The legend has really nice flavor, like REAL good. I'm just not sure what role he's supposed to fill. Did you have any cards in mind that he's intended to combo/synergize with?
Parallax Mutation? Naw I intended that to be black. Black gets a bit of the counter love, but they also get counter removal (Aether Snap is so cool), and I wanted to have both.
I'm confused: when did scoring start for April? Because the scores today don't include the scores from the April 1st votes (shown at the start of the April 2nd thread)
The scoreboard is meant to cover all cards submitted during the month in question.
The April 1st votes were on cards submitted on March 31st, and as such I rolled them into the March totals, where they belong. If you look at previous threads on the 2nd of the month, you'll notice they normally have a "(previous month) Final Standings" bit in a spoiler.
This would have happened on Wednesday as well, but I didn't have Internet access until almost 2pm, by which time the thread had already gone up. I apologize for the confusion.
Viability question: does Ink-Treader's card today actually work? Almost everyone else voted for his card but I wasn't convinced it was... yknow, a thing you could do.

Also just wanna say I've been really enjoying some of NVRBLND's designs but your landfall creature has the wrong text and needs to create token copies. The design is good but not the wording. Keep them up.
Due to how state-based actions work in Magic, I'm pretty sure this doesn't work and the proper way to word it is inelegant as hell. (State based actions are checked every time after a spell or ability fully resolves. When fighting, Master Duelist will indeed deal its damage first, but even if Master Duelist deals lethal damage, SBA's won't be checked at that point and that creature will still be there to deal its damage back.)
Here's how I would word it. It's strictly better than what you did because it ignores indestructible and regenerate, but I don't know a better solution:
If Master Duelist would fight a creature without first strike, and that creature's toughness is equal to or lower than Master Duelist's power, prevent all damage that would be dealt to Master Duelist in that fight.
I was going for a concept, a creature that retains its first strike in a fight as well as combat. Your version doesn't convey this concept at all, so I was not going to change even if it wasn't too late.
Unrelated: I could use some help with the wording on Barhall Brawl. Is it clear what I'm trying to do there?
Yeah, the wording on today's one is good. Curious about: is it intentional that you can keep sending your guys in to fight the same creature until it dies or you run out of repetitions?
Yes, it is. Any other way will be weird if your opponent has less creatures than you. Besides, there's no reason creatures can't team up on another creature during a big brawl.

Change the text of nonmana activated abilities of permanents controlled by enchanted player by adding "Any player may activate this ability." to them.

also, instead of exempting mana abilities, i'd suggest exempting abilities that have a T in the cost. maybe that's a perk you'd like to keep, but it might be good to avoid conflicts over priority.

what you mean it's a may ability? of course playing a creature is an option one may take. if you're saying the creature can be played not as a land drop, then why would you want to play it as a land drop? i'm concerned it might not be as clear to players as it could be, tho simple, evocative wordings like you have are worth trying for.
in any case your version requires new rules and terms, which i'm not against, but there it is. you are correct, the effect of my version isn't exactly the same, but how important is that really? it's important to help players of varying experience understand what's going on and minimize possible confusion and disagreement
by avoiding conflicts over priority i simply mean avoiding putting players into a position where they have to be thinking too much about the workings under the surface and little frustrations that can crop up between players.

When you play it as a land drop, it doesn't use the stack. Thus, it can't be countered and it won't cost you G. If say, on turn 4 you don't have a 4th land to play, you lose no value by going Boon Satyr into Warden, pass the turn.
this works differently than i thought in multiple ways. a lot of players probably won't understand how it's intended to work and will disagree with each other. needs to be spelled out better on the card or have clear reminder text at the very least
Why not simplify it to a Saytr Wayfinder ability from hand that can only be cast if you have not played a land this turn?
Huge amount of the same functionality without a lot of the rules shennanigans...
The risk of not hitting a land (very rare) balances the slight increase in versatility.
Doombringer, I think Pray's a really interesting ability. Is it an alternate casting ability though, or is today's submission just missing a mana cost?
Yup, also Zoombot you might want to pop a "with converted mana cost X" onto your card today. Also to you: what was Thought Skimmer before you edited it? I know it was a different card when I read it yesterday but I can't recall.
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
