I really liked Rudyard's card today but the wording was atrocious.
To be honest, I never understand if I can pay 1 life to save me from revealing any cards, or do I have to pay 1 life for each card that I don't want to reveal.
Yeah, the proper wording would be: "For each card in his or her hand, target opponent may pay 1 life, otherwise, he or she reveals it. Choose a card among the revealed cards and that player discards it."
I'm calling it right now- worst rare in the set. Even good limited players will find better bombs at common and uncommon no sweat. Worst. Episode. Ever.
I really do predict this to be our worst rare in set award winner. I'd be happier opening a jar of eyeballs, so I think anything worse is highly unlikely. This card wont just have zero constructed potential, but not be significantly better than a mass of ghouls in a draft.
I'll pay one life to stop the entire process!
I also think that card isn't amazing given that you have such similar spells at 1cc and 2cc but I like the idea. I just think it wasn't really worded very well and wasn't pushed at all in a slot that tends to be good already.
I was also surprised to see A less splashable March of Souls make an appearance:
Journey to the Paradise2WW
Sorcery
Destroy all creatures. They can't be regenerated. For each creature destroyed this way, its controller puts a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying onto the battlefield.
Don't worry mate! It's a neat idea! That card should have never been 5 mana in the first place. I think you could probably even go lower with all the death triggers bumbling around these days.
like :sym2w::sym2w::sym2w: doesn't feel too crazy to me.
Nope, the wording "for each" means that you make a choice per card. If you pay 1 life for the first card that you want to 'protect' you still have to repeat the process for each card in your hand.

I like ManyCookies card today. Mainly because it's almost exactly the same as a card I made for the set I'm working on. My version cost 2BB and read "Whenever a creature enters the battlefield, it’s controller may exile it and return a creature from his or her graveyard to play."

I haven't really played since Onslaught block, so if I'm unaware of developments since then, I apologize in advance.
The current set I'm working on creating FallingStar.
Thank you eplkewell. Though for what it's worth, Koppa's card is a lot more interesting to me (I basically just started with "What hasn't Black paid for a reanimation effect" and went from there).
Violent Emergence GGWW
Sorcery (R)
Destroy all creatures, then put an X/X Elemental creature token onto the battlefield with power and toughness equal to the number of creatures destroyed this way.
Yeah a bunch of my earlier submissions were from revised versions of cards I made on brainburst over half a decade ago and I can't imagine anyone minding!
I was initially going to ride off my good designs over the past six months. That lasted about a week (I did win with most of them though!).
For Mindhoned Occulus, I wanted the first ability to be Grind from GtC, hence assuring you'd always mill a land for another activation. Card space was already at a premium though; if only Grind was the Dimir keyword. Ah well.
Hahhaha better than me! I've yet to win any! I don't really think my designs are people pleasers though and they've also been really heavily been based around cards I'd be curious about seeing in cubes I've played in or talked about lately too.
On the subject of the card though, I'd be a lot happier if Dimir was able to distance itself from awkward milling strategies or at least pick a stream between milling and graveyard matters and meek disruptive saboteur creatures. A couple of dig spells and solid answers and grindy card generators tend to appear either way but there just isn't a deck to be made out if it's mediocre pursuits so far these days. Let those traits flavour the wine that is dimir with graveyard matters and milling and extraction and disruption that procs on damage not be. With these ideas being the focus and not the flavor it now feels more like water than wine at this point!
I liked eplkewell's idea for today's card but as an enchantment it is broken thanks to the existence of Vampire Hexmage. It needs to be a sorcery without cost and suspend 5 - :symwb::symwb::symwb::symwb::symwb: that ends the game as it resolves.

Eldritch Exaction1UB
Instant (R)
Change the text of target instant or sorcery spell to "You sacrifice a creature and lose 2 life." (It has no other abilities.)

Sure. Hell, you technically can repost from past DCC entries, but you probably won't get votes for unoriginality.
