RaikouRider: Excellent uses of flavor references to established dryads in red. Feeding off the presence of lands feels properly dryad-ish. Well excected, but not striking new design ground by any means.
void_nothing: Far-Lash Kraken: Kraken are large and generally viewed as primal forces of nature, so they fit perfectly well into green, and I could totally see them there in a largely aquatic set. A toughness pumping effect instead of a naturally high toughness feels wierd for a kraken to me, though.
FreshMeat: I can totally see blue Gorgons built around -X/-0 effects, so that's out of the ballpark. The second ability feels like it is more complex than it needs to be, especially delaying to the end of combat instead of just triggering right away, since that's restrictive enough that it wouldn't be unfair.
Hemlock: Red pegasi don't strike me at first as the best fit, but I can absolutely see it. This is already a very solid card without the ascend ability, and that carries it over the top for a rare. Unless the other staple cards of that archtype sucked, I wouldn't want to face the limited environment built around that.
IcariiFA: Efreet bleeding into black fits perfectly. Fits the role of an uncommon that encourages you into an archtype, as it's very strong without being an outright bomb. Flavor works quite well.
MahBoiii: White is new for Gorgons, but the original Greek trio of them were noble goddesses before they became corrupt, so I can see it. The flavor of a Gorgon that turns its victims into mobile statues serving it is carried out pretty well for the most part, though I would have liked to have seen an extra creature like like Wizard to help justify it as a magical art. Really should be rare.
willows: Moonfolk into green is a fairly believable choice, as while they are very scholarly they pursue it in a very organic way, although their natural flying might be a bit of an issue. The ability is hard to get a bead on power level wise, but seems reasonable and is certainly unique.
Yuejing Alchemist
Creature — Moonfolk Cleric {R}
Flying
When Yuejing Alchemist enters the battlefield, put a +1/+1 counter on another target creature you control.
If you would put a +1/+1 counter on a creature, you may put a divinity counter on it instead. For as long as it has a divinity counter on it, it has indestructible.
1/1
Flavor:
Moonfolk is a wide open type having only been seen in the Kamigawa block and so is ripe with potential to be written in a new direction for the next visit there. Moving this in the green direction would seem to suggest a Moonfolk society more in tune with the spirit world than the Soratami and that's totally plausible.
Mechanics:
So first things first, this was designed as a rare so not sure that it's still able to satisfy the challenge. This card seems very tough to place. I understand and can appreciate the connection to the Myojin that's being shown here, however I can't shake the feeling that this mechanic is completely busted as is. The fact that the card triggers itself and that the effect to permanently grant indestructibility generally costs upwards of 5 mana makes me scared of this guy's power level without any additional downsides. An added clause of "When Yuejing Alchemist leaves the battlefield, remove all divinity counters from all creatures you control" would make this a much safer card and would even leave some more space to buff its defensive capabilities a bit.
Goblin Soulraiser
Creature — Goblin Cleric (R)
First strike
Whenever Goblin Soulraiser attacks, return up to one target Goblin creature card with converted mana cost equal to or less than Goblin Soulraiser's power from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped and and attacking. Exile that creature at the beginning of the next end step.
3/2
Flavor:
While white goblins aren't completely new, they're still relatively unexplored so that's fine. Boros is quite right for an aggressive goblin feel and white gives them access to better weapons (first/double strike, fatter butts, vigilance). Hell, combat tactics/tricks maybe even?! I do have to point out the questionable choice of making this a secondary type Cleric however; First Strike and a bigger power than toughness just don't feel right on a cleric (without meaningful lore justification).
Mechanics:
So first things first, this was designed as a rare so not sure that it's still able to satisfy the challenge. That said, I really dig this card as is and seems just like what an aggro Boros deck would want around turn 3. Giving some recursion of weaker creatures that have been picked off, plus having first strike as its own defense is really efficient and very on color and theme.
Lightborn Watchmage1WU
Creature - Moonfolk Wizard {U}
Flying
Exhaust two lands you control: Untap target creature. Prevent all combat damage that would be dealt to that creature this turn. (To exhaust a land, tap it. It doesn’t untap during your next untap step)
1/3
Flavor:
Same thing I said for willow applies here; Moonfolk is a wide open type having only been seen in the Kamigawa block and so is ripe with potential to be written in a new direction for the next visit there. White is a sensible color to pair with blue and evokes a studious wizardy feel. Given the effect of its ability, I might even suggest adding cleric onto its types. Also nice tie-in to Moonfolks' abilities messing with your lands with a new spin on it.
Mechanics:
I'm definitely a fan of the Maze of Ith effect, doubly so in Azorius, though this is notably a bit different. I think you may need to up the cost to activate this; I imagine if Exhaust works anything like Exert then you'd be able to Exhaust 2 already tapped lands. That just seems too cheap given the tricks you could pull off with this effect (untapping things can get out of hand quickly). Hell, alternatively just removing the untap part completely would likely balance the effect out. In the end though, the card's concept is really sweet and would definitely be effective at what it wants to do.
Gibli-Circus PranksterUR
Creature - Faerie Rogue (Uncommon)
Trick (When this creature enters the battlefield, you may exile a card from your hand face-down.)
Flying
Flip target face-down card you own in exile: Change the target of target spell if it has the same converted mana cost as the flipped card.
1/3
Flavor:
Faeries are a fine choice with Dimir generally being their only colors (with a small stint in green in the vintage years). Red feels very right with them being agents of chaos and trickery.
Mechanics:
I like the core concept behind the card and very much suites a faerie. I think that the wording of the ability may need tweaking so its more clear what "Flipping" means or what specific cards are allowed to be "Flipped".
Ashen Treefolk
Creature - Treefolk {U}
Trample.
Mountain Terrain 2 (As long as you control two or more Mountains, this creature power is equal to its toughness)
1/3
Flavor:
Treefolk are predominantly green, but have had stints in both black and white as well, so this type isn't as open as a lot of others out there. Red as a secondary color is tough I feel for Treefolk and would need a lot of backstory written in order to justify and explain how they exist/came to be (petrified forests?, ever-burning trees?).
Mechanics:
The creature is pretty straightforward enough it seems. Mountain Terrain seems interesting, but likely doesn't need to be a keyword as the effect wouldn't be likely to go on many creatures. Cool that it can combo with +0/+X effects to make it even more powerful.
Yria ThiefWU
Creature - Fox Rogue (U)
Prowess, Skulk (This creature can’t be blocked by creatures with greater power.)
Whenever Yria Thief deal combat damage to a player you may draw a card. Underestimating is the last thing you want.
0/2
Flavor:
Similar to the Moonfolk I looked at above, Foxes have really only been explored in Kamigawa and so have a good bit of potential. Blue is definitely a sensible color and generally pairs with white quite well. Generally I associate the Azorius pairing with a more studious or guardian mentality, so I'm not 100% sold on the idea of a rogue thief. However if this angle were explored, then this does seem to beg the ninja typing to be used, with foxes currently being focused in Kamigawa. Nothing that couldn't be explained with some new lore, or a new plane altogether though. Still, does feel like a tad bit of flavor-fail :(.
Mechanics:
I like this card and could see it being used happily in some evasiony/controlly decks. While definitely not game-changing or deck-shaping, you'll likely be able to draw at least one card off of it if you find your deck has enough spells to run it. Good to note that the abilities match the colors perfectly.
Ashen TreefolkRG
Creature - Treefolk {U}
Trample.
Mountain Terrain 2 (As long as you control two or more Mountains, this creature power is equal to its toughness)
1/3
Mountain Terrain X (As long as you control X or more Mountains, this creature power is equal to its toughness)
Red treefolk makes sense more then white and less then black. I imagine it as a savage kind of treefolks that draw their power via flames. The Terrain mechanic is interesting but I don't know how much design space it has. All in all, pretty solid.
Yria ThiefWU
Creature - Fox Rogue (U)
Prowess, Skulk (This creature can’t be blocked by creatures with greater power.)
Whenever Yria Thief deal combat damage to a player you may draw a card. Underestimating is the last thing you want.

Art by
Foxes in blue makes perfect sense as a sneaky, non-flying and mystery tribe. Your card as a nice combo of sneaky keywords and the whole package makes something pretty impressive and an interesting tension. Prowess + Skulk + 0 power + abiliy that makes your opponent want to block it - perfect, flavorful, fresh.
Lawmage Defector1RW
Creature - Human Rebel (U)
Whenever Lawmage Defector attacks, exile target creature defending player controls. Return it to the battlefield under its owner's control at the beginning of the next end step. Some of the most impassioned resisters were those who had seen the injustices of the Chrysaline Court from within.
3/2
When I first read the challange, Red Rebels is the first thing that came into my mind. Nice! Red rebels makes perfect sense and I'm amazed that Wizard didn't made ones before as red is the most emotional color. Your card feels mono white though, and I would have liked to see what red can bring into the mix. Flavor is spot-on, and there is a lot of design space that you could have exploredl
Dwarven Gardener1RG
Creature - Dwarf (U)
Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, if it's the second land you had enter the battlefield this turn, destroy target land.
2/2 Nature makes the best fertilizer
Dwarven Gardener1RG
Creature - Dwarf (U)
Whenever a land enters the battlefield under your control, if it's the second land you had enter the battlefield this turn, destroy target land.
2/2 Nature makes the best fertilizer
Green makes sense of Dwarfs. However, your card is broken in helf. It is an efficient land destruction on a stick as an uncommon. Any fetch land turn this card into a busted LD mechine and I don't think this card makes sense as a whole package.
Flameshaper's DoubleUR
Creature - Illusion Wizard(U)
Flash
When Flameshaper's Double enters the battlefield, you may copy target instant or sorcery spell with converted mana cost 2 or less. You may choose new targets for the copy. "And I thought one pyromancer was bad."
- Hadrik, Ilawan Guardsman
1/1
Red Illusions makes perfect sense. The ability is nice, but coping spells is a rare territory. It might be fine as an uncommon becouse it doesn't copy just any spell though. My issue with this card is that it doesn't feel very Illusion-y. It could have been a human just fine. Red Illusions may have their own identity and I would like to see it.
Burnwillow DryadRG
Creature - Dryad {U}
Burnwillow Dryad gets +1/+1 and has trample as long as you control a basic Forest.
Burnwillow Dryad gets +1/+1 and has haste as long as you control a basic Mountain. 2/1
Red Dryad makes sense as red can be a nature color too. Dryad that cares about basic lands makes perfect sense, and your card is very strong but not busted. Fits the uncommon rarity pretty well. All in all, classic package but nothing extraordinary.
JimmyGroove - I like the effect, and this seems so fun in the right deck. I do have to knock some points for color, as Cromat is a red illusion.
RaikouRider - This is pretty good, and I like the focus on Basics. A turn two 4/3 Trample Haste might be a bit pushed.
void_nothing - This feels okay, but it could use more 'Green'-ness in my mind. Maybe a green activated ability as well?
FreshMeat - And this one feels fine for Blue/Black, but I'm not sure I get a real Gorgon-esque flavor for the abilities. Also, color hit for Damia, Sage of Stone
Hemlock - This feels pretty production ready. Great!
IcariiFA - Strong overall. This kind of ability holds a nice spot in my heart, but the combo-tastic part of my brain definitely wants to be able to hit creatures. Also, have to hit you for Junún Efreet (who knew?!)
FreshMeat - Super clever design. A very keen Chinese-menu card with internal synergy, and Gorgons make sense secondary in blue.
Hemlock - This is basically a Storm Fleet Swashbuckler-plus. Pegasi on Ixalan doesn't feel quite right, especially since the "unnatural" mammals on the plane are in service to Aclazotz/black mana.
IcariiFA - This feels like cheating a little, since Efreets were black from the get-go, but I'll allow it. The triggered ability is really strong but requires work to really get going, and the body is weak for its cost at first, so this is probably fine in balance. Love the flavor, too.
MahBoiiii - Really snazzy. Not sure if this is too efficient, given the vigilance and the big toughness, but does feel like a logical expansion of Gorgons into white.
willows - Interesting counter-alteration ability, one I think I've done almost word for word on a card a long time ago. Flavor disconnect here seeing as yuejing is a concept from Chinese alchemy and Moonfolk are from Kamigawa, although I guess the Rabbit-in-the-Moon thing is pan-Asian? Anyhow, the only blue thing about the abilities is the flying, and this is also rare and not uncommon.
Flatline - This feels like a riff on Alesha, Who Smiles at Death, and at the same time rather generic, like a core-set-multicolor card. I'm not really feeling the Goblininess of this card, other than the fact that Goblins are a strong tribe of small creatures. Also, again, rare and not uncommon.
I didn't want to skip out because I'm dropping, so I wrote these up post haste....
Cardz5000 - I don't think moonfolk fit the challenge very well (they just don't have enough of an identity established), but the card seems ok.
netn10 - I'm not sure I like trick. Exiling a card from your hand is a pretty steep cost. The card seems reasonable enough.
|Katamari| - I can dig some red Treefolk. Terrain seems like an interesting idea. The card seems ok. Maybe a little underpowered.
mirrodin71 - This could easily just be blue. I don't think fox was a great choice for the challenge. They just don't have enough of an identity established.
Gerrard's Mom - I'm not sure this needs red in it at all. I suppose it's kinda "Target creature can't block this turn", but blinking is white or blue, and that's what this is doing. Rebels certainly don't need red to do it at least.
The Dr.B - Whah!?!?! This is way too much land destruction for Modern. It turns all of your fetches into Stone Rain.

void_nothing: Shifting Kraken (and sea creatures in general) to green makes some sense because of Kiora's color identity. Card itself seems like a nuisance in Limited, but not enough to warp a format. Solid pick.
FreshMeat: Gorgons in blue is a great idea. The first ability captures the flavor of the tribe well, but is there a reason these abilities don't trigger on blocking also? Seems like they could while not making the care too strong for its rarity.
Hemlock: Red is not a bad choice, but you could put Pegasus creatures in any color combination that includes white, I could see a white-centered foir color cycle with this. Far as the card itself goes, this is definitely a constructed uncommon - it's pushed but not overly so to the point where it would warp Limited.
IcariiFA: Kind of wondered why efreeti weren't black to begin with. Seems like a natural fit to me. Nothing terribly innovative on the care but won't break anything either.
MahBoiii: Absolutely oozing with flavor. I like that she makes stone soldiers out of your opponent's creatures.

A mere ten days after the Mending, a young knight of Valeron and a young ranger of Eos made a discovery that would change Alara forever.
MahBoiii: Cool idea, white associates with stone. Flavor text much desired. Solider type strange. Totally a rare. willows: Interesting concept, but needed to be uncommon. Wish there was more out there to care about divinity. Flatline: Boros goblins says this isn't really a stretch. Also a rare when asked for uncommon. Reminds me of Alesha. Cardz5000: Solid direction, design and flavor. netn10: Neat idea, but exile from hand feels really bad here. Change to exile a card from top 4 of library perhaps? Kinda narrow application. |Katamari|: Treefolk to me have been a tri colored thing since Lorwyn. Card is odd for a treefolk. Keyword is fine if a bit generic.
The card is fine if a little pushed, but I don't really feel the flavour of pegasi in red and making it an "elemental pegasus" feels like bending the challenge, since you're not really putting the tribe in another colour, you're making a one-off card which is both a red tribe and a white tribe.
The card isn't particularly exciting (though I'd slam this in just about any draft format) but I do enjoy efreets in black, there's definitely a trope of trickster genies that's coming through.
A fine card, though I wonder how much depth there is to BW gorgons as a lot of black and whites mechanical overlap doesn't really fit in with the flavour of gorgons.
Invalid entry due to rarity
Invalid entry due to rarity
I like Moonfolk in UW but I'm not the biggest fan of the card itself, it's hard to tell how powerful exhaust is as I've never played it but exert was quite good and this is a very strong ability, it makes blocking almost impossible and can be activated multiple times without having to dedicate this creature to the ability.

Flatline - This feels like a riff on Alesha, Who Smiles at Death, and at the same time rather generic, like a core-set-multicolor card. I'm not really feeling the Goblininess of this card, other than the fact that Goblins are a strong tribe of small creatures. Also, again, rare and not uncommon.

netn10 - I'm not sure I like trick.

I like that she makes stone soldiers out of your opponent's creatures.
willows: DQ because rarity.
