While i was playing Legacy I realized in my opponents draw step that he "Moves a card from Library to hand" Instead of "Moves the top card of his library to hand".
The trick is, he is playing a deck without shuffle effects. He opens his library in my t2 and never closes it again. Then in his draw step he takes out whatever card he want instead of drawing a random card.
You can see he is opening his library in both games in my t2,he sneakyly opens his library while i am distracted. One time i play ponder and one time i search out for batterskull.
It is hard to realize it in game because it is such a small difference between
Player moves a card from the top of his library to hand.
Problems like this are why I never understand why people play Cockatrice. If you want to play online then don't be cheap and just play MTGO.
This isn't a problem with the program or some kind of bug (as if MTGO was free of bugs). But rather a warning on something to watch out for to the large community of people who do use cockatrice. I don't see any reason to be rude about something like this.
Also, some people use cockatrice to proxy/test, and some people would like to play vintage for a while without investing hundreds of dollars into it. Don't confuse curiosity with cheapness.
lol @kazzaki you made a missplay on game one you could have won by dissechant the porcelain legionari and next turn turn explosives x=0 on hin, but yeah it sucks when people cheats on magic games. i don't know maybe they are depressed and need the felling : oh i cheated and won . Omg i m great
lol this is a game win , lose, or draw is part of it , if you have to cheat on one thing that gives you notting ( by cheating) then you are already a loser.
This is a great way to make us more focused while playing on cockatrice : always see if the messenger [playerA] stops looking at his library.
The only reason I use Cockatrice is because I own a Mac. It is 2014 and MTGO still does not have a Mac version. I find this fact absurd and hilarious.
My best friend is one of the wealthiest people I personally know. He owns power, legacy decks, can build any modern or standard deck he wants, and he's definitely not a cheapskate.
But he plays on cockatrice....
Why? because of this. He owns a Mac, and WotC still doesn't understand how to make MTGO for mac....

I personally play cockatrice entirely for testing purposes, not for actual gameplay. I need to run enough games with different versions of any given deck before I go to the trouble of acquiring the cards IRL. Even after cockatrice testing, I run through a TON of games with a playtest group IRL before any given tournament.
With that said, I agree that it's absurdly stupid to use cockatrice as some sort of "freebie MTGO". These are also the same people that ragequit when you point out a mistake, or they aren't familiar with a certain card interaction. It makes quality testing a truly rare thing.
Tinfi, if you are talking about me, thats not true at all. I have a PC also, however I spuradically quit online magic for WOW and LOL sometimes. because of this I do not want to invest in MTGO.
"Punch him in the face" and "punch harder" are unacceptable in WCT. Advocating violence falls under the category of malicious advice. Suspension issued.

What is the point of cheating on Cockatrice? I mean cheating is always bad, etc, etc, but at least in a real tournament there's a tangible reward for winning.

Did you come here for the sake of the Dharma? Or did you come here for the sake of a chair?

Because some people wrap all of their self worth into winning, and will use any means to accomplish that goal.
It's really hard to ban a player when you don't provide the players name or evidence of this to a moderator. I applaud you for not posting their name in this forum, but perhaps you could contact me or another moderator with a screencap of this or even the replay file of the game. We would be happy to investigate it further.
P.S. I would recommend you don't PM me on here as I don't check my account on here often.
Cheating is against the "code of conduct" for the cockatrice server I host.
Unsportsmanlike Conduct
Cockatrice aims to provide a fun and fulfilling gameplay experience for all users. Playing games to intentionally detract from the enjoyment of other users will not be tolerated.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Cheating
Repeatedly kicking people without a valid reason.
I encourage you to contact a person on the moderation team when issue's like this occur and applaud your posting to warn other users of potential cheating habits that others may overlook. As far as the MTGO. I encourage the use of it as well. Cockatrice was never and will never be meant to get a "free" form of a game or break any type of copyright laws. Some may use it as such but that's like not supporting the company that develops the game, and with out any profit how long do you think the game will last?

*EDIT* And thank you Kazzaki for the heads up.

I use it because I prefer to test my new deck before I buy it.

Heck, I even play on MTGO rather often.
