I posted this on MTGNews awhile back, until a new version comes out I created a 'workaround' for the guild insignias to be colored and what not. I also created FNM and DCI watermarks. I made quick fixes to the game and style file. Remember to back up your style (under data\magic-new.mse-style) and game (under data\magic.mse-game).
FNM and DCI watermarks will probly look squished since it utilizes the same box as the guild watermarks, believe someone fixed that but I dont have that fix as of yet. ANd I dont know if Twanvl has fixed that I do know that watermark blending has been fixed in the next version but has yet to be released as I believe Twan is very busy
AFAIK the colored insignias I helped create should blend into the cards like it is on an actual card. Least I hope it does.
Zip file is about 2MB, includes all watermarks Ive created for the work around until a new release is made.

Is there any way to set up a double-parameter keyword, such as "KEYWORD X-Do Y (blah blah blah X, then do Y.)"? Or do I have to do that manually?
EDIT: Also, how do you fix the problem with the letter "N" in keywords?
EDIT: Also, how can I get periods and commas into keyword parameters?
You mean like Threshold?
I don't generally bother with the keywords, but I'll try to help you out on this one.
Okay, first of all, sorry to say, but you can't have two parameters. However...try this:
Go to "Mechanics", then click on "Parameter" to choose "Action", then click on "Separator" to click on either "Dash [-]" or "Dash [-]".
Hey, wait, there is a double-parameter...I think.:)
Hope I've helped,
M.M. (Mercadian Masques:))
P.S.: You can do this manually instead of doing it by machine, because mechically doing this can mess up all cards. For example, if you wanted to stick reminder text on all cards, but you have a card that has a huge amount of text, you'd screw that one up. So manually is probably the best.;)
P.P.S.: Hold on! You're the founder of Clan R.&D., and you use M.S.E. 2? Wow!:) I thought that you would probably use Adobe Photoshop 9 CS2.:tongue:
Apparently, you can't get periods and commas into keyword parameters unless you want to tinker with the data file, and that ain't safe. I see if I can do it. If so, I tell you how to do it.:) If not, I report to you that it can't be done as soon as possible.:(
I think Eledin means more like Forecast. And I have no idea how to do that.
Oh, I see. I'll also see whether I can have it done...I post/edit back in a while.
Edit back: You don't need to have a double parameter.
For Forecast, this is what I did to achieve the optimal effect:
1) Click on "Mechanics" tag;
2) click on "Keyword"
3) type in "Forecast";
4) open the "Parameter" box;
5) click on "Action";
6) open the "Separator" box;
7) click on "Dash [ — ]" box.
8) save M.S.E. 2.
With this done, you can type in mana by using "[" and "]"; or you can type in actions.
I'm not sure whether this is what you meant, but I hope this helps. I'm loosing focus. Sorry. It's really late whereever I am.;)
With Threshold it works fine how I got it done in MSE, the parameter is Name and works similar to action.
its not as hard as you may think, just back up files just in case. Hellbent has no reminder text so its not needed.
if you want to fiddle with the game file (back up just in case you get this wrong)
Find this:
############################# All Magic keywords
# By JrEye and Neko_Asakami
Add this to the end:
keyword:
keyword: Graft
separator: whitespace [ ]
parameter: number
reminder: This creature comes into play with +1/+1 counters on it. Whenever another creature comes into play, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this creature onto it.
keyword:
keyword: Forcast
separator: dash [ - ]
parameter: action
reminder: Play this ability only during your upkeep and only once each turn.

One problem. On the actual cards, Graft 2 says it comes into play with "two" not 2, and Graft 3 says "three", and so on and so forth.
Maybe Graft should be added like this:
keyword:
keyword: Graft 1
separator: whitespace [ ]
parameter: none
reminder: This creature comes into play with one +1/+1 counters on it. Whenever another creature comes into play, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this creature onto it.
keyword: Graft 2
separator: whitespace [ ]
parameter: none
reminder: This creature comes into play with two +1/+1 counters on it. Whenever another creature comes into play, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this creature onto it.
keyword: Graft 3
separator: whitespace [ ]
parameter: none
reminder: This creature comes into play with three +1/+1 counters on it. Whenever another creature comes into play, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this creature onto it.
keyword: Graft 4
separator: whitespace [ ]
parameter: none
reminder: This creature comes into play with four +1/+1 counters on it. Whenever another creature comes into play, you may move a +1/+1 counter from this creature onto it.
thats where you stick your own reminder text in place of that. Unfortunately your Graft recommendations wont work. Tried that before and program doesnt like Keywords with similar names.
Really? I tried doing that with Scry, amd it seemed to work. I only did three, but they worked alright.
Also, to clarify my question, I was asking if there could be two parameters that are separated in the reminder text. From what everyone said, I thik it's impossible, so I'll do it manually.
Not, double parameters are ... having two parameters. You can't do it with the current version, since you can only assign one parameter for each keyword.
Yes, correct. There are no double parameters...for the moment.
I stayed up trying to mess around so that it could be possible, but apparently, it isn't.

Actually it works. Wizards of the Coast really loves to use actual word-numbers rather than Roman Arabic numerals.

I think i tried something that was too similar for the program. the only problem is with doing Graft 1, Graft 2 etc, creates a redunancy in the game file that is just as easily done by putting it in yourself. There are a few other Keywords thats created similar to Graft that will inturn have the same problems.

Just use the numeral instead of the exact wording that WotC uses. What's wrong with that?
well just like shopping you want to create something that is pretty close to the original, different things such as 1 instead of one can kill the asthetic that ita a magic card

Something is wrong with the program for you then. If there are instances of just "Graft" delete it, because it will cause the program to conflict with other mentions of "Graft", "Graft X", "Graft 1", "Graft 2", "Graft 3", etc.
You can also override it from the mechanics tag on the program.
I have just implemented a 'smart english parameter' option. Now any number paremeters will expand as "a thing", "two things", "three things", etc. It is also smart enough to switch between "As you play a creature spell" and "As you play an Arcane spell.
You can expect this in the next release (no date yet, I am way to busy).
Oooooo, very cool. It's always nice to know that the creator of my favorite Magic program cares about grammar.

Syntax is become less important now, but thanks, as it will help several people with English, especially, those who acknowledge English as their native language, and can't spells correctly or use grammar correctly.
As Cantripmancer said, please, don't worry, take your time.;)
Currently MSE2 does support for magic: Hybrid frames (2-5 color hybrids), the new gold games, split and flip cards. Supports also Guild Insignia and Guild Mana.
MSE2 will probly never be 'final' as Magic seems to change things every so often
MSE2 will probly never be 'final' as Magic seems to change things every so often
That's totally not what I meant. I just meant all the magic things right now: split, hybrid, etc. the "final" version means that all known bugs/glitches are fixed and all things possible in magic right now is in there.
only thing that really isnt active is correct scripts to color insignias and Reminder texts to be like actual cards. twan has fixed this but is busy atm. I have a work around for guild insignia and also I dont think there is any bugs that are really major

Okay, thanks. I'll try to try patching M.S.E. 2 up.
Also, I've been working on the insignias and the coloring of the mana symbols watermarks, because they are a bit dark.
Those FNM and DCI watermarks look great!:)
EDIT: Also, how do you fix the problem with the letter "N" in keywords?

Answer to the other questions- double parameter - probly not though Ive never tried
punctuation - i dont see why not just make sure key word is blah, or blah. in your game file (believe its the game file)
FNM/DCI are of true size to fit in the box as normal, though I dont know how to properly fix so that those come up normal without messing insignia
You mean like Threshold?

Also, making hybrid and multicolor gold frames are possible, right? Do you have to photoshop a frame, then upload it?
Note: I haven't downloaded it.
