As many of the critiques are in, and the points are quite close, I would like to raise one issue. I had brought this up with MDenham, the current host, and he recommended that I bring it up in public.
As far as I can see, the only penalty of missing the judgments once is probation. Although a second probation drops the player, any late submission of top 3s/judgments still give the player the extra points. Given what some of us go through to do the judging on time, allowing points to be given after a judging deadline demeans the dedication of people who do everything possible to turn it in on time, and makes the deadline meaningless for the ending rounds.
Yes, it's 2 points, but that still amounts to an extra second place finish in one of the judgments, and can make all the difference in cases such as this month when the scores are so close.
Is this what you meant to say? In the past, I have counted late judgings for the people that appear in their Top 3, but not awarded points for the judge himself. Is that what you are asking for? Is something different being done now?

I'd counted the one point for Ryder's late top 3 on the Round 2 critiques. The difference is about 4 points towards his total score, so I'll knock that off there.
EDIT: Fixed on both the spreadsheet and in the scores reflected in the Round 3 thread.
Hmm i always seem to stumble at exactly this point, just out of interest they need to look at all the relevant entries and make a card or pick one/ a few they like? Most of the entries aren't very cohesive i know mine aren't really based on previous entries much...
I think the combination of hard to design cards (ie twobrid) and colorless only made this month a bit complicated.

Kicker is always good for optional costs that add something to the card. The example given - Gaze of Justice - is an additional mandatory cost.
If I had to format your card, I'd make it probably:
Ghostfire Compulsion 1(2/R)(2/R)
Sorcery (R)
Kicker 1(2/U)
Ghostfire Compulsion is colorless.
Untap target creature and gain control of it until end of turn. That creature gains haste until end of turn. Anachrome — If Ghostfire Compulsion was kicked, instead gain control of target creature whose mana cost contains more colorless mana than colored mana.
But even then, it's still extremely clunky. And also, now that I think about it, that's not Anachrome (but I've already gotten into my extreme rigid view of what is and isn't Anachrome, so let's not.)
The issues I see with that are 1) more work for the organizer at the end of every round, 2) prevents reasonable debate of mechanics or whatever in the thread. Personally I don't know if I have ever remembered who gave me what even if we are critiquing each other in the same round, but I understand the point in theory. Do you feel that crafting critiques in response to critiques received is a major issue?
Considering that both yewlas and KoolKoal are both in a "May works, but June/July won't (or might not)", how about having the two of them run May together (design their theme together, KK covers when yewlas isn't available) and giving CC June?
Obviously it depends on who's critiquing who, but my card has fifty words of flavor text and, having looked at it in MSE, I'm not unhappy with the size it appears at.
Will we get marked down if its obviously to much flavour text, in other words would likely never be printed because of length. Talking 30-40 range here.
Cheers.
Sorry I didn't see this sooner. I'd recommend using Magic Set Editor to gauge what it looks like. I doubt 30-40 would look bad, though.
40 leaves things at maximum size (and is about seven lines); 50 drops it to the next size down (about 2pt smaller, and is eight lines); 65 drops it another size or so (but is still eight lines).
This is based off a quick test with nonsense text made entirely of five-letter words, though.
I demand that all CCL Hosts include links to the past rounds (including signups) every round, or at least to the previous round. This greatly facilitates the reposting of previous cards, which I feel is an important part of the CCL since it enables you to see how someone builds on a theme over the month.

Hmm. I just realized that I made a really stupid mistake. I had it there all along, and was just today thinking about a render. While toying with the spoiler syntax, I accidentally deleted the power and toughness with the render link.
I understand that this is after the deadline, but I had the P/T all along - it was just a few hours before the end that I made that mistake. I'm sure if there were other people in the thread, they'd have seen it.
I'm willing to take a probation. May I please be allowed to fix it? It's only 1hr past the deadline.
**Yeah, I can't possibly think editing the card 1 hr after deadline is a worse offense than not judging or posting. I'll go ahead and add the P/T for the benefit of the judges, and will wait for the hosts' decision on whether to give me a probation or not.
General standard is to allow the people critiquing you to decide themselves if your lateness bothers them and whether to dock points for it. We're pretty easy going in the CCL.

I'll bet you wish you had a non-unglued/unhinged card that shared your first name.
I have a slight problem with a Round 1 card neither in my team or the one I judged.
In Oorsprag, there is a card with reminder text. Reminder text is card text, not flavor text.
LordSchut, or however that is spelled, I feel that you broke a rule.
I am willing to take probation if I'm wrong, and his card is perfectly legal. But I feel that is violating the challenge. I know it is just a game, and I shouldn't get upset over this, but it's an issue I felt I had to address. Sorry.
I don't get it -_- Isn't this challenge supposed to be a fresh adventurer getting his first kill of a monster? You wouldn't kill a rare or a legendary creature as your first kill. You wouldn't kill a 6/6 gigantic wurm for your first kill. Most likely, it will be a mundane creature which, while scary, should hardly qualify for anything larger than a 4 in either power or toughness department. I don't see how people are judging entries with gigantic creatures as valid entries for this. There's very little room here for innovation in cost and p/t - I'd think the core would be the story.
Is it just me, or is there a surprising lack of critiques for Round 1? Seems like only 3 people from the tribe that's supposed to be critiquing my tribe have done so...
It is big, but in a legit frame. It also is a rare vanilla and I don't like these, especially if they feel more elegant as uncommons. 4/5
It is huge. It's P/T further supports that. But how are you supposed to kill it? Remember that every clansman alredy killed one of these to become an adult. Also, the name sounds like it should have an ability. 3/5
The flavortext is fresh and creative, though it puts further doubt into me about it's killability. Secondly, elves hug trees, they don't kill mountains. 3/5 10/15
Just two points on your critique. First the challenge said that you don't have a p/t and not to worry about what you could kill in a game of magic. So size and p/t shouldn't really factor in. Even if they do, there are always abilities like deathtouch. We have no idea what our tribal heroes can do yet. (Although I'm hoping we get to find out!)
Secondly elves hug trees, so protecting them comes kinda second nature. A moving mountain is going to 'shape the earth'. Thus probably destroy entire forests in their path.

Best of luck to our Top 8, and there will be cake and grief counseling for the other 16 contestants this month.

Thank god I passed through. "Grief counseling" feels like a euphemism.

At the very least, you can check if your exact mana cost/color/power of creature was printed previously.
