whitemage: I like your card (in the 5/12 thread), but I think it belongs in green as a card that switches in permanents, it should probably cost slightly more, and the wording is wrong.
I'd word it like this:
Reveal the top three cards of your library, you may choose a permanent card among them and sacrifice a permanent that shares a card type with that card. If you do, put that permanent card onto the battlefield. Otherwise, put the revealed cards back on top of your library in any order.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
I was thinking blue only because of scrying aspect and making it cost a little less because in general blue doesn't work with permanents as much making someone have to be slightly more creative to use it effectively. I like your wording, I was actually going to hop on edit it yesterday after thinking about it but the new poll was already up. It's a complicated card for sure and easy for someone to mess up the first time putting it together. Thanks

Re: my card today- split cards like Research//Development have a converted mana cost of 2 and 5, and are affected by cards that care about mana costs for both numbers - i.e. Bloodbraid Elf or any card with cascade. My card makes all cards be affected by cards such as Protean Hulk, depending on your choice of numbers (And a card can have more than 2 different converted mana costs, i.e. who/what/when/where/why).
It's easier to just use a wording fix for this card... and the sentence "When you cast this, destroy target permanent." would fix it quite nicely, because that has the same "doesn't get countered if the spell gets countered" effect.
Granted, it's still possible to Stifle that, but it doesn't create the absolute mess that costs with targets do. (It's not that trivial of a rules change to allow costs that target. Among other things, how do you handle triggered abilities of the form "When this becomes the target of a spell or ability, ..." with costs that target? Technically, that object has become the target of an ability - the static ability that specifies the additional cost.)
It's my wife's birthday today; I'm going to be away from the computer between about 12:30pm and 6pm Pacific, at the very least.
So... if someone would get today's thread up around 4 hours from now, that'd be greatly appreciated. (Note to gumOnShoe: if you do it, the multiquote button is that one that looks like . If it's orange, you've got the post quoted.)
@ MirrorEntity -- Hope you like my entry for today. I made the card up then when i was thinking of the name I was going to use your's but realized it was already an existing card, so changed it a bit.
I'm surprised nobody caught that BlackBull's card in today's poll (Metabolt) effectively is "Metabolt deals any even-numbered amount of damage to any number of target creatures, unless there's two or fewer creatures on the battlefield."
Tip: creatures won't die until the spell finishes resolving.
With one creature, it'll deal 2 damage to that creature.
With two creatures, it'll deal (2X) damage to one creature and (2X+2) damage to the other.
With three or more creatures, you can deal damage pretty much distributed as you choose as long as it's an even number dealt to each creature.
I have a few notes about cards from today as well:
dwaynedu's United Will will actually never reset until you lose all of your creatures. Meaning if you have 3 1/1 saprolings and cast a Verdant Force all of your creatures will be 7/7. Then, your opponent doom blades Verdant Force, but your saprolings are still 7/7 because United Will checks for the highest power and toughness without removing its own ability.
Also: does anyone know what happens if Kryptnyt's drunken bruiser fights a creature with wither? The replacement effect doesn't use the stack so there's no obvious order.

Manaplasm1G
Creature - Ooze (R)
As Manaplasm enters the battlefield, choose an opponent.
Manaplasm gets +1/+1 for each untapped land that opponent controls.
2/2
Yeah, maybe. I really have no idea how to balance this. I'm guessing that at 3 minutes it's either broken or unplayable.

Some fun things can happen - i.e. putting Searing Wind on Isochron Scepter or Panoptic Mirror, etc etc. On the other end, Blazing Shoal.

I know, it's hard to come up with decent spellbook type cards.
