And the winner of the Feature Card Contest of May 2006 is Lesurgo, with this card!
Thought LinkUBRG
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant permanent you control
Play with the top card of your library revealed.
As long as the top card of your library is an artifact, creature, enchantment or land card, enchanted permanent is a copy of that card.
Sacrifice enchanted permanent: Remove the top card of your library from the game. If it's an instant or sorcery card, put a copy of it onto the stack.
This card shows perfectly what happens when you let people design 4-color cards (yes WotC, I'm looking at you too...).
This card, aside from balancing of course, could be just mono blue (copying permanents? Yep. Instant/Sorceries? Thats blue!)
Then the card would cause ten thousand-and a half rules questions, starting from simple "does this card trigger comes into play things"-questions to "This is a Chains of Mephistoteles, I have another Mephitoteles in play, an opalsence in play, the 2nd top card of my library is Humility and the next is Takklemaggot. I play Ancestral Recall targeting myself. What happens?"-Questions
Then there's the fact that it just doesn't work ("Here, its decree of silence." "But that wasn't on top of your library!" "Prove it!" "Reveal it and I'll show you" "Why should I reveal my library to you?" "Its written on the card!" "Its not card anymore, its a decree of silence!" *brawl*)
In short, this card is way too complex. And too long anyway.
...
HOWEVER, it seems to be enough to win a 4-color FFA. Grats Lesurgo for winning, but I surely wont gratulate you for your "great card"
Edit: Oh, and I nearly forgot it - yes, its very creative, but its even more freaky creativity that should be found on 8-mana red sorceries - In two words: Too much
"This is a Chains of Mephistoteles, I have another Mephitoteles in play, an opalsence in play, the 2nd top card of my library is Humility and the next is Takklemaggot. I play Ancestral Recall targeting myself. What happens?"
Simple. The card under Takklemaggot is the one flipped over for this ability.
I don't understand what you are trying to say here. The top card of your library is face up as long as this card is in play, so there should never be any kind of confusion like this.

Agreed, I could also see this as :symru:, the top card reminds me of Yet Another Æther Vortex. But, if it won, maybe I'm just a little misguided. None the less, great card and congratulations.
Congrats on a great card Lesurgo. You won with a unanimous decision by the judges of best 4th round card (well...you and Elemental tied on Shadowfox's judging, but close enough).
I give you a 22.5/25...what I had before, plus that point I gave back for the flavor text over on the rules discussion thread.

Wait, you're right. I thought it would work else, it doesnt matter how I thought, because I was wrong
Still, I think that let people create 4-color things is not the way to go. They become either a.) too complex, b.) not really 4-colored, but more mono-colored, or c.) become just a charm-like card with X different effects.
The card as it is is fine for a 4-colored card, but it has still a bit "meh"-factors (Rule issues, especially with auras and such; and length).
But funny nonetheless. I would say that it is not very playable, because it is 4-colored and luck based (or needs help from other cards), but I don't, because, you know, we're talking about Nephilim casting costs...

Sometimes those with the most sin cast the first stones.
What happens if I Thought Link some random permanent I own, and then Thought Link my Thought Link?
The first Thought Link will lose its abilities so its enchanted permanent will have to revert back. Then that Thought Link might not even be an Aura any more and become unattached...
... Yeah, needless colours are present. Ten out of ten for creativity though.

If the top card of your library is and Aura, well then both go to the grave because the Aura wouldn't be attached to anything. Of course, who plays auras anyhow, with a couple noteworthy exceptions?
It is interesting and with all the Shock Lands it could be playable. Imagine, Using Sensei's Divining Top with this, Or Telling Time, your land can easily turn into Yosei, Kokusho, Simic Sky Swallower, etc.. or a land can turn into Jitte or into Sunforger etc... It can even turn basic lands into Urza lands or Karoo's.
Man, I hate the way Sensei's Top is the most powerful library manipulator in t2 and possibly a ways back; yet Blue's such options continue to remain at Telling Time status.
And this card, the problem with this card, is that if it reveals another Thought Link, the enchantee and the Link are sent to the grave by SBEs. Shame.
Once again, awesome card though. A mechanic like that should eventually show up in paper Magic. It's nothing that hasn't been done before (top of the library for information; permanents becoming copies of things while in play; Auras doing things to the enchanted object <- this one's quite a tradition, lol)

Well, one thing it does that has (barely) been done before is have an Aura change the card type of what it enchants.
Is it within the rules to copy something that's been removed from the game, though? I'm pretty sure you would need to actually play the spell you remove, if you go that route.
What?! Look at the initial post; he is dead. Deceased. Kaputt. Indefinitely horizontal. In mafia games, you see, people are occasionally "killed off," and when that sad event occurs, he or she is no longer allowed to post, on account of rigor mortis and what-have-you.
'Welcome to Mafia Salvation', it said, 'Population: 3,660.' And someone, they never figured out who, had painted on the sign in red letters: '1,831 to lynch.'
Thought Link2UUU
Enchantment
Play with the top card of your library revealed.
As long as the top card of your library is an artifact, creature, enchantment or land card, Thought Link is a copy of that card but retains its abilities.
Sacrifice Thought Link: Remove the top card of your library from the game. If it's an instant or sorcery, you may play it this turn without paying it's mana cost.
The card doesn't work without the clause shown in bold text, like Darkever's suggestion.

Lastly, wouldnt gaining the top card's ability remove the sacrifice ability?
Either way, congrats. I have no room to point out flaws in winner's cards, as my card chose permanents from revealed cards from my deck. ><

It includes Auras. It was a design decision to make it die when a Aura is revealed.
Yes. However, the top card isn't a sorcery or instant as long as its transformed, so you wouldn't get anything out of the sacrifice effect anyways.
