Hunt Bigger Game this year with Magic 2015—Duels of the Planeswalkers and discover a number of cool new things:
1.Be at the heart of the story: Players will find themselves dropped into the wilderness at the heart of the story: You’re not just on Garruk’s list—you’re next. The Curse of the Chain Veil has corrupted Garruk’s body and soul. His skin has paled, his flesh struck through with blackened veins. His hunter’s instinct has turned away from beasts of the wild toward the ultimate quarry—Planeswalkers! You will have to confront the deadliest hunter in the Multiverse. But, how will you defeat Garruk before he finds you?
2.Full, Open-Ended Deck Building: Players can build their own collection of cards to create any style of deck they want.
3.Platforms: It will be available on Xbox One, Xbox LIVE Arcade, iPad, PC via Steam, Android tablet via Amazon App Store and Google Play.
4.New Content: Five planes to explore and exciting virtual booster packs.
5.Single and Multiplayer: Battle the AI or your friends with your fully customized decks.
6.New Cards:Magic 2015—Duels of the Planeswalkers will feature some of the hottest cards from Magic 2015.
7.Launch Date: Coming soon in 2014!
So, they are allowing full customizing of decks from all unlocked cards. I never thought they would do it! Looks like Sealed will be back as well. Thoughts?

Ah, women. They make the highs higher and the lows more frequent.-Friedrich Nietzsche
Sometimes I feel like the word "interactivity" around here is akin to the word "electrolytes" in sports drinks. The public doesn't really know what it means, but they figure it's a good thing to have.
Hope all decks & cards (even from AI players) become unblocked after certain criteria gets reached;
As a personal taste, i also hope they keep the tribal support, specially if they use tribes alongside different strategies*: ww (humans/soldiers/kithkin), aggro (Minotaur / Beasts), combo (elves, dragonstorm), discard (rats with The Rack), control (vampires / wizards), tempo (faeries / merfolks) reanimation (zombies), ramp (dragons/eldrazi/Giants), rock (treefolk), tokens (name it), "burn" (gobbos), equip (kor), lifegain (clerics), ninjutsu (ninjas)
*the critic on this point comes from tons of decks with the "same" concept: 2 ramp decks (eldrazi and dragons), 2 enchantment decks (ajani and enchantress), 4 aggro decks (beasts, Illusion, samurai, humans).
Allow the usage of Planeswalkers;
More stability with Android and IOS;
HUGE PROPS to the open-ended deck building.
Just loved 2013 version, but i believe that with some few improvements, 2014 version will be near perfect.
ps: WOTC improve the Wizards tribe to a conter/burn tribe, we're missing a tribe more solid around this concept, which would be just GREAT.

"Now i lay you, down to rest, you'll never be more than second best" (Megadeth)
Open ended building is great! Makes replay value better. I hope they fix some issues, though, like being able to attack any opponent and a wider array of deck types that aren't just different cards in the same shell

Standard: Fog Maze
Modern: WUBRG Infect
Legacy: WUBRG Belcher
5 Color control, aggro and combo. Taste the Rainbow!
Two headed giant has specific rules on only being able to attack the opponent across from you. In archenemy and planechase and in free-for-all you are able to attack any opponent. I would like if you could choose to play against the decks you build. That would help you hone them by playing against them.

Hate to necro this, but have you guys heard about the premium packs? According to this, premium packs will be available that contain different cards. This is ridiculous, and, in my opinion, sort of ruins the point of dotp.

Well that is... stupid. I wonder how expensive those "premium" boosters are... If they are more than 1 €/$, it's too much for this kind of game in my opinion.
I'm really temptated to buy the game because of the deck editor and easy access to play some matches. I really hope the card pool isn't horrible and you are able to get the good stuff from the premium booster packs. If that is the case, I will never buy DOTP products again...
My concern now is that they will power-down the cards a lot (we know that the so-called sealed from DOTP 2014 was a disaster) just to keep things balanced. What's more, I also have a hunch that they will encourage people to buy actual boosters in order to gain access to certain cards, which ruins what ought to be the casual-aspect of the game - for players who don't want to spend money on cards but gain some experience and still stand a chance in the game's environment in spite of not investing...
So I don't know... I guess we'll see
I totally agree, I'm VERY skeptical about the open-ended deck customization, just imagine if, to put an example, the Fairy deck had access to the FoW or Counterspells that were available in Jace's deck, or Remand from Dack's deck, oh well, those would have been nice for the Dimir deck...still, I think they will have to either tone down the power level of the card pool, or hopefully restricting some cards instead, limiting them to 1 or 2 per pool so they can keep the casual aspect for the newer players, and some powerful cards for the MTG veterans.
I'm still very excited for this game. I would pay any day to play magic on this interface than the bull***** interface of magic:online.
1.99 for a premium booster pack means more deck building options and I don't have to sit at Friday Night Magic comic stores.
That's pretty steep for ten cards that will be obsolete when Magic 2016 releases
The core set always changes and some cards stay the same. It's been this way for 16 years. I can pay 1.99 for a digital booster that keeps them all in perfect condition and doesn't take up space in my closet compared to driving somewhere and paying 3.50 a pack, then sleeving them, then smelling people that don't shower, then having to take off of work Friday night. Yea I'll gladly pay the 1.99. Grant I'm 33 and make decent money; I don't expect everyone to make the same income I do. I see people spend much more on real cards in one FNM than most will probably spend on DOTP 2015.
With all the expansions, I doubt the premium boosters will be necessary. We already know what's in them, and while they have some good roleplayers (Wall of omens, the paragons) there aren't too many premium cards and the best cards are included already. I expect I'll buy the base game, some or all of the expansions, and be fine with that.
I agree. I have around close to 1500 hours into team fortress 2. I've spent more on that game than any other because I play it so much. I agree it might be a money sink but which part of MTG isn't?

Yo can see the deck building functions.
