I went to the itunes store, and found Magic 2014. Downloaded it (and I thought I paid for it).
I go to download it on my ipad (I went to itunes first because my ipad was dead and was charging it at the time) but it said I needed to update my ipad to the newest software version.
I plugged it in - says it is up to date (version 5.1.1).
I contacted the Apple store via phone (there is a mall near me that is certified) and they tell me that some iPads cant upgrade beyond v5.
I then message apple support via email - section: purchases, billing, and redemption. I first inquired about getting a refund due to not being able to play. They responded back asking for the invoice number from previous purchases section. Well I guess I selected the free (trial?) version as there were no charges for that day....
I told them so, and they said thanks for replying. I followed up with a tangent question: "the program that I downloaded....as stated earlier would not play due to my Ipad not havign the required version; however, this ipad is fully up to date...is there no way to play it?"
Karen replied back:
"Hello, I understand that you still can't play your app. I checked 'Magic 2014' and I confirmed that it requires iOS 6.0 or later. Please see the article below to confirm your iOS version
or
Go to Settings - General - Software Update
If checking your iOS or updating the iPad won't play the app, please let me know and see what I can do for you.

*PS Isn't it a small world.... new respect for Apple (in regards to her MTG comment).

New resopect for a company because an low level employee has played a (possibly just video) game????
Seriously this makes no sense because for almost every company out there there are Magic players somewhere in their employees, so are you going to respect them all more????

yes, one person can change someone's point of view. Look at sales positions, one good pitch and/or person can make a change.
edit - remember, the front end/front desk employees are the face of the company.
