How does this card-making game work? It's simple! Whenever your card receives a vote in the day's poll, you receive [1] point for the month. If your card ends up with the most votes for that day, you will receive [2] additional points for the month. In the event of a tie, each person who tied receives [1] additional point. At the end of each month, the person with the most points on the scoreboard wins that month, then the scoreboard is cleared for the next month. You can participate in as many or as few days as you want in any month.
Rules
Each day you may post any card you want. On the next day all of the posted cards will be put into a poll the thread as long as your card didn't get disqualified - see the next point for more details. If you post more than one card in a DCC thread, only the first card you post will be taken.
When you vote, you need to make exactly two votes for two different people. Vote for the cards that are listed in the first post, not other cards being posted in the thread. If you notice that you've only voted for one person, include your second vote in a post, even if you're not submitting a card.
If you want to change your vote for any reason, post that change in the day's thread (you can include it with your card if you want). Changed votes in the discussion thread will be ignored.
Voting for only one person, for three or more people, or for yourself will earn you an asterisk by your name in the monthly leaderboard. So will failing to vote if you've posted a card. (We're not going to do anything about people who don't vote or post cards; that would be kind of silly.) This indicates that you're on probation for the next 21 days. If you're on probation and you make another improper vote, your card will be disqualified. Repeated disqualification is grounds for warnings and/or infractions for not following the game rules, so please don't do it.
Voting for everything in the poll will be grounds for a lifetime ban from the DCC. Don't do it. It just wastes the thread creators' time.
If you wish to post a render, please use the hyperlink option when posting your card and make the card name the image link. Renders are usually large enough to clog up the list, so submit a text-formed card and (optionally) a link in the name to the render.
This thread is just for your card submission. Take your questions/comments to our discussion thread. If it's a question, comment, or complaint about probation, PM me instead and I'll explain it.
Anyone can post the new thread for the day. When you post it, make sure that:
You have a poll in the thread;
You include everyone's cards (excluding cards that have been disqualified);
The poll is marked as public and multiple choice with a one-day time limit; and
You update the leaderboard with the previous day's scores.
(An easy way to post the new thread is to hit the multiquote button on every post in the previous day's thread, then click Post Reply. Select everything in this post, copy it, and then paste it into the first post for a new thread. You'll have to clean up a few small things, like quote tags around the opening post and the previous day's cards.)
Notes of the Day
WELL, ITS SEEMS THE SAME OLD NAMES ARE STARTING TO COALESCE AROUND THE TOP. NOT THAT I'M UNHAPPY. AT LEAST THIS TIME WE'VE GOT A GOOD, FOUR-FIVE, MAYBE SIX CONTENDERS RIGHT NOW, RATHER THAN SOME BORING TWO-HORSE-RACE.
Turf Charm (Common) XG
Sorcery
Choose X —
• You may play an additional land this turn.
• Return a land card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
• Target creature fights target creature controlled by another player.
Ephemeral DisappearanceX(W/U)(W/U)
Instant (R)
Exile up to X nonland permanents you control, then return those cards to the battlefield under your control. "Don't blink!"
—Rura Aesdotter, aethermage
Sword of the Sewers -- 4
Artifact -- Equipment (M)
Equipped creature gets +2/+2 and has hexproof and menace.
Whenever equipped creature deals combat damage to a player, that player discards two cards and you draw two cards.
Equip (2/U)(2/B)
Votes: TriceDefied, Groovelord
Mention: Blydden (I like the card very much, too bad it doesn't work as intended because you can always cast an instant any time you have priority, it should have been "any time you could cast a sorcery")
Ingenious Sabotage2R
Sorcery (U)
You get E(an energy counter) for each artifact you control, then you may pay E. If you do, destroy target artifact. “What? My rival’s invention was destroyed by gremlins overnight? Who would have known...”
—Kerat, Fair contestant
Shield of Sun and Moon3
Artifact - Equipment (Mythic)
Equipped creature gets +0/+4 and has protection from white and blue.
Equipped creature has "T: This creature deals 2 damage to target attacking or blocking creature" and "T: Draw two cards, then discard two cards."
Equip 2
Webwood Ambusher3GG
Creature - Spider [R]
Reach, vigilance, protection from instants
When an opponent casts a spell during your turn, you may cast Webwood Ambusher as though it has flash and pay GGG instead of paying its mana cost. The Fae are cunning but they are not as wise as they are delicious.
4/6
Divine MorphologyGW
Instant (R)
The next time a source of your choice would deal damage to you, prevent that damage. Put a green Elemental creature token onto the battlefield with power and toughness equal to the amount of damage prevented this way.
ReprimandUUB
Instant (R)
Counter target spell. Up to one target creature gets -1/-1 until end of turn. "Your first mistake was thinking you made only one mistake." -- Mirko Vosk
Assertion1UU
Instant (U)
Counter target spell. If its controller has fewer cards in hand than you, fateseal 1. Transitioning knowledge to power via confidence.
Aether Gargantuan6UU
Creature - Whale(M)
Flying
Whenever Aether Gargantuan attacks, remove all counters from your opponents and all permanents they control. Draw a card for each non +1/+1 counter removed this way.
7/7
(No card today. I am currently suffering from a head cold and would rather not end up wasting everyone's time with a submission as equally bad as yesterday's.)
Substitute1UU
Instant (R)
Search your library for an artifact card with the same converted mana cost as target artifact you control and put it onto the battlefield, then shuffle the target artifact into its owner's library.
Detailed Deconstruction1UR
Instant (C)
Destroy target artifact. Draw a card. If you own that artifact, draw two cards instead. "Destruction isn't needless! How are we to understand something new if we don't take it apart to figure out how it works?"
Gremlin Broodmother2RR
Creature - Gremlin (U)
When ~ enters the battlefield, you may destroy target artifact. If an artifact is destroyed this way, create two 1/1 red gremlin creature tokens.
3/3
Intuitive SparkRR
Enchantment Creature - Elemental (R)
Whenever you play a card from exile, Intuitive Spark deals 2 damage to target creature or player. Nothing burns quite like the flames of passion.

Telsa's Coil (Rare) 4
Legendary Artifact
At the beginning of each opponent's upkeep, you get E(an energy counter).
At the beginning of your upkeep, Telsa's Coil deals 1 damage to each opponent for each E you have. I am the greatest inventor ever! Everyone who ever laughed at my inventions will die! - Telsa, mad genius

Bargain - (When you cast this card, choose one of the following option as an additional cost)
* Pay 4 life
* Sacrifice a creature
3/3
Scattering Maelstrom 4UW
Instant
If a creature would die this turn, instead exile it with X time counters on it, where X is that creature's converted mana cost. If that card doesn't have suspend, it gains suspend.
"I found Hans four miles down and three years later. The sandwich he snatched from me was still fresh" - Rufus, maelstrom survivor
This card was designed with the name Fight or Flight, but only after having posted it I realized a card with that name already exists, so I had to change it and put it in the flavor text instead.
