I can do it one more month if we can get someone for December.
Thank you for all you've done to keep the CCL running. I'm pretty sure that without you, the CCL would've died out by now. We all owe you a debt of gratitude. Three cheers for proudawesome!

This is going to be tough round to judge. Planeswalkers are always difficult to assess. That's why many real life planeswalkers cost $40 when they first come out, but quickly settle in at $10 or less. Also, trying to tell the end of a story with just a planeswalker card is basically impossible.

I assume we are going to wait for Legend to finish his designs for the November final. Considering this, is it still ok if I edit my post? At the very least I'd like to remove the spoiler tags.

Also as a rebuttal to IcariiFA's commentary on flavor, there exist already two Oak-themed cards in THS block.[/spoiler]
If you're going to call me out, I'm quite fine responding.
In this case you are correct. There are two other oak cards in Theros, so my comment was off. However, my point was that flavorfully the card doesn't read as on Theros. Both Theros oak cards make direct references to the setting. Proudawesome makes reference to no specific setting, so the flavor miss is still there. Many entries made that mistake.
That's cool! I guess then my disagreement was with your choice of wording and not with the logic behind it! I see where you're coming from that the card doesn't make overt reference to the Theros setting.
Right, no overt reference to the setting. I felt this challenge had three parts: Being a creature, having heroic or monstrous, and being Theros-flavored. 3 out of 6 in my bracket didn't address flavor.
Dang it! I was totally unaware of that card. I guess the fact that I haven't really played, and have barely even followed Magic since Dragon's Maze is starting to catch up with me. I should've looked through the monstrosity cards in the Gatherer prior to posting. My bad.

IcariiFA - This is a really cool effect, but for nine mana I would generally want something that has an immediate effect on the board, or at least is really difficult to deal with. I think I would just make this count any spell, even if you would need to bump up the CMC some, or reduce the P/T. Excellent flavor for the block, easily the best in my bracket.
Daw thanks, Flaty! I wish your top three votes counted for me haha.
Ah, so it does. I don't know why I saw nine. All that hybrid mana must be messing with my eyes. It should probably cost at least 9 though. To be honest, I probably would've dropped you one spot if I saw it correctly, but I do actually like the ability quite a bit. Everybody else seems to have a very different opinion about your card than I do. Don't get me wrong, I think it should have less P/T (and possibly cost less as a result), but I don't see the card as being as oppressive as everybody else does. Its ability doesn't effect removal spells, and it doesn't have any immediate effect on the board. If it gets removed before you untap with it, it doesn't do anything. BTW, a Lingering Souls or two blocks this things for days.

Yeah it was really hard to balance this card while still making direct reference to Supreme Exemplar without artwork to back it up. I knew the idea behind this effect would be controversial and not a good choice for this design contest, but went with it anyway. There is a lot of naysayers that argue these kinds of effects are not printed anymore, but I don't think it is as oppressive as it reads at first and there is precedent for similar effects at similar cost in standard (Void Winnower).
I think more than anything this card would need its numbers adjusted, but the effect seems doable in standard with the right numbers since the average deck should have ways to deal with it outside of limited... but that's why it's a mythic.
StonerOfKruphix
What's a gwyllion? This card does a good job fitting into the theme and has a matching effect.
Gwyllions (which is in itself the plural of the original word Gwyll) are Welsh-folklore based evil hags who enslave/prey on the people who trespass their property. You can see them referenced on cards like Unmake and Fetid Heath. I added the "scream" part in the flavor as a reference to the L4D witch
The term Gwyllion is also referenced in card names! As organizer I like to make sure all the facts are out there.
Hip hip!

Also can I just say that I am thrilled that everyone in the top 4 got their cards (walkers! so hard!) in before deadline?! That is awesome, everyone.
And yeah, this will be a tough round. But… all of you guys are seasoned veterans, so I had to up the ante a little!
