Just chiming in to say that I absolutely love this challenge! It looks very simple, but it's actually quite harder than it looks. I wish I had that idea myself for one of the months I hosted! I can't wait to see what the contestants come up with! I may try something myself as a judge card. Not all challenges are supposed to be easy, especially later in the month.

Some questions that came to my mind:
(i) "You can have plural forms of the word, but no other forms." Does it mean "attack", "attacks", and "attacking" count as different words?
(ii) How about homonyms? (Ambiguity, or "this turn" and "turn face down")
(iii) Does subchallenge 1 mean it shouldn't have keyword abilities, or shouldn't mention keyword abilities at all?

@void_nothing...I don't think it matters but, landfall is an ability word, not a keyword ability, so I'm pretty sure I passed the subchallenge. Right? Also, both judges seemed to be discounting me for not having flavor text, but I'm pretty sure flavor text would not fit on the card.
BTW, thank you all the judges, and congrats to theazurespirit for a job well done.

You did pass the subchallenge, my apologies - although you kind of violated the spirit of it but not the letter.
Regardless, standings stay the same. All the cards I evaluated were good and it was a tight race.
But Moss_Elemental says in his clarifications that we could use ability words. I think the no keyword abilities subchallenge was meant to be an arbitrary challenge. I feel the spirit of the challenge was to use a word four times (spam, spam, spam, spam). I apologize for this response, as I know it makes no difference in the score, and I don't mean to hassle you, I just don't think I went against the spirit of the challenge. Of course I could be wrong I suppose.

Thanks for bringing it up. The reviews weren't done all in one sitting, so it's certainly possible my state of mind differed between judging sessions. I'll review them further in the main challenge category.
There will be a slight delay in finishing judgments for round 1. As soon as they are posted, we shall move to round 2. The delay should be less than 24 hours. Thank you for your patience.
He has, and he has finished. I'll be posting the next round in the morning EST as it's very late now after confirming his judgement and I should already be asleep!
I just wanted to put out there that I have an idea for hosting next month's MCC. I'll remind everyone when the time is right.
