame, but the walker frame would be different I think and I would have to make it in photoshop.

I would like to see an official gold futureframe tho, and what else they throw at us.

If I understand it correctly, it's an official planeswalker symbol used im MTGO filters. Other FS symbols are taken from there, too.

Pretty nice, but I have no idea why planeswalkers are associated with an eye Oo

I was actually thinking something more along the lines of this: (see attachment)

But I like the official one posted above better.

This is nice. You can see the planeswalker spark for sure, but the eye lets you know of the sentient nature of the card type. Well done.

I like. The eye is mighty fine. Good Find.

ok. I'm confused. I heard in one other space that the planeswalker expansion symbol is different, but I'm looking right at a planeswalker and a regular card and the only difference I see is the symbol is slightly smaller to fit. so what is the talk about??

EDIT: curious about this too so might as well all at once. are there foil planeswalkers?? haven't seen one.

They are talking about if the plainswalkers had the future shifted frames like in future sight, what the symbol would be in the top left corner.
