Can someone who's more probably more rules-knowledgeable than me please check my Round 2 card and see if the wording is correct? If so, thanks in advance.
Also, I'm assuming we can only have a "Creature - Incarnation" card and not a "Creature - (Type) Incarnation", correct?
Try:
Insanity4:sym2u::sym2u::sym2r::sym2r:
Creature - Incarnation
Flash, Haste
At the end of your turn, discard your hand and draw seven cards.
Cards you own that aren't on the battlefield have flash.
Creatures you control have haste.
6/6
(You don't need to specify "new" cards, numbers of cards are written out instead of numerals, look at Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir for the flash wording, and giving haste to creatures in your hand does nothing, you want it to work on the battlefield.)
Also, you need to add a rarity, usually people put (R) or (M) or whatever at the end of the type line. I'm not sure if you can add another creature type or not, I wouldn't think it would be a huge problem.
For what it's worth, team selections were made by an unbiased random number generator courtesy of "sorting a column of random numbers in the score spreadsheet".
If people continue to complain about getting stuck on teams they think it's impossible to advance from, I guarantee that someone in the next few months will intentionally rig the teams to make it impossible for those people.
Guys i have to say a lot of what i'm seeing are more like legendary creatures rather then incarnations. Although they seem quite 'loose' by association they're quite specifically templated.
1. Keyword relevent to name/colour.
2. Ability relevant to name/colour.
3. Graveyard interaction that hints at longevity i.e. whatever this creature is the living embodiment of is universal/gets stronger beyond death.
I'm all for innovation and originality but i think part of the design restrictions on this challenge was to work within the groundwork of incarnations gone before.
I'm unlikely to mark down on this because their is always a lot scope for staying open to creativity and originality in my mind but some of the cards feel off. Am i wrong? Bear in mind i had a chance to talk out what an incarnation is with some of the guys in the custom card creation area.
Keep in mind we've had two cycles of incarnations - the original seven (Wonder, Brawn etc. with Glory and Genesis), and the Lorwyn ones (Vigor, Hostility etc.) While there is some overarching theme to Incarnations in general, it's a much looser specification than you think.
I'm not sure I'm digging the "colorless es mas importante than colors" theme, but I guess we stick with it. It just seems that we could be having more fun with twobrid if we weren't shoehorning in a colorless matters theme. Just my two cents anyways.

Don't worry, my patented "where the hell did THAT come from" comes up when we hit Top 8.
MDenham, I just wanted to say that running these submission rounds concurrently with the critique rounds is brilliant. CCL always runs long, and this is an ingenious solution. I hope this becomes a thing.
I'll have to make it there first. Profani has QUITE the lead.
Yeah, but you've shaved off nearly half of it according to my SOOPER SEKRIT SPREADSHEET. (Actually, if nobody else submitted critiques, you'd have about a 2-point lead at this point. So you're pretty safely in the running.)

It's mostly an excuse to let me run the Top8/Top4 rounds longer than I otherwise would be able to. It's still technically going to run long - the schedule I have puts the finals starting May 1st and the poll closing at the end of the 10th, for a total of 47 days spent on this - but it's definitely a means to shorten things up if necessary.
I've got no problems with clarifying challenges through PMs. I draw the line at trying to explain things that are more closely related to the general framework of the CCL. Things like that should be coming in here.
Yes, I run the CCL somewhat differently from "normal" months most of the time. If you're going to be giving anything that could be construed as feedback on how my months are working, do it in public so that I can get input from more people about it. In my own interesting way, I'm trying to improve the CCL by seeing what issues are resolved, what issues aren't, and which ones are made worse by changes to the mechanics. Hence December's alternate scoring system and five-team layout (which wasn't as helpful as it could have been due to low turnout for the month), and this month's eight-team layout.
Based on what I've learned from the last couple of months I've run, August should run quite a bit more smoothly, even though it's returning to a more traditional four-team layout. (Judging is likely to be a "judge parts of each of the other three teams" system over the first three rounds. It makes it easier to avoid the "people judging their judges in the same round" complaint that normally crops up.)
Not sure if the round has closed yet, but in case it didn't, do you think i've understood the task well? I've missed the first round because I missinterpreted the challenge, and I'm afraid I could do it again. Thanks
Edit: I'm not sure if I managed Anachroma correctly as you expected.
Now I understand what you said with this method being better for latter rounds when people drop. Now we are judging one more team, making the overall about the same number of players. It can work!
Is it will be top8 overall or top1/team?

Thought of the Month: I gave up from trying to require the 'i' on my name: SolesticIo
As many of the critiques are in, and the points are quite close, I would like to raise one issue. I had brought this up with MDenham, the current host, and he recommended that I bring it up in public.
As far as I can see, the only penalty of missing the judgments once is probation. Although a second probation drops the player, any late submission of top 3s/judgments still give the player the extra points. Given what some of us go through to do the judging on time, allowing points to be given after a judging deadline demeans the dedication of people who do everything possible to turn it in on time, and makes the deadline meaningless for the ending rounds.
Yes, it's 2 points, but that still amounts to an extra second place finish in one of the judgments, and can make all the difference in cases such as this month when the scores are so close.
