Artifact Creature - Golem Wizard (R)
Whenever a player casts a spell from his or her hand, exile it with one time counter on it. If it doesn't have suspend, it gains suspend. “Time stops for no man. I am no man.”
3/3
It was at that moment that I realized: I'm kinda just making these things up. We can just write the rules the way we want them to work. People will have fun, and people will get it.
Some facts of magic:
-Terror is an emotion which, when experienced, results in death.
-The pox was a disease notorious for having killed one-third, rounded up, of Europe’s population. Smallpox, on the other hand, killed only a single person.
-A person riding a horse cannot be stopped by foot soldiers, large animals, walls, archers, or even catapults.
This card I feel too powerful to be a 3/3 for 4 without color requirements. I mean, I read there a "spells can't be countered" clause among others that I don't come to think about now (such as: nothing can be done to deal with anything until next turn?). That's a pretty big deal.
Anyway, besides power level (I'd make it a 2/2), absolutely love the design. As it has been said, complex, deep, and cool. Awesome flavor text too.
I like it, seems bonkers in storm.
"Gonna suspend all my stuff until next turn and go off twice as much!" I'd like to be able to play test how well that works.
I am absolutely in love with the complexity of this card. Awesome YMTC.
Honestly I think it's quite the contrary, I think it's quite simplistic. another Lodestone Golem slows you're opponents spells all down by a turn and still has a usable body.

Doesn't this practically neutralize Instants? Try to counter/negate/bounce something, it may fizzle by the time the next turn comes about. Want to save one of your creatures with a Giant Growth? The fight occurred a turn ago.
I don't think I'd care for a card that essentially makes an a significant portion of an entire card type moot. Perhaps if it stipulated permanents rather than spells.

Countering wouldn't be hard because the spell you are countering wouldn't resolve until next turn anyway. It does completely negate combat tricks though.
I think you're confused. This means it's impossible to resolve spells except during your upkeep. So counterspells are completely dead cards.

So broken I can't even like it. Should probably cost like 6+. You guys have really jumped the shark with this one. I mean this comes down you just cast Time Walk. Think about it, yep, I'm right.
I think you guys fell in the trap where you designed it for one function not realizing it enables a lot more. Every time I think about this card the more ways I break it. Should at least be mythic, but it's also not printable in its current form.
Oh, and then why is it a 3/3? So, it can attack too? Slots into everything except control and allows aggro to just win out of nowhere, especially on the play. I don't even want to know what it would do to Vintage and Legacy.
I have to say though it is an awesome design, with good art, excellent flavor, and a great name just horribly undercosted.
Here's a fun one, This + Eon Hub. Congrats, you just broke the game, I mean literally broke it. lol

Yea the card is "broken" with a lot of stuff and even if it isnt broken, you get a pretty solid creature.
Its way more "hardlock" then a Lodestone Golem.
Most important, if the card is ever played, its ridiculous unfun, it slows the game and as said totally hoses a bunch of spells on its own ; if it has a hardlock the game simply comes down to "now you cant play spells anymore" ; so activated abilities would be king and especially important (which normally nobody plays in large enough numbers).
The card certainly should have a cost to keep it around, or a way for the opponent to remove it.
Even if its this:
0: Exile this creature. Skip your next turn. Any player may activate this ability.
This way you would need additional stuff like a Pithing Needle to construct a hardlock, otherwise the opponent can at least remove it, even for a high cost of a timewalk.
Whatever it is, the cards idea to delay spells is nice, but its execution if just to unfun with the interactions it offers.
Eowyn in a robot suit?
This card should have been mythic to match the power level which is absurdly high. I think it would be thematically better as a 2/4 as well.
How exactly? I throw out murder, you throw out counterspell, both get suspended. Next upkeep they both resolve, counterspell targeting murder. How does that not work?
Because Murder will resolve on your upkeep, whereas Counterspell will resolve on my upkeep...
The ability is interesting, but perhaps a bit too powerful at a 4 cost, especially attached to a 3/3 body. I'm guessing WotC would put this on a blue enchantment costing 3UU or more.

Even if suspend would work on the same turn, they would resolve after each other, you cant have a suspended counterspell even resolving without any other spell it could target (which is pretty much impossible to do, as it requires that a trigger that waits to resolve has a spell behind it on the stack).
If more of the people posting here now had taken part in the creation threads it probably would've turned out better. At least the horrible flavor text, I would hope.
I really don't think this card is broken. There are better combos; it's effect is symmetrical; and they printed a LAND that hoses counterspells. More likely than not this is a Silence that gets killed after the opponent doesn't cast spells for a turn.

I disagree with people saying this card is way overpowered. I agree that it should probably have been a 2/2 or 2/3 (and only that because it is an artifact, if this was colored it would be fine), but the people saying the effect is absurd are either overreacting or just biased.
The effect is strong, and it does hose counter spells and tricks, but so does Teferi, which is not symmetrical, has flash, gives you another advantage and is a 3/4 (which is a fairly large gain for 1 manna and a color commitment). You can get similar levels of instant hosing with a Xantid Swarm or a Grand Abolisher, for much less mana (though they too have color requirements and smaller bodies, but no symmetry). Further a comb deck would likely rather spend 1 manna to get this effect for 1 turn, since they only need 1 turn to win anyway (and would loose huge tempo if they waited till 4 manna and got their protection countered or killed via an instant that resolves on the opponent's upkeep).
In the end I think Wizards could print this as a 2/3 for 4 easily, if they wanted an effect like this pushed. They may decide the effect is unfun and relegate it to a more casual fun card (maybe a blue enchantment), or they may decide this release valve is needed if control of flash temp decks are too strong.

I feel the same way; great card, but a bit too much power/toughness for the colorless CC. 2/2 is more fair, though I'd be OK with 3/2, 2/3, or even 1/4.

Grand Abolisher? Voice of Resurgence? They've nerfed instants for much cheaper costs. The golem is not broken.
