Until end of turn, target creature gains first strike and gets +X/+0, where X is the number of snow permanents you control. Tap it.
Dead of Winter: Nice play on words. Pyrebolt: Snapcast is interesting.
Asrama
Coagulated Mass: The first ability, when continuous, is red. Defender's Stratagem: I think this is too complicated to be a common.
Antny223
Terrordile: I don't know if something like this would be printed, but it all fits. Possum to Predator: Green rarely gets to untap creatures these days. May this should be GW.
Polendino
Paragon of Frost: I feel the flavour and the function do not mix. Soul's Resurgence: A restricted Swords to Plowshares? Still undercosted, imo.
Thelas
No show?
willows
Maw of Whiteness: An AiRElEmEntal that turns all lands into snow? It could happen, but at uncommon. Icicle Talons: It's kind of pointless to tap the creature.
FreshMeat
Bull Krogus: This can take down a 7-toughness creature. I think i should be rare. Frozen Fire: I can see this actually being printed.
I like that your monster hates on the snow. Your spell is pretty clunky for a common, but it's acceptably complex. It's nice, though.
Your monster is a good way to do the activated fight mechanic, and the pump separates it from previous iterations. Nice. Your spell is a more parasitic evacuation, but it's not the worst.
I don't see why your monster bounces the blocker at end of combat. There's no reason it can't be done in the combat damage step, and in fact the delayed trigger is much more complex than doing it immediately. Your spell is nice, but Flurry suffers from the same problems as Buyback and Flashback, and that's that it results in repetitive gameplay and unintuitive deckbuilding. It does good things for the drafting process, though. Deeper though, it's just Buyback that you can only pay 3 times.
I feel like your monster just a strictly better Furnace Whelp. It's not very threatening to your round 1 monster, either. Not bad, though. Should be "first strike, trample or haste" if I recall correctly. I'd like your spell more if you could pay 1 snow and 1 nonsnow and get both effects.
It's around here in the judging that the word "snow" is beginning to seem like not actually a real one. Your monster is pretty good, and has lots of knobs for an Uncommon. I love your spell, though. It's super sweet. Should be Rare for limited though; Mind Control isn't at Uncommon anymore.
You and Raikou get bonus points for not shoehorning the word "snow" onto your cards. Your monster should be "dealt damage last turn" for complexity's sake, but it's cool. Your spell is clunky by virtue of targeting twice, and should be "X is the discarded card's converted mana cost." For NWO's sake maybe make it non-land so that people don't get shafted by misunderstanding it.
You and Clear get bonus points for not shoehorning the word "snow" onto your cards. Valukar is a pretty sweet Mythic, but feels like he should have mana costs on his abilities, just to stop broken combos. Impound is my favourite card this round - clean, elegant, and very UW. Well done

First off, I want to thank everyone on Team Ice that A) put their team name in their post and B) included their first Round cards (or a link).
Rudyard
The creature and monster will trade off, which is sad. That combat trick could be broken all to pieces by cheating in a creature with an exploitable EtB trigger... like a Primordial.
aftermarketradio
The octopus can't overcome your creature's ability to regenerate, and +1/+1 and -1/-1 counters don't exist in the same block. That's without getting into the power level issues involved with your card.
MagicProfessor28
Considering your first creature is pro-snow, the monster can't eat it. Your kill spell, outside of templating errors, also has the drawback of killing your creature as well.
Gerrard's Mom
Boros-flavored dragon can get the job done, and the Cloud is an interesting Green Edict variant.
wantonwizard
Hungry, hungry cannibal... though the astronomer will likely be too busy to try and block it. Your kill spell needs templating fixes, and probably a bump in cost.
AmShegar
Big kitty. Your spell does nothing to "rid yourself of the monster," though.
Ixias
Your monster can't surmount regeneration, and fight cards are always highly conditional removal.
Admirableadmrial - Both cards feel solid, though Brilliant Defeat seems like it should be uncommon, and neither feel verywintery, flavowise.
Legend - Dead of Winter... Brilliant name, good zombie. Snapcast is an interesting way to have a restricted flashback, but I would've liked to have seen a slightly higher cost for that
Asrama - I like Coagulated Mass, though I'd like it more if it started smaller. Defender's Stratagem is a good card. I like the effects, but it's too complex of an effect at common.
Antny223 - Terrordile is good. Possum to Predator is an awkward name for a decent spell, I don't know if green should get to untap by itself. Gerrard's Command is similar and is GW
Polendino - I really like your creature, your spell though, it's Reciciprocate + Swords / Meh.
Thelas - No Show
willows - I like Maw of Whitness, It makes a great snow enabler, but I don't really get your spell. I wouldn't want to pump my opponents creature just to tap in down, nor would I want to tap my own creature down after buffing it.
Fresh Meat - I love Frozen Fire, I also like the way you captured the flavor of a charging bull eith your creature.
Get a free fight off a 5/5 feels too good and certainly beyound what ulenwald tracker gave us.
The snow hoser is too swingy IMO.

The mammoth is too bland for my tastes.
Counterspell is a bit too forgettable as well.

The yeti is nice and terrifying.
Flurry feels straight out of coldsnap. The card's pretty solid though.
Jimmy Grove
Strictly better furnace whelp is possible a little too good in snow set(maybe it could have been 1 more)
The sac spell is a little awkward to use and I don't like it for that.
herbert west
The yeti's a little strange but in a good way.
The damage prevention will more often than not be irrelevant on blizzard.
ClearwaterStilts
I'm not a massive fan of the bonus if dealt damage mechanic.
I appreciate the potential two for one with Glacier Madness but I worry about the number of potential feel bad moments that will occur when it doesn't work out.
Boreal Yeti4G

Return all nonland snow permanents to their owner's hands. "I feel warmer already, now that they're gone." - Sabian, Tandarian Emissary
These seem fair. I like the Yeti's ability a lot! I do kind of wish that it were templated like Rootwalla so that you could use it as removal and then still attack with it, though.
The Monster - Tundra Stalker3UU
Snow Creature - Yeti [C]

“This may sting a little...”
—Alysa Darkhart, Frostmage
I like the Yeti because of how much I like Wall of Tears. The low power is a sensible balance for its powerful removal ability.
I'm not sure that I like Frostbite because of the high handling time of Flurry. The multisnow mana cost is kind of clunky as well.
Tundra Village
Snow Land - Plains (U) (T: Add W to your mana pool.)
Tundra Village enters the battlefield tapped.
When Tundra Village enters the battlefield, you may pay 1WW. If you do, target opponent cannot cast spells until the beginning of your next turn.
Young Trapper1W
Snow Creature - Human Scout (U) S,T: Tap target creature. If white mana was spent to activate this ability, gain 1 life. He already brings food home to the village, but how he faces a far more difficult task.

I like your whelp design, but I think I'd like it better without the trample option! It seems weird, flavor-wise, for a creature so little. Also it's awkward that it references a Weird in its name.
Shivering Pioneer1GW
Creature - Nomad Shaman (U) 1S, Sacrifice Shivering Pioneer: Search your library for a snow land and reveal that card. Shuffle your library and put that card on top of it.

Avalanche Banshee1RR
Snow Creature - Spirit (U)
Kicker - R and/or S

Prevent all damage target creature would deal to you or a creature you control. If damage is prevented in this way, gain control of that creature.
You send someone out in the cold like that, they might not come back on your side.
I wish there were a cleaner way to express what you were doing with Avalanche Banshee. I see what's happening; it's just very wordy and that's unfortunate. Cool design though.
lol, I designed exactly this card, other than the name, for ValentineX's RPG. Anyway, the submission. Continuing the mythos of my previous submission, anyone who has done a 100% run of the source material should instantly recognize this guy.
Valukar, Soulless Ruffian4UBR
Legendary Creature - Orc Shaman {M} T: Gain control of target creature until end of turn. Untap that creature. It gains haste until end of turn. T: Target opponent reveals his or her hand. You may put a creature card from it onto the battlefield under your control. It gains haste until end of turn. Return that creature to its owner's hand at the beginning of the next end step.
4/6
ImpoundWU
Instant {C}
Return target creature to its owner's hand. Until the end of its controller's next turn, spells with the same name as that creature can't be cast. "This apparatus is in violation of our laws and will be confiscated until further notice."
I feel like Valukar's abilities should have a mana cost so that they are a little less easily abusable. (I realize that the high mana cost can help control that as well, but let's face it, in multi-B there's no reason you can't reanimate him.)
Impound is clever and I like it, but I feel like it needs to cost 1 more mana so it's not quite as punishing in the early game.
Ambermane Alpha2WR
Creature - Cat (U)
Haste

"The icicles are gnashing teeth, ready to crush me! The snow is a suffocating blanket! The trees shed razor needles that cut at my very sanity!"
Ambermane Alpha is a nice surprise. I like it without reservation.
Glacier Madness is pretty strong! It should probably have "choose target creature" at the beginning. As written it's not clear when you choose targets for the spell. I like it too.
Shardfrost Dragon4RR
Creature - Dragon (R)
Flying 1W: The next 1 damage that would be dealt by Shardfrost Dragon this turn is dealt to target creature instead. U: Tap target creature dealt damage by Shardfrost Dragon this turn. That creature doesn't untap during its controller's next untap step.

Rust Cloud2G
Sorcery (C)
Choose one or both — Target player sacrifices a creature with flying; and/or target player sacrifices an artifact. Khoravon's choking skies are a reflection of the technarchs' polluted souls.
(The sorcery would flavorfully be from the GUB wedge.)
Interesting dragon. It's abilities seem fair. Rust Cloud is a neat piece of removal. Not sure why it needs to be choose one or both (except for odd occasions where they have a flying creature or artifact that benefits you.)
Octopus Tyrant :6mana::symu::symu:
Creature - Octopus (R)
Octopus Tyrant enters the battlefield with eight +1/+1 counters on it.
Remove a +1/+1 counter from Octopus Tyrant: Tap target creature and put a tangle counter on it.
Creatures with tangle counters on them don't untap during their controller's untap step. The bigger it is, the harder you fall.
0/0
Covered in Bugs :1mana::symb:
Sorcery (U)
+1/+1 counters become -1/-1 counters. The vermin of Hersia are never far from a source of warmth.
Octopus Tyrant is a neat creature. Locks down the board and plays very well with certain Simic cards. Covered in Bugs is a card I like (the fact that one isn't supposed to mix those tokens in the same set be damned.) I'm not sure that wording works though, so perhaps "For each creature, remove all +1/+1 counters from it and put that many -1/-1 counters on it."
Frostpeak Kurba2RR
Snow Creature - Cat (C)
Whenever another snow creature dies, you may pay 1S. If you do, put a +1/+1 counter on Frostpeak Kurba. The kurba are ferocious predators, but they're not above eating a frozen adventurer now and then.
4/2
Survival Instincts2G
Instant (U)
Target creature you control gets +1/+1 until end of turn. That creature fights another target creature. "Instincts are a powerful thing, but they are best when bolstered by magic." - Frostbeard warrior
The cat seems nice. Seems like it might make a better uncommon, but I grant it's not terribly complex.
Survival Instincts seems fair. Kind of bland, but this is a fight spell that I'm sure will happen in the future.
Sesybdis of Icy Depths7UUU
Legendary Snow Creature — Squid (M)
Snow islandwalk, hexproof 2S: Tap target land and put an ice counter on it. That land is a Snow-Covered Island for as long as it has an ice counter on it.
Lands with ice counters on them don’t untap during their controllers’ untap steps. “One thrash of its mighty tentacles, and entire cities are frozen solid by the ensuing tidal waves.”
9/9
Frostbite1BBB
Sorcery (R)
Put -1/-1 counters on each creature equal to that creatures power. “It may come and go in a snap, but the burning will last forever.”
Sesybdis seems brutally oppressive. Granted, a 10-drop should be powerful, but I wonder if it should cause that land not to untap during its controller's 'next' untap step. Frostbite's flavor feels a bit off. Surely there should be some reference to snow in there...
Hunting Yeti1RG
Creature - Yeti (U)
Haste
Hunting Yeti attacks each turn if able.
Hunting Yeti must be blocked each turn if able.

Defensive Reinforcement2W
Instant (U)
You may put a creature card from your hand onto the battlefield blocking target creature attacking you. If you put a creature onto the battlefield this way, return it to your hand at the beginning of the next end step.
I like the yeti. Simple and effective. Defensive Reinforcement is strong, but not disgusting so like a certain cousin of it...
Frostfield Cannibal3B
Creature ~ Human (R)
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice a creature and gain life equal to it's toughness.
5/5 The more he ate, the more he hungered, all the while losing his soul.
Just DesertsB
Instant (U)
Target creature gets -X/-X where X is the number of creatures in each graveyard. In the end, the wizard let the souls of his victims decide his fate.
I think the cannibal thinks he's delicious. It's just a Doomgape with a smaller cost and a lower P/T though. I think intimidate would of done a fine job of helping him stand out a little.
Just Deserts might need to cost a little bit more, but it's otherwise fine.
Snow Leopardodon4GG Creature - Beast CatU
Trample
Put a land you control on top of your library: Snow Leopardadon -2/-0 until the end of turn. Any player may activate this ability. Hiding in the trees won't help: it doesn't hunt you. I hunts entire forests.

Flash
Enchanted creature has Dodge. (If enchanted creature would be dealt damage, reveal the top card of your library and put it on the bottom. If you revealed land card this way, prevent that damage.)
Snow Leopardon might as well not have a drawback. A mere -2/-0 is hardly worth losing one's draw over. I do note that rather amusing synergy with Surprising Agility, but otherwise, it's an aggressively costed 8/8 trampler. As for Agility, it's a neat mechanic, but I feel like it'd be hard pressed to gain traction without a lot of support.

Counter target creature spell. If a nonsnow spell is countered this way, draw a card.
Winter winds can bring about the end of even the mightiest beasts.
The mammoth makes sense and is solid and balanced, but also boring as hell. It doesn't give me a feeling of a monster about to eat you, it's just a big wooly mammoth grazing on the tundra.
Freeze Over is not balanced. I don't know how wizard feels about permission decks nowdays, but last time I checked, they made sure not to give them too much fuel. Your card gives a permission deck the two things it needs most: counterspells and extra draws. It's too cheap to be printable. Also, from a flavor POV, it doesn't give me the feeling of "getting rid of a monster in your way" since countering it means it was never in your way to begin with.
Boreal Yeti4G
Snow Creature - Yeti (R) 2G,t: ~ gets +2/+2 until end of turn. ~ fights target creature you don't control.

Winter Roundup3UU
Instant (R)
Return all nonland snow permanents to their owner's hands. "I feel warmer already, now that they're gone." - Sabian, Tandarian Emissary
The yeti is a bomb in limited and casual. Don't recall too many repeatable fighter outlets like this. Closest thing is Stalking Yeti, which didn't have the power boost and required a much bigger mana investment and was way less efficient. I'm not sure if being rare justifies giving it such an upgrade. I also don't like the lack of synergy between tapping and pumping yourself.
Winter Roundup will only be powerful in an environment that can never EVER allow it to be printed. It can mess up a board too easily and would punish players for playing with the set's mechanics.
The Monster - Tundra Stalker3UU

“This may sting a little...”
—Alysa Darkhart, Frostmage
The yeti is good, but not a common. While the ability is simple in its execution, it comlecates combat interactions in a way a common should never do. Can you imagine what it would be like to play against several of these in limited? make it uncommon.
I really like Frostbite and Flurry. It's cool and seems like it would go great in a smallish set meant for limited, where multiple copies of everything can be hoarded fairly easily. It should be a common, though, even if it's technically repeatable removal. If you're keeping uncommon, no reason for it not to be an instant, imo.
Frostburn Whelp2RR

Frostburn Whelp is adorable (though doesn't really fit the requirement of "large snarling monster that wishes to stop you and turn you into lunch"). Design is very solid, and it seems like a good vain for future ice-themed sets. Balance is perfect too.
Thermal Trap has a nice little flavor behind it, and I can find no fault in its execution. Great job.
Avalanche Banshee1RR
Snow Creature - Spirit (U)
Kicker - R and/or S
When Avalanche Banshee enters the battlefield, if the R kicker was paid, target snow permanent becomes nonsnow until Avalanche Banshee leaves the battlefield.
When Avalanche Banshee enters the battlefield, if the S kicker was paid, it deals damage equal to the number of snow permanents you control to target nonsnow creature.

Prevent all damage target creature would deal to you or a creature you control. If damage is prevented in this way, gain control of that creature.
You send someone out in the cold like that, they might not come back on your side.
The banshee has good synergy between it's kickers, which is good, but I dislike the fact the the S kicker is significantly better than the R kicker. Other than that, the card's balanced, the idea is solid.
Blizzard Snare is a bit weird. It's a cambat trick that leaves you with a creature, but I don't see the connection between damage prevention and mind controlling, both mechanically and flavorly. I'd like the two parts of the card feel like the can interact in some crazy way that would leave me with more than just a creature.
Valukar, Soulless Ruffian4UBR
Legendary Creature - Orc Shaman {M} T: Gain control of target creature until end of turn. Untap that creature. It gains haste until end of turn. T: Target opponent reveals his or her hand. ImpoundWU

Return target creature to its owner's hand. Until the end of its controller's next turn, spells with the same name as that creature can't be cast. "This apparatus is in violation of our laws and will be confiscated until further notice."
By the time you cast Valukar, I doubt your opponent would have anything in their hands, and so the second ability is useless. I don't mind simply having a Threaten on a stick as a legendary creature, but I can't say I'm wowed.
Impound, on the other hand, seems awesome to me. It can seriously cause headache to an opponent, and it's one of those simple yet beautiful designs I definitely want to have a chance to play.

Wrong wording on the Alpha. should be "when Ambermane Alpha enters the battlefield, if you were dealt damage since your last end step...". As long as you're not playing against a goldfish, that trigger would always happen, so you might as well lose the trigger completely and have a cleaner card.
Glacier madness is removal plus Coercion for only one more mana. Too strong, and can be unforgiving in limited.
Eventide Sojouner
The spell is good, but the spider is way too good in limited, even at uncommon.
Egak
The toymaker is pretty cool, and seems like a tutor that won't be too degenerate. The spell is really overcomplicated though, and could probably be formatted much better.
Eskimo_Rage
Both cards a quite solid.
Ink-Treader
I really like both cards. The spell is a nice take on white removal.
drawdagreek

True, nobody legally owns the Frostpeak Mountains. But the Ambermane packs that prowl in it's high peaks still consider it trespassing if you so much as set a toe on it's slopes.

Pyrebolt: Snapcast is interesting.
Defender's Stratagem: I think this is too complicated to be a common.
Possum to Predator: Green rarely gets to untap creatures these days. May this should be GW.
Soul's Resurgence: A restricted Swords to Plowshares? Still undercosted, imo.
Icicle Talons: It's kind of pointless to tap the creature.
Frozen Fire: I can see this actually being printed.

The mammoth is too bland for my tastes.
Counterspell is a bit too forgettable as well.
Raikou Rider
Impound is OK but I wanted something to get rid of this guy not delay him.

These seem fair. I like the Yeti's ability a lot! I do kind of wish that it were templated like Rootwalla so that you could use it as removal and then still attack with it, though.
I like the Yeti because of how much I like Wall of Tears. The low power is a sensible balance for its powerful removal ability.
I'm not sure that I like Frostbite because of the high handling time of Flurry. The multisnow mana cost is kind of clunky as well.
I like your whelp design, but I think I'd like it better without the trample option! It seems weird, flavor-wise, for a creature so little. Also it's awkward that it references a Weird in its name.
Thermal Trap is pretty solid.
I wish there were a cleaner way to express what you were doing with Avalanche Banshee. I see what's happening; it's just very wordy and that's unfortunate. Cool design though.
Blizzard Snare is super cute.
Ambermane Alpha is a nice surprise. I like it without reservation.
Glacier Madness is pretty strong! It should probably have "choose target creature" at the beginning. As written it's not clear when you choose targets for the spell. I like it too.

aftermarketradio: Octopus Tyrant and Covered in Bugs - Maybe let the Tyrant turn tangle counters back into +1/+1 counters?
Ixias: Frostpeak Kurba and Survival Instincts - I love both cards.
MagicProfessor28: Sesybdis of Icy Depths and Frostbite - Frostbite can probably cost 1BB.
Rudyard: Hunting Yeti and Defensive Reinforcement - I love the Reinforcement.
wantonwizard: Frostfield Cannibal and Just Deserts - Deserts is missing an "until end of turn".
AmShegar: Snow Leopardodon and Surprising Agility - How does Agility deal with the Leopardodon?

1.)Ixias
Interesting dragon. It's abilities seem fair. Rust Cloud is a neat piece of removal. Not sure why it needs to be choose one or both (except for odd occasions where they have a flying creature or artifact that benefits you.)
The cat seems nice. Seems like it might make a better uncommon, but I grant it's not terribly complex.
Survival Instincts seems fair. Kind of bland, but this is a fight spell that I'm sure will happen in the future.
Sesybdis seems brutally oppressive. Granted, a 10-drop should be powerful, but I wonder if it should cause that land not to untap during its controller's 'next' untap step. Frostbite's flavor feels a bit off. Surely there should be some reference to snow in there...
I like the yeti. Simple and effective. Defensive Reinforcement is strong, but not disgusting so like a certain cousin of it...
I think the cannibal thinks he's delicious. It's just a Doomgape with a smaller cost and a lower P/T though. I think intimidate would of done a fine job of helping him stand out a little.
Just Deserts might need to cost a little bit more, but it's otherwise fine.

Great job.

The creature is solid, but the spell is way out of color pie. Destroy target creature should never be on a mono-green card.
