Priest of Hooridan1R
Creature - Human Cleric (R)
Exile a card at random from your hand face down, T: ~ deals 3 damage divided as you choose among one, two, or three target creatures and/or players.
2/1
So obviously no one liked this, and I shouldn't be bitter about beaten by a vanilla creature but what didn't people like about it?
EDIT: Mainly looking for critique here before people think I'm moaning.
Looking for opinions on my card today. Not sure this type of effect should exist.
Definitely it shouldn't exist for a cheap mana cost. (anyway, you've got more votes than me with it :p)
@Antny: Hmm, it's too good. Also, exiling face down is too awkward for such small benefit (not giving information to your opponents.) It starts a turn earlier than Arc Lightning/FLames of the FIrebrand, and is repeatable...
Well my crazy broken idea (Substitute Automaton) didn't seem to get any love.
Basically turns a card in the opponents hand into a 2/2 at start of game.
Dunno if there is any way of balancing something like it. Ideas?

I had originally considered making it more but Peek looks at their hand for U and cantrips and Memoricide and other extraction effects get to look and do something for 4 mana... Maybe cost it UU? Or 1U? The effect is certainly powerful but the card effectively doesn't DO anything.
Oh, nevermind. On a second thought, I think it's just well costed. Perhaps the problem was the fact it's a "boring" card that, as you said, does "nothing". The thing is that I just forgot about Surgical Extraction wich, in fact, costs zero mana.
EDIT: Anyway, I still thinking that having access to an opponent's library shouldn't be attached to cheap cards (wich happens even in real cards, and probes that the information factor is undervalued.) The weird thing is that, while sticking such effect in a card that does anything else, it seems to powerful and gives this sensation of "this hasn't be done before, and probably for good reason" then you remember there are cards such as the extraction... (yes, you still needing to target something in a zone other than the battlefield, but in many scenarios, you'll be able to do it.)
Do you only vote on days in which you made a card?
In other words, if I started in DCC by making a card today, would I vote or not vote for the cards from the day before (where I didn't have a submission).
Well I can already ask myself "What the hell was I thinking?" Yeah... my card today really should of had a mana cost for activation somewhere in there...
Yeah, I figured a planeswalker wouldn't be popular, they hardly ever do well in the DCC. But I'm curious what people think of it if you're so inclined to answer.
Card posted yesterday: "Exchange your life total with the number of creatures you control."
Card posted today, meanwhile, turned out to unintentionally be a one-sided Vernal Bloom on a stick. I'll probably change its cost and maybe its toughness, but it's going to basically remain a wall otherwise.
Yeah, Denham - your card from yesterday seems like the sort of thing Soul Sisters wants as a finisher.
I can think of other decks that would enjoy it as well (Elvish Farmer + Mycelicon = "infinite life and/or creatures if you have more life than creatures to begin with", for example).
I made the Carrion Feeder's best friend in the world. It was originally Greater Gargadon's best pal but I made it creature instead of permanents because people seem to think the lifeloss doesn't offset how big it would get with fetch lands. You would be down SO much life though.
I am working on a new concept, but I can't figure out how to word it. How would you count unique groups of cards in a graveyard? For example:
Draw From Experience :5mana::symu:
Sorcery
Draw a card for each group of cards in your graveyard with a unique name.
So, if you have 1 Think Twice, 2 Islands, and a 3 Faithless Lootings in your graveyard, you would draw three cards. If you have 12 Relentless Rats in your graveyard, you would only draw one card.
Primal StrenghtG
Istant [C]
Target creature get +2+2 and trample until the end of turn.
Flashback - R
If even Reckless charge isn't enough, what about this as constructed playable creature pump?
Reckless charge is a great cube card in lower powered formats, but I had this thought too. I've had that thought so many times that I've also come up with incarnations of the same card you did and thrown it around the boards before. Everyone wants it to be either 1R or 1G as the flashback, but I like our version better!
Okay heres another bad idea: Bomb common for all your crappy rg pauper decks, your common cubes and your draft set. We're working overtime to make pump that works for you.
Crashing SurgeG
Instant (C)
Target creature gets +2/+2 and trample until end of turn baby.
Flashback R
I really like things that emphasize red's ability to loot and as a great flashback colour. Lets not forget countering two burn spells probably.
i've been thinking about Koopa's daily challenge contest idea
what i'm thinking is it could have three categories: design, development, and fulfillment of the current challenge.
each player's name would appear once in each category. if a player submits an entry they're required to vote once in each category.
a player may submit an iiw ("if i win" challenge) with their entry.
whoever posted an iiw and ranked highest in the challenge fulfillment category for the day, that player's iiw is the next day's challenge.
with three categories i want to keep the scoring as simple as possible, but should there be additional points for getting votes in multiple categories or something like that?

Edit: Also, eplkewell, the card you submitted is effectively Goblin Arsonist. I'm sorry I didn't notice it sooner to let you know. :c
That's OK, I should have noticed it myself. I was trying to make an updated Mogg Fanatic with the new combat rules (no damage going on the stack).
The current set I'm working on creating FallingStar.

Really should of made my Zealous Nightwing destroy target creature rather than sacrifice then given it wither or something for more synergy.
Anybody got a card they particularly liked this month?
So far Trash compactor has been one of my favorites.
