Welcome to the Card Creation League! Everyone is free to participate in either or both of the first two rounds. Come join us!
Theme
As is CCL tradition, December is winter celebrations month. Unfortunately, the schedule has slipped to the point we'll run at least a week into the new year, but that gives us opportunity for a new challenge!
PLEASE NOTE: This month will NO LONGER use the "mandatory top 3" rule. Critiques and top 3s will each be worth one bonus point per round but it will be possible to score points and advance even without submitting a top 3. This will also be done on a trial basis; future months may once again require top 3s from contestants.
This month's schedule has been slightly modified owing to its late start. Your submissions are due Monday, December 31st, 23:59 EST.
Aeonic Tempest6UUU
Sorcery {M}
Target player shuffles their hand, graveyard, and all non-land permanents they own into their library, then draws seven cards. Exile Aeonic Tempest
Overload 4UU(You may cast this spell for its overload cost. If you do, change its text by replacing all instances of “target” with “each”.)
Borrowed Time2RR
Sorcery (Mythic Rare)
Take an extra turn after this one. At the beginning of that turn's end step, skip your next turn. Exile Borrowed Time. Time always collects its due.
Spacetime Replicator7
Legendary Artifact {M}
Creatures you control have vigilance.
At the beginning of your first upkeep each turn, choose upkeep step, draw step, combat phase, or end step. After the first instance of that step or phase this turn, there is an additional step or phase of the same kind.
Ladson, Mystic ClockmakerWU
Creature - Human Wizard Artificer (r) T: Put a time counter on Ladson, Mystic Clockmaker. T, Return Ladson to its owner's hand: Target player takes X additional upkeeps after his or her next upkeep, where X is equal to the number of time counters on Ladson.

Borrowed Time2RR
Sorcery (Mythic Rare)
Take an extra turn after this one. At the beginning of that turn's end step, skip your next turn. Exile Borrowed Time. Time always collects its due.Magosi, the Waterveil kinda put the moving your turn order around into blue's corner (which was an easy move as blue already gets the extra turns shtick) but I like red getting a slice of it with the order flipped but at the higher cost (as you did here) good work, it feels like a natural progression from FinalFoRtUnE
Spacetime Replicator7
Legendary Artifact {M}
Creatures you control have vigilance.
At the beginning of your first upkeep each turn, choose upkeep step, draw step, combat phase, or end step. After the first instance of that step or phase this turn, there is an additional step or phase of the same kind.This feels a bit like an inverse, and one sided, Fatespinner effect. I understand why the vigilance clause is there, but it really feels out of place. This would feel a lot cooler if it were symmetrical.
1/3This seems to be missing the legendary supertype. Ladson probably fills in as an accelerant for many, many combos out there, but doesn't really do much on his own, but that's fine for a two mana presumably legend. Cards like this make me wish there was a haste, but only for tap abilities, or that it were more acceptable to put haste and defender on these kinds of creatures.
This is an strong card and a very interesting use of Overload. It's particularly hard to evaluate as the only cards that have a similar effect are The Great Aurora and Sway of the Stars as they also shuffle the board in, both mana cards but also symmetrical ones which this card is offering at 6 mana, which I would say is probably undercosted (Had this not shuffled in nonland permanents I reckon the overload cost would be fine and the casting cost a bit too high). At six mana too good a board wipe/reset despite not shuffling lands in, but I'm a big fan of the design and it's an interesting push for Overload.
I like this design, it's a simple design and one that'll probably exist at some point down the design line. Creatures having vigilance is understandable, but ruins the flavour a little, I would have much preferred something along the lines of "When you take an additional combat phase this way, untap all creatures that attacked this turn" clause instead.
It's an interesting choice of design and my inner commander brewer is trying to figure out the best way to abuse this, Mists of Stagnation and Sands of Time spring to mind and that's just to use the Commander. The fact that you can give your opponents extra upkeeps expands the design pretty well as well. Good job!
Cardz5000: This is really hard to evaluate for me. I do like the use of overload as a "drawback" here. Feels like a fair version of Cyclonic Rift. I don't think it's good enough for competitive formats but man would this be a blue Commander staple.
Subject16: A Final Fortune variant that doesn't cause an immediate loss. I think this is fair, given that Chance for Glory and similar effects have seen no play.
Hemlock: This looks really silly in any kind of deck that can manipulate the counters. I played around with the idea of granting extra steps as well but your design looks a lot cleaner.

Private Mod Note
():
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
Cardz5000: Tbis is a rather atraightforward reset spell and the overload use here is very clever.
Subject16: I think that as a extra turn/Drawback tu his is very good and fit for red.
RaikouRaider: An extra combat phase demands some kind of clause to deal with multiple attavks, and it looks odd. An.extra strp of your vhoice can be very porwerful.
