I just finished making a Lord of the Rings Cube, its a 270 card Cube primarily base on creature interactions.
I think it is important to say that I do not own any picture or drawing displayed on the cards, and by no means I intend to make money off this.
The reason I generated this thred in the "Rulings" section is because I want to give it a final polish, I will use this thread to ask some questions about certain interactions between the cards I've created and clear some unclear rules.
I'll link the entire Cube later if any of you wants to download it and print it in your home.
1) Caverns of Isengard - The question with this card is the following, can you Sacrifice a creature and reanimate it with the same ability?
2) Peregrin Tuk - First of all, the text in this card will be changed from "shuffle it into your library" to "its owner shuffles it into his or her library".
The question here is: if I have gained control of a Grizzly Bears an opponent owns and I control Peregrin Tuk. Will I draw a card from Peregrin's Tuk ability if the Grizzly Bears dies?
1. Yes. Your card says "Return a creature card", so the creature sacrificed this way is a valid choice as long as that card is still in the graveyard when the ability resolves. (Note that this differs if the card said "Return target creature card", since you must choose targets before you pay costs, including sacrificing creatures [C.R. 601.2c, 601.2f].)
Thanks! That's not what the card is meant to do. So it will be changed so it says "target".
I'm a former judge (lapsed), who keeps up to date on rules and policy. Keep in mind that judges' answers aren't necessarily more valid than those of people who aren't judges; what matters is we can quote the rules to back up our answers. When in doubt, ask for such quotes.
